Yea, Lady Titans isn’t really good at all.  Not sure if they’re young, but man ohh man.

Talent just isn’t there, I saw that coming a few years back. After Julia Sion graduated 2 years ago, they still had a couple talented girls that graduated last year. I haven’t seen them this year, but they had one underclassman guard that was super fast, just struggled scoring consistently. Shewolves are positioned to make a deep run this season. United and HJ should be playing in San Antonio this post season. Lumberton and Jasper could make a nice run, just happen to be in the wrong region! Although, that is why you play the game.

  2. I’m not sure what is going on, but what you just described is what was described to me what happened in GP but during the 4th qtr. and the refs called the game and had PNG forfeit. I have a feeling they were still losing. I like passionate fans, but no matter how bad the officiating is, you can’t do that. I complained the last 4 years that the officiating of HS Girls basketball needs to improve. The games tend to be way more physical than the boys games. It’s a combination of things, but I wish it would improve.

Unfortunately some of the applicants didn’t want their current boss to find out that they applied. So, unless it’s leaked out it’s probably not going to be made public.  I will say this, they had applicants from Dallas Area , Houston Area , East Texas, Central Texas and local that applied.

If that is the case they shouldn’t have applied, if a request is made this list would be required to be released due to the Texas Public Information Act.

Cant wait to see that young lady at the next level!!! she has been grinding since she was 10! Gonna be the best girl from the golden triangle EVER. Sorry I love Alexis Morris

10?? I witnessed her in the Nome Dome at Age 7 knocking down 3 pointers and was freaking out telling her dad, most girls her age can’t even reach the rim from right under the goal and she is knocking down three’s. It’s been fun watching her from such a young age! Congrats and I want to see you get two rings before you head off to Blue Devil land!

PNG does have a new coach and is in a district with new teams (United, Crosby & GP) along with Barber's Hill, Nederland and Memorial. This District is stiff competition compared to the last three years when your daughter played. HJ is at another level. As a parent who has a daughter that plays at PNG, I would not say that it was an embarrassment. HJ has scored over 100 points against their opponents, not just PNG. PNG still has great talent but I do not see them making the playoffs due to much better teams in the district now.

Hardin Jefferson Good Luck to you and I hope you Win State this year.

This wasn’t a dig at PNG, this was a compliment to HJ. I root and cheer for PNG girls basketball more than anyone. I want Coach Robertson and the girls to continue to be successful. PNG definitely benefited from the district they were placed in the last two years, I’ll be the first to tell people that. PNG has the talent to beat some of these teams, they just have to believe in themselves and play up to their full potential. I had them coming in 4th in the district before the season. The loss of young talent due to COVID before  the season and a couple of in season injuries have hurt them. PAM has been a surprise team in the district. I watched the Crosby game and I still feel like PNG could beat them. The big for Crosby is a tough match up, but if defense is disciplined enough they could stop her. Nederland is as good as I thought they would be, but PNG can still match up and beat them as well. United and BH are on different levels than the rest of the district.

I disagree coach.  A program is reflected by it all and the coach sets that tone.  I'm not tying to stir up anything, just making an observation the first time things didnt go your way it wasnt handled with much class. I would think being on that side of the coin more times than not would be a teachable lesson.

Hey if you like the target by all means make it a bigger one....Beating PNG by 80 and carrying on like you really did something seems silly. Now against Summer Creek when the game was on the line and huge play was made hey celebrate away. Thats just me and my observation.

Ahhh, so only get excited and play up to potential when it is a “tough” opponent???

Good thing you aren’t HJ coach. These girls should be showing up every game against every opponent like it is the state championship, that way when they do reach the State Championship they “Play like they have been there before”  Fans, parents and “Uncles” should be creating a state championship game environment every time they show up to watch, that way it’s not a new environment when they do get there. You don’t change your game or how your fans cheer based off of the opponent!

  7. Not as embarrassing if they didn’t have a running clock in the 4th. Actually, I don’t know if you call it embarrassing or not, you just got beat by a group of girls that dedicate and put work in to be better at there craft than you do. PNG for years has done that in Volleyball, if they ever make more of a shift in basketball they could be good there too. Mine dedicated herself to basketball for four years at PNG and she lead them to the playoffs the last two years and that was with only one other dedicating themselves. Got to put in the work and time to be that good and you should never let up to not “embarrass” a team because they didn’t work as hard.
