PNG has to make it out of the 1st round before even thinking about the 3rd round. Defense has been a problem every year once we hit the playoff's. The day's of PNG having a physical defense are over. Some of the better athlete's should be playing both ways and you would see a better defense. But we tend to play the politic game and keep everyone happy. Everyone play's!

I was really impressed with defense and and the running game. I dont see Vidor having a chance because I see PAM's defense completely shutting the running game down. PNG could not run the ball until they hit a few passes and was expecting PNG to throw. With better QB play ya'll can make some noise in the playoff's. The PNG line had no answer for the defensive front of PAM. QB either got sacked (7 times) or PNG got a holding call. Good luck the rest of the way.

PAM will have to get better at the QB position to win in the playoff's. Team's in the playoff's will stop the run and your QB is terrible. Everything else on your team is pretty legit but QB play is gonna kill ya'll!

I have a hard time believing PNG will stop PAM. We know PNG will line the defensive back's about 10 yard's off of the WR. PAM likes to throw the quick short passes and let their athlete's make plays. I have never seen PNG put their DB's up close to the line of scrimmage so PAM can get those easy yards whenever they want to. This will definitely be a shootout and PNG will have to score 40 or more to win this game. PNG will score some points but to win this game they will have to get some turnover's. PNG can expect Memorial to try intimidation tactics before the game and it won't be too classy. And for any of the kid's on PNG that lived in PA before, expect PAM to be after your arse and out for blood!

Kenny was a great high school QB. But he struggled big time throwing the ball when he got his chance. He is definately in my top 5 QB's to ever witness play high school QB. I have Chad Johnson from SFA in front of him. That guy could really sling it and run the option also. I've seen some reslly good player's from SFA.

How does this kid remind you of Kenny Ford. Kenny was a badass option QB who could pass some. I dont see this kid running like him. Kenny's running ability is what made him so good.

Yes I wish someone would let him know that it is very annoying. Hard to listen to it at times.

I look for PNG to bounce back in game 2 behind Leckich. I expect a shutout. Maybe 4-0 game. Then go to a deciding game 3. PNG should be deep enough pitching wise to advance. I'm not sure what SF has in their #2 and #3. Now if SF throws their #3 Friday then it could be tough in game 3 for PNG. I still expect PNG to advance. But anything can happen!

I look for Leckich to dominate today. Henry was a little off last nite and Porter couldn't do much. I expect a shutout today. What about the bomb Henry hit? That was a freaking shot! This team could roll for awhile. I'm sure PNG will see a better pitcher today but it will not matter.

Nederland may be the only team to advance out of 22-5A. This had to be one of the weakest districts I've seen in a while. Most had PNG picked at the beginning.

Nederlander, You have your own way of reading and comprehending. I never stated that several player's were at the beach drinking and shouldn't have been playing. I was saying some get caught some don't. And I don't hide from anything so whatever. You dont know what I know or who I know. I assume your a kid that just wants to go back in forth on the computer.

And no doubt he was wrong. I've seen this somewhere else and the police hauled the guy off. So don't get confused with what I'm saying. The father is highly temperamental and sometimes we do stuff for our kid's that are insane. I don't throw name's out on social media just for the hell of it. So I will refrain from that. As for as PNG's administation goes believe me I know for a fact the Superintendant has had a rough week dealing with the situation leading up to the game. And I know Cavness is on top of this. I'm not defending the kid's actions but after speaking to a few of the Nederland player's, the adrenaline had to be at an all time high in a rivalry game. The Nederland player said he told him "to sit his arse down"! And it was in a very animated way as he was fired up. As for as the dad going on the field. He never made it past the Indian dugout. So to say he was on the umpire is definately wrong. Coaches and player's talked him off the field. We don't know if he was going to get his son off the field or what. So many assumptions! I'm sure the dad was all over his son afterward's. We've seen Nederland player's go to jail and get tickets and still play so don't act like this dont happen in Nederland either. I guarantee you several of kid's from both team's were at the beach drinking but didnt get caught. As parent's we dont know everything our kid's do outside of our presense. Their is a kid in the pro's and at a bigtime school right now that did way more than get an MIP. Kid's do a lot of stupid thing's that we cant always control. I'm sure there will be some kind of discipline for both father and son though. I had a problem with Leckich pitching Tuesday and then pitching last night. The coach took him out after 4 innings and he was dominating so he had to be concerned about the amount of pitches in 2 days. Then when Henry gets tossed he brings him back in. And it was also a cold night. I guess the win is more important than the kid's future at Baylor. His parents were highly upset in the stands when they put him in. My other question was why was PNG bunting with one out with runners on 1st and 2nd with their best hitter up? That really made no sense. I'm the coach could hear the fan's. Discipline has definately changed since Stone left! I assure you the next coach will be a highly disciplined man. No doubt in my mind who it will be! And he was a highly animated guy when he pitched. Another rumor was a bunch of scouts left when Henry got tossed. The scouts were not there last night so not sure who started that rumor. The scouts know when Henry is pitching so they were not there. There in contact with his dad daily! Personally I wanna beat a team when they have their best players on the field so Im not sure why there was so much talk about him playing. I can name a few Nederland guys that played when they maybe shouldn't have.

Memorial pitching should be much better this year. Former PNG/Lamar player Eric Harrington is the assistant coach. They have 2 quality coaches now. Eric is not only a great pitching coach but also very good hitting coach. So I look for Memorial to be much improved.

This game was 10-0 before PNG pulled their starting pitcher and made substitutions in the field. After those changes the defense got sloppy and Orangefield took advantage. Britni had a no hitter when she was pulled. So this game appears closer than it really was. PNG was slamming the ball all over the field and Orangefield appears to be very young. They will compete with some young talented player's.
