  1. Martinez is a spoiled brat. Didn't he get chewed out by Pelini because he was talking to his dad on the phone in the locker room during the A&M game?

Baptiste will be a pretty good corner in the NFL

LOL as are alot of rich kids that are great athletes. He did get his rear end ripped on the sideline of the A & M game as have many Huskers that Pelini has coached.  But just cause you get your butt chewed doesnt make you a spoiled brat.

  2. Taylor Martinez displays exceptional athleticism

Taylor Martinez played quarterback at Nebraska — starting 43 games at the position during four seasons with the Cornhuskers — but might be a man without a position as an NFL draft hopeful.

Martinez (6-foot 1/4, 201 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 and 4.6 seconds. He had a 39-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-9 broad jump. He had a 20-yard short shuttle time of 4.03 seconds and did the three-cone drill in 6.85 seconds. All of those numbers with the exception of the three-cone would have either been the best among quarterbacks or matched the best among quarterbacks at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Martinez worked out as a quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back at Nebraska’s pro day. Some NFL team will have to take a look at Martinez and decide what to do with him because he’s such a gifted athlete.

  3. "and one of the most troubling aspectsis these extremly able-bodied fellows were parked in a handicapped spot, an ultimate form of jackass-ery"

Just how low will Sumlin's thugs go?

They are in the SEC now remember. They have to keep up with the standards.

  4. Dang you right Bulldog. Someone can move it if they want.

King yea that NTL game was a beat down but any Husker fans knew that was going to happen. Miami way faster and a NFL tree for players that year.

Look at the roster and count how many guys played or started in the NFL from that 01 Canes team.

  5. Hes no Cam Newton, and Cam is not very good when you don't let him use his legs. JF isn't going to be all that good either if they don't let him use his legs which you know they are going to try and make him a pocket Qb. Wilson is a pocket type Qb who just happens to be able to use his legs.  But that's just my thought.

  6. I took my 11 and 12 yr old boys to their first Aggie game this year against UTEP. They loved it and couldn't beilve there was that many people in the stand for a games lol.. Only other college games they have been to was U of H vs USF this year and 2 times watching their uncle play for Fresno against La Tech

  7. Well if that was Clowney knocking the guys head off at half speed I don't think the NFL would want a full speed Clowney. None of this would have been said about Clowney if he had come out after his Soph season. He had a bad year this year and everyone knows it. That's fine if no one wants him. Hell maybe he can fall to my Lions so I we can line him up next to Suh and Fairley

  8. Most over-rated hit of all time.

Let's see him lay a lick on The Nigerian Nightmare ala Steve Atwood. Now THAT was full contact.

Overrated by no means.  It was Steve Atwater that lit of The Nightmare.  2 different scenarios though.  Atwater came with a head of steam from the safety spot. Clowney came out of a 3 point stance.

  9. im just curious, dont know the answer that is why im asking, how many 7 on  7 champions  have actually gone on to win the state title game in their respective divisions?????

How many of the kids that played Qb for these 7 on 7 teams are big time college QBs or in the NFL.

  10. And by the way H-D, what is wrong with practicing timing with QB and WR all summer long.  On top of that, how about getting coverage work all summer long as well as competing all summer long.  You can teach kids how to win and compete in 7v7.  It has benefited us everywhere I have ever been.  Going to camp improves the individual kid, 7v7 improves groups of kids and teaches them how to play together.  It also teaches them spacial awareness and concepts.

Thats the difference between the ones who want it and the ones that want it handed out to them. The ones who want it do what it takes to get there.  And well the other just well you know.

  11. @SportsCenter: Jadeveon Clowney ran a 4.47 in 40-yard dash in his 1st sprint at NFL Combine today. Clowney measures at 6-5, 266 pounds.

Still unofficial, but that is still flying for a guy that big.

Line that guy up on the other side of JJ Watt and I feel sorry for any Qbs out there. Oh wait they will change a rule to where Watt and The Freak cant hit to hard.

  12. Didnt Johnny run a 4.6 some thing official.  That kid from Kent St ran a 4.27 I think it was.

Not that what  I think matters but the reason I don't think J M will be a great QB. HE will be just like Cam and the other mobile Qbs that ran in college. Everyone picks them but then when they get them in the NFL they take their legs away from them. Johnny wouldn't be Johnny if he wasn't able to out run half the D-LINES he was playing against on sat. Well the NFL D-Lines are just as fast as him. Take Cam's 1st year. He did his thing with his legs and arm and he was pretty dang good. His second year they wouldn't let him run (coaches) and what kind of season did he have. Year 3 he used his legs a little more then year 2 and had a much better year. Wilson can run and they still allow him to use his legs and he is smart enough not to take the hits unlike RG3. Look where that got him. If Johnny has to live off his arm its not going to happen.
