BH just needs to continue to work on things and stay injury free. Next week is the game that determines if BH makes the playoffs anyways.

Although Shug was really good player (a personal friend of ours) there wasn't enough firepower on the team for a title run. During those years, they struggled to have healthy RB's, a horrendous defense, really good teams keyed on Shug. PNG hasn't had a really good defense since probably 1999, when they lost to Stephenville in the state title game. At the 5A level in our area, Nederland, PNG, Crosby, every now and then a BH or PAM will go 3 rounds and if really lucky 4 rounds, and lightning in a bottle (Crosby) to a title game. But to expect PNG to go to a title game because of one player (Shug) is crazy and to blame it all on if someone is a good coach or not is even more crazy. Just my opinion though.

No, I'm not missing the point. You think it's coaching, and I'm saying it's very hard at the 6A level to get past the Houston area for teams from the golden triangle due to more then coaching.

No need to put accolades, I'm just repeating what some people I spoke with in PNG said (Take that for what it's worth). I haven't lived there in 10 years and have no clue as to the internal situation. I personally think PNG over achieves every year, which speaks volumes about the coach and players hearts. Once again, didn't mean to start a debate whether Faircloth should be gone or not.

I was told by several PNG folks before season there has been chirping going on about Faircloth. After what I witnessed last night, I’ll be surprised if he returns next year. nederland is a team with a history of fighting for all 4 quarters. I remember a couple years ago, BH dominated Ned and all of a sudden Ned turned it on and walked out of BH with a win. Good win Bulldogs.

Forgot about Crosby probably moving up too. It may be a little harder since they will for sure be a playoff team. I’m sure they’re will be some shuffling.

The good thing is the 5A D1 district in this area isn’t very strong either. So no matter whether we’re D1 or D2 we’ll always have a chance for the playoffs.😂

Dayton has a tendency to play up or Crosby plays down in this rivalry. Crosby in a blowout this year though. I don't think anyone in district beats Crosby this year.

I'm just messing around. I agree. The only thing I don't like is the technique of keeping your back with hands in the air. I see alot of DB's doing that all over the place and drives me crazy. The kids in the article are tremendous players.

I didn't even read the article. There's not one team in the golden triangle that can say "no fly zone". They all get shredded, soft defenses nowadays.

Huntsville rolls CEK. They have a very nice stadium though.

Atascocita and North Shore are for sure. Let's look at CEK, SC, and WB CEK looks to be the strongest out of the 3 with quality win over Ridge Point, Strake Jesuit isn't the same team as years past( Their only win was over Spring Dekaney). Summer Creek beat winless Friendswood, winless Spring Dekaney, and a below average Conroe. West Brook beat terrible United, below average Tomball Memorial, and then lost an all world QB and got strummed by Houston Lamar. Houston Lamar two losses are to The Woodlands and George Ranch (Average teams). I think West Brook pulls it out and makes the playoffs by splitting with Summer Creek and CEK.

I would’ve rathered BH play WOS then Houston Heights

Crosby should win this game by 17. Not impressed by PAM. Watched Crosby and they have looked impressive early on.

May be a rough year for us

I spoke with some folks that went. Said Memorial had bad coaching and the players couldn’t get snap to QB. I think BH JV won also. It was 12-0 when I drove by there.
