So now that we're at the break, what's everyones record. Does anybody know the Dayton and Crosby records? We haven't heard anything from them.   Gentry   7A 3-1 7B 3-1 8A 8-0, 4-0 in district. 8B 4-0

Gentry 7B, 8B, and 8A beat Baytown JR. Not sure on 7A yet.

They finally updated their online brackets; other scores for Saturday:   Division II Silver Bracket BH South 51 Manvel Rodeo Palms 31 Pearland Berry Miller 53 BH South 43   BH South takes 2nd place in the silver bracket.   Division III BH North 46 Baytown Cedar Bayou 44 Clear Creek Westbrook 40 Cedar Bayou 39 BH North 42 Pasadena Deep Water 27   BH North takes 5th place.

Gentry beats Pearland South to take the Division II Gold Bracket Championship. Great job Mustangs.

Gentry comes from behind and beats Galveston Central 66 to 65 in OT. On to the Gold Bracket championship against Pearland South.

Anybody know any other district scores?

7B. He only played some garbage time in the fourth. Needs to work on his ball handling.   Gentry 7B, 8B, and 8A all won. Do you know who won the 7A game? I hate to see that Highlands 8A lost one of their top guards last week to a fractured foot or ankle. He's a good kid he's played football and baseball with my eigth grader since T-Ball.

Gentry 8A and B both won their games against Hoace Mann. 7B lost by 4, haven'theard the 7A score yet.

That will be next week. 8th at Highlands, 7th at Gentry. So which Barbers Hill team is supposed to be stronger North or South?

Baytown Gentry has Horace Mann. Should be an easy one for the 8th graders. Hopefully the 7th graders make it another sweep.

That's funny, my youngest almost did the same thing in the Gentry 7B game. He took a shot on the BH South basket. I'm glad he missed. lol

Cool, enjoy the game. I'll try and post the Gentry scores as well.   Are there any Barbers Hill fans here that can tell me which junior high your star big man is going to. We have BH South next Thursday.

Both my boys are trying out. The 8th grader will find out today what team he'll be on. I'm not sure when 7th grade will fiind out. They have a quick turn around this year. The first game is on the 20th.

Also I forgot to add that the QB for Cedar Bayou 8A team suffered a very ugly broken leg last night. I'd like to send our thoughts and prayers his way.

Wow, so a three way tie for second place. Didn't see that happening, but to quote Ricky Bobbys daddy; "if you ain't first, your last!". Seriously though it just shows how close these four schools are.

I sure don't. Gentry 7A is 5-1-1 and 7B is 4-3.

It was an exciting game, frustrating on our part but fun to watch. Here's hoping the the folks at the UIL take a geography lesson and put GCM and Lee in the same district as BH, Crosby, and Dayton in the next two years. As a parent of two future GCM Patriots I'd much rather play our neighbors where there are natural rivalries than drive to Beaumont every other weekend to play schools we don't know a whole lot about.

Dayton 33 Gentry 26. Congratulations to Dayton on a hard fought win. Three turnovers deep in Dayton territory killed us. Two with long returns deep into Mustang territory. We'll lick our wounds and come back next week to take out our frustrations on Cedar Bayou. Proud of you Mustangs!

About to head home from work. Gonna try to catch the first half of my youngest's B Team game at GCM before heading over to Dayton for the 8th grade A game. Looks like it's about to get wet.
