So if English gets the AD job then Simmons or Barrow would be the new Football Head Coach, and if whoever gets it turns out to not be up to the task, then we would be looking for a new Football head coach and for about the next 20 years we would not have the tool of AD to entice a good candidate to come here ! that's how I see it, somebody straighten me out if I'm wrong.

The coaching circle is tight, and word travels quickly... Interested coaches ask other coaches on the staff and throughout the area. Believe this, they have stayed away for a reason....
 

If they did only have 8 applicants that is not much of a surprise. What coach would want to come to a place that has no community support to pass bonds to upgrade schools much less the athletic facilities.

Has nothing to do with athletics or who I'm a fan of. Fact is you're not going to force my child to go to a school that is giving a lesser education just because you want to have equal athletes at that particular school. And Ozen and Central has benefited from athletes that were zoned to West Brook!

Bottom line,,football is the money maker in Nederland..not basketball..

Reagan as I stated earlier, when you have a program that has been successful like Nederland has under Larry, you should stay in house. You probably shouldn't stay in house when a head coach/staff does in the August Era. That is how schools with tradition continue there tradition. Just saying be careful what you wish for cuz you may get it. JMO!

Only problem I have with him is that we have to chase him around for 2 more years.  Don't matter what color uniform he wears, he is special and anyone who truly loves and appreciates the game will respect that.  No telling how long we are gonna get to watch him.  Congrats and good luck every week except when we play.

I don't think anyone matches up with wos.  You still have to go out and play the game, but if you continue to do your thing then a title is coming.  I was very impressed with the speed and even more impressed that they would hit you.  Don't think I have seen a team in a long time that will hit like this year's wos team.  Enjoy the ride and congrats to all from wos.  One more game.

You must not have been around in the late 90's. I think Long was a damn good offensive minded guy who knew how to take control of an offense. How many other coaches can teach a teenager, albeit it was his son, to call his own plays and be successful. That takes someone special. He left because he wanted to adjust the offense according to what talent he had each year and Burnett would not let him after Dustin left. If Long would have stayed and allowed to do his thing PNG would have been very successful as long as he was there IMO.

Trust and believe he would have performed in 22-5A that's just a gifted kid son or not. Trust me your Indians glad they didnt have to see him.

I think I know why... Ned fans aren't talking trash because we know we are the underdogs. PN-G fans aren't talking trash cause they've lost 6 straight in the series and were favored in at least 3 of those ball games. MCM... anything can happen.

Despite all the controversy, the Dogs are vying for a playoff spot during MCM. No matter how much I cuss him, still a tremendous amount of respect. I do truly believe he and Jeff Mathews are the two best coaches in the Golden Triangle. Hell of a job coach.

The only shot for Vidor is if the PAM coaching staff forgets #25 in Port Arthur.  If #25 gets on the bus and makes the trip to Vidor, PAM will roll to the W, collect the district championship trophy, and a perfect regular season.  The PAM defense will shut down the Vidor misdirection running game.  Too much speed on the PAM defense to be fooled by the Slot-T.  And, #25... he is dynamite in open space, he knows where the end zone is located, and he can get there in a hurry.

Memorial will win by 3 tds.  We any to it with vidor and we were never really in the game vs memorial. They will be hard to beat for the foreseeable future

WOS would win that match up and that is no offense to PAM.  WOS is just that good.

Seems like y'all need a new rivalry , when you lose the last 4-5 years kinda takes the spice out of the gumbo , makes it bland , you guys need to be taking applications with a team you can actually compete with year in & year out..

Dude , you talking about all these "new" P.A fans on this board , we'll I just joined so I took that as a slug , homie I graduated from Memorial , started at Lincoln in the 9th grade , been in P A made a decent life and been here all my life bro lol , so you talking about people showing support , it don't necessarily have to be on "This" board to show love , you , and yeah my nephew on the squad , my baby cousin on the JV team and my son on the freshman team , so at times I am biased , what point you trying to make by stating you been on here ? Or stating if they were 1-4 yada yada , well they aint 1-4 ,You more loyal than the rest , you trippin bro , you then flippeda the script  , because you messed up about some bullcrap that aint got nothing to do with anybody else , especially these kids , check this out , we need volunteers to help out with the little titans pop Warner team , helping kids with discipline , integrity , competitiveness , helping them "grow" instead of "criticizing" and name calling , that's a start , that's what "those" people do✔
