Not his best, but starts facing live batters next week. Fingers crossed.

He played, just not on varsity. Waited his turn and ended doing pretty well.š

You made the generalizations along with Longball. I was talking about the original post about only D1 players are on HS varsity as Freshman. I was explaining thatās not true. you brought up freshman at BH, and I gave you the two best freshmen at BH from a non biased person. Never said they wonāt play college ball, I did however say we donāt know whether they will play D1 because they are freshmen on varsity. Thatās all, no directed at you for no reason, just replying to YOUR post my man.

Actually that was voted on and changed for this year, could be for future years. Coaches can now offer less then 25% to player (Covid era). Before this year it was 11.7 schollys to be divided amongst 27 players. The last 8 players get 0 athletic money. Some of those first 27 donāt any either. After that, if you get on team, you still may not travel to away games. Itās tough. signed, Parent of a D1 player that wasnāt on varsity as a Freshman š

Non football will probably stay the same

Lol, yea ok. Thereās two freshmen that might be on varsity this year, Ponder and Cowgill IMO. Who knows if they will play D1 or not. Who knows if theyāll get significant playing time. Thereās been a ton of talent come through BH in the last 10 years, only about a dozen played D1 baseball. A little harder then you think. dont go by dadās, go by David Denny. 2018- Juco, SFA, Army, NAIA 2019- Lamar, 2 at Juco 2020- 3 at Juco, NAIA 2021- MLB draft, 2 at Juco To my knowledge, current BH kids

BH will probably be in a 9 team district, but I would like West Brook, CE King if by some miracle an 8 team district add Deer Park or Dickinson might as well see how we stack up for the near future (6 years)

Head on over to Barbers Hill some time. You arenāt sniffing varsity as a Freshman, a few exceptions. Remember, thereās late bloomers. Usually, Junior year at BH, had a recent class with 4 Sophomores make varsity, but thatās the exception.

Iāll never forget how it started with Faircloth. Playing Gregory -Portland in the Alamodome. We traveled to SA with a big group and went to the game. 4th Q, 4th and a foot. Faircloth decides to keep QB in shotgun and attempts to run a QB draw and they get stopped and lose the game.š i thought he was gonna be ran off after that call, but he hung in and found a way for 13 years. Itās definitely been a roller coaster ride on the Reservation.

I guess itās a matter of opinion. I think someone said how do you not have BH ranked after winning state. I responded after seeing they donāt have BH actually in the top 20 of 5A. BH lost some really good players, but they have quiet a bit coming back that are good. Santa Fe, wasnāt very good last year is ranked this year. Either way, rankings donāt mean a whole lot, I was giving one persons opinion. Iāve kept of with the site for about 10 years, so thereās that. -

Shhhhh, theyāre going to be good again. That site is a joke. Friendswood will be tough though. -
Nah, soccer isnāt a sportš

Depends on your definition of good. But yes, historically Lamar has been competitive in baseball more so then other sports. Unless weāre calling 2-15 good?
