  1. Tristan Pitkin, he Cherry, and Oscar Morales Fr. RF/P. Are all on the 14 U Bandito Black team. They have another pretty good freshman catcher starting on the jv, but that's my boy so I'm a little biased.
  2. GCM: "Super" Mario Morales Sr. 3B/P TSU, Derrick Cherry So. SS/P UH.
  3. I think the Sterling GCM game will become " The Game" before long. Now that they're in the same classification it means something. It will take some time but eventually both schools will be able to compete for a playoff birth. Then will see Stallworth packed with 16,000+ again. Lee isn't only non competitive but the fans don't turn out at all.
  4. Does anyone have the full schedule? I have GCM' s schedule. Soph: Thurs 8 am vs Texas City, 6 pm vs Huffman, 8 pm vs Crosby Fri Off Sat 8 am vs Crosby JV: Thurs Off Fri 10 am vs Dayton, 12 pm vs Huffman, 6 pm vs King Sat 12 pm vs Crosby, 4 pm vs Dayton
  5. Predictions for pool winners? I'll go with: A - Sterling, B - BH, C - PNG or Deer Park, D - GCM
  6. I'd be fine with that if they moved Northshore elsewhere. But a Pasadena, Baytown district would be better for the program until we get adjusted to 6A. I also heard that there is still talk about rezoning the schools. That could really hurt GCM competitively depending on what areas they move to Sterling, unless it drops GCM back down. It would also likely hurt Sterling as well. Lee is the only school that would stand to gain from it.
  7. I hope your right. If we can find away to put some runs on their ace we just might do it.
  8. Ok tryouts are upon us, the season is about to begin. Let's see some more predictions. In 22 5A I would like to think GCM would prevail but we'll probably see PNG's ace both times we face them. So I'm thinking. 1 PNG 2 GCM 3 Lumberton 4 Vidor / Nederland - I haven't seen any team previews on these two so I'm not sure who to put in this spot. This seasons going to be tough. Whoever gets the DC is going to earn it. I hope GCM proves me wrong and takes it all. I can see the top three teams making some noise in the playoffs.
  9. Gentry had their bye last week, I believe both 8A and 8B are still undefeated. They have Crosby at home tonight.
  10. If you play USSSA, they have tournaments at Carlos Garza Park in Texas City. Those fields are decent. They also have tourneys in BLD, Alvin, and Freedom Park in Katy. Freedom Park is new, haven't seen those fields yet. Nations has tourneys at Baseball USA, Doss Park in NW Houston, and Spring.
  11. My mistake, what did Lumberton lose and what do they have coming back this year?
  12. Not sure what BH has at the upper level, but I know that they have a solid group of sophomores and freshman.
  13. Curious that they have GCM behind Lumberton when GCM is returning the same team that beat them twice last year.
  14. Most of the Pasadena schools are up in the high 3000's in population I believe. Of course that hasn't helped them in football.
  15. Your mistaking them for Barbers "Unlimited Resources" Hill.
  16. Has Dayton, Crosby, and BH ever been split up into three districts like that?
  17. Definitely, the only thing better would be GCM and Sterling forming a 7 team district with the 5 Pasadena schools. But I prefer the Old Coaches projection, I have family in La Porte with a son my boys age and I'm a Channelview grad.
  18. If they start winning will the Hill build him another $60 million dollar stadium?
  19. Baytown Lee in 23 5A. Thats less travel then 22 5A but talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire. Manvel, Angleton, Texas City. At least Santa Fe and Galena Park would give them some chance at winning. I hope they wind up in 21 5A, it makes more sense geogrphically and it's always more exciting to play against your neighbors and develop rivalries. They would be an outsider in dist. 23 just like they are in dist. 22.
