Losing enrollment to the other teams as in other schools are growing much faster than Dayton and will theoretically have larger pools of talent to choose from going forward. For instance, Porter and NC already have decent players at their current enrollments which is 200-300 kids greater than Dayton's. In a couple of realignments their enrollment will be 500-600 kids greater than Dayton's and they should be even better teams, similar situations for Crosby and BH. By 2020 six of the nine teams in the district will most likely have enrollments over 2000 and BH will be 1800+.

Well, it was proven y'all cheated in that one so maybe Ned really wouldn't have handled Livingston and looked more like they did against Vidor.

I know you just moved back but you'll see Dayton's jv records are often better than their varsity ones. You son and his teammates should enjoy the winning while they can. Dayton has a lot of good kids now but they're still 2-5, they're going to have less next year and it's going to get even tougher as they lose enrollment to the top teams in the district. Hard to see the offense and defense both worse than last year and think there's some player development going on. Good luck to Dayton too, after tomorrow of course.

6A Region 1 division two is awful solid. 6A Region 3 division one is flat out ridiculous, all the second round games would be regional final worthy. Winner of the 21-5A D2 #2 seed vs 22-5A D2 #1 seed would have a very favorable bracket this year. Newton and WOS look Ike they can both win titles this year, little bit easier road for WOS.

It was in Dayton, heard the refs there were very favorable for the Broncos.

38-21 Crosby Final

Lol, my buddy told me Crosby would have 40 if they could catch.

26-14 Crosby at the half

I think Crosby is going to match up with Cedar Park in the third round. If we win the game I think we'll play for a state championship.

I think Carney will pick up another non-power 5 conference offer by signing day. His numbers won't look as well but he's every bit as good as David Harvey who signed with Nevada after a late offer. Kid is pure, reminds me of Eric Decker. He would be a much hotter prospect if he didn't play on those previously poor Porter teams in run based offenses.

I think they're doing right now because they're blowing teams out and are able to run the ball a lot in the second half of games. You have to credit PNG for being able to run the ball on the teams they've played though, the numbers also look a little more skewed rushing wise because Johnson can pull it down and run on passing attempts. Against some of those weaker teams you can run the ball with scheme but it's going to take physicality and talent to run it against the better fronts like PAM. -
I think New Caney loses to BH and Crosby. I actually think Crosby goes in and makes a statement the last game before the playoffs, Riordan will be reminding them they lost last time they were on that field.

23-114 with one TD rushing, 5 receptions for 44 yards. 31 total touches for 158 yards and one TD, 5 yards per touch. Craig Williams as a freshman, 16-148 and two tds. Grace 7-67 and three tds.

You'll find out what's it's all about Friday night. When we went to the semis not one kid signed D1 after the season. The D1 kids raise the level of the kids around them. We have studs but you'll understand our overall player development mixed with the drastic difference in coaching is the difference in our programs now.

Please tell me what night McBride was ever unstoppable against Crosby? Unstoppable is one Twin running for 240 and the other running for 268, not getting stopped on fourth and short your senior year.

When the same coach runs the same system and uses the same in-game theories you get very similar results with the only usual delta from season to season being talent. That's why Kevin Flannigan can take 5A Crosby to the playoffs seven years in a row and still get basically fired after a first round loss to Vidor, even though two years prior he was undefeated district champ and lost by 7 in the third round. He goes to 6A WB and has them undefeated before he gets beat 72-7 which along with stuff like that first round loss explains why he was let go st Crosby. Same coach, basically the same system and same result relative to his team's talent level in the district. Look at Fairclothe's record at PNG, which I'm sure you don't know, and you'll see exactly what I mean. I probably think he's a better coach than some PNG fans even do but if you look at his squads yearly they're pass happy with defenses that are proven soft against good teams. I saw PNG play twice last year and give up a combined 90 points after they had a supposedly decent defense. As far as who's on the team and different players you sound like a BH fan. How many letterman did PNG bring back? Half those same kids are on the team. It's stupid logic to compare pro teams with yearly draft picks and free agents to ones with set enrollment caps and very little variation in talent level too. Unless you have a rapidly climbing enrollment, which PNG doesn't, you look the same with the exception of a kid here or there. You probably haven't been watching high school football much before your brother got here so you don't realize you've played an extremely weak schedule which is why Nederland is in the hunt after losing to 2-5 Dayton. -
I don't think Porter will beat Splendora by more than New Caney did. Splendora isn't good but New Caney's defense is their offense. It doesn't matter what offense you run, if you run it well you can probably put points on NC. Splendora ran it but can't make wide open catches or hit open receivers so they only ended up with 29, they probably get close to 40 if they could complete forward passes off their playaction. Dayton scored 26 throwing at least 4 picks that I saw but had receivers and rbs running open down the field but didn't have the coaching to get it to them. I think Porter will try to shorten the game and grind the clock against NC but I would imagine both teams score in the 40's when BH and NC play. Porter is probably about to blow Splendora out though, it's going to be hard to beat a Jim Holley coached team running that offense.

Same coaching and finesse mentality though. Score will probably look similar. -

Lol, PAM has been dealing with Jalen Hurts(Alabama), Maciah Long(Kansas) and Austin Upshaw(Memphis) the last few years in district play. The talent level those kids had around them also dwarfed anything PNG could ever hope to have. I'm sure they're relieved they get to deal with Johnson. -
My point is Howard is playing behind an LSU commit and getting looks from reserve time, Johnson is the actual starter and gets to put up numbers. Howard will also benefit from having better coaching and players around him to raise his level of play once he's the full time starter. Johnson is pretty good from what I've seen on film though. Definitely going to be a lot better qb that Morse was.

Maybe McZeal isn't the receiver Rose was but when last time we played PNG a kid named Aaron Brown, who's one of the better JUCO corners in the country, manned him up. This kid was supposed to be a huge difference maker and put up some numbers when Brown got hurt but even though he had about 20 targets he didn't make a real difference and it hurt PNG's offense, I remember the starting rb getting pulled for ineffectiveness because we didn't have to respect the pass with your biggest threat cancelled out. If PAM comes out ready to play I think PNG gives up their usual 40+ they do to good teams and PAM wins by two or three scores. -
Ah man, what happened? You were all over this board earlier this year talking about what Dayton was going to do, now you're saying you want to be like Porter. Crosby has lost one game at home in the last five years, I highly doubt a squad coming in giving up 45 a night will be the one to get the second W in that span. Your program is weak and will get worse once the attrition starts from losing and judging the talent level I've seen in the lower classes. Like the previous Crosby poster said, make sure you keep count of what the two SEC level players in the backfield do that didn't play against Porter. To make it even worse, once the LSU commit is done playing qb we have a sophomore ready to step in and set passing records. Can't think of another school besides Manvel and Guyer recently where the sophomore backup qb is already so highly thought of in recruiting circles that he gets a recruiting page six games into the season: Jaiden Howard - [Hidden Content]

I understand that you have to stoop to pretty low depths to be contacting kids during the season but I wonder what the end game is IMG? Just to be able to say we're the best at getting kids ready for college? You don't even have a chance to win a state title at IMG and if you have good crowd at one of the home games you might get 1,000 people. How does IMG actually benefit if the athletes are recruited and go to school for free? Do they feel they can steer kids towards their sports agency once they're able to turn pro? I guess if kids are willing to leave Allen's program there must be something to it though.

Low class coaches at IMG academy trying to recruit Craig Williams during the season. Hopefully it never happens again, I think Texas high schools have stopped scheduling IMG due to crap like this:

PAM is only giving up 12 points per game so far this year. I think their overall team talent dwarfs anything PNG will be able to put on the field. Last week I think it was hard for them to get up for a team that doesn't move the needle, I highly doubt that's the case Friday. Last four times I've gotten to see PNG play they've given up between 41-56 points. The numbers may say otherwise but I still think the defense lacks physicality that PAM will be able to exploit, I feel the same way about the offensive run game for PNG against good teams. Indians are going to have to shoot this one out, unfortunately it will probably end like Wounded Knee.
