Looking ahead if Silsbee can get healthy they could have a chance to win the next few games I heard WO-S QB broke his collarbone and they had 4 more injuries and liberty is going to bet another grind out game but I still at home finally so maybe the tigers can get on a roll play calling needs to improve inside the red zone especially inside the 10 yard line .

What happened on the Field goal that Silsbee was going to attempt before Halftime they were setting up for the kick and the refs who were in a conference just came out and said Halftime tigers were puzzled on why they didn’t get to try a field goal.

I’m just saying 48 against Vidor 34 against a good Nederland team 30 against pleasant grove and Silsbee scored in the first 25 seconds of this game I was for sure Silsbee was going to spread Orangefield out the whole game and lite them up with the 4 receivers set the 4th qtr against Nederland was a major collapse now tonight a loss that should not have happened just my opinion.

Play better how can you when every move you make is a penalty it’s deflates your team Silsbee had 2well over 120 yards or more in penalties some were legit but at the crucial moments of the game it always determines the outcome one way or another.

That’s the 1st time that I have seen a ref throw a flag on the coach without a sideline warning.

U r right unfortunately the technology and the quick and easy ways of today doesn’t result in the quality we used to have I would love to get out and cover the teams in our area with stats if I could I miss the smack attack on 560 klvi after the games that resulted in area wide fun for all high school fans I wish we could have that era back.

Why not have your best players on the field they kept their best players on the field against vidor with an occasional break or two but to not put your best players on the field during a time when they had to score I’ll never understand that every one from here to California knew that they were going to try to get the ball to Miller if I’m a starting receiver I would question why I can’t be on the field during crunch time.

I talked to some of the players after the game and even some of the players didn’t understand why they were put into basically a prevent the whole 4th qtr and the offense settled on 1 receiver they have 2 other talented receivers that could have easily made life even harder for Nederland but they were not on the field the entire 4th Silsbee coaching staff balled this game up and threw it in the trash no disrespect to Nederland but Silsbee had numerous chances to put this game away coaching was very questionable during the entire 4th qtr.

Silsbee has at least 18-19 Sophomores they are really young but coaching in the end is what lost this game for Silsbee I believe there are no seniors at the skill positions.

I don’t understand why Silsbee didn’t use Harris or Cartwright at all instead of just continuing to throw to Miller all the time Silsbee changed their whole scheme offensively and Defensively for what ever reason Silsbee had Nederland on the ropes and let them off the hook in a big way I don’t think I have ever seen Silsbee blow a game like this it’s also been said after the game that one of Silsbee’s really good receivers quit after the game that is not good.

Bryan Rudder played El Paso Americas not sure which school had to travel but even meeting halfway is still a pretty good haul for both schools.

Silsbee beat Nederland pretty good last year if the tigers can substain drives this game with be very close.

Honestly with everything going on I’m just happy these 2 good teams get to play football is awesome but safety is best and it’s hard when your team has to set out anyway Silsbee offense can be explosive but they shot them selves in the foot by scoring too fast if they can run a more balanced offense this will be a very interesting game good luck to both teams bring home a win tigers.

Yes I really enjoyed the 98 year when Silsbee beat Carthage that was fun lol Yes Carthage has beat a lot pretty bad but you never know what can happen in football especially when a team like Silsbee isn’t afraid to play any team these young tigers will make some serious noise before they graduate.

On a 4th and 1 on Silsbee’s final drive of the game why throw an off balanced pass on a roll out instead of using that big running back to get the first down vidor was in a prevent because Silsbee had 4 receivers in the field.

Silsbee defense is really young but in a loss I give their defense some credit vidor had to convert at least 3 4th down plays to keep the drives going Silsbee’s defense will get better and if the tigers QB can lower those passes down and put some zip on the ball they could really do some damage with those receivers also established a running game to give the defense some rest.

Guys I know times have changed but what ever happened to the Friday night Smack Attack on News Talk 560 klvi that was definitely the most fun on Friday night after the games were over I really miss those days I wished they could bring it back.
