I also went to check what records I have found and please keep in mind I am missing results from several years (1989-1992, 1997-1999, 2001, 2002, and 2004) **Not even sure if they played maybe Bon Mot can help me update my records**. The years I do have (1993-1996, 2000, 2003, 2005-2009) show Lumberton holding a 9-10-1 record vs Nederland. Like I said that is missing a few years which I have been unable to update. I went back this morning and looked a little more and found 2 more wins for Nederland giving them and edge over Lumberton. Sorry for the mistake

WE did ...last year. Scrimmaged and played a tournament game. Scrimmage score, for what its worth, was in favor of Lumberton and the tournament game was a tie 0-0.

Really, I hope you are not implying that we play with everyone back on defense? Maybe our defense is just real good at getting between the attack and the goal. Sure there are 9 people in the box if the ball is there. Thats called good defense.

I may be a little bias having played for Lumberton and now coaching there ,but I truly feel that it is a fair statement to say that both of these schools have a wonderful winning tradition about their programs. Lumberton has won 11 district championships and have been in the playoffs 17 staright years. Not sure how many DCs the balck and gold have had Nederland at one time had a 17 or 18  year streak as well. Not saying that one is above the other but that both have had an outstanding history. As for my program, I will say that it is an honor to be grouped with teams like Nederland and PNG who have had success in this area the way they have.

played soccer all 4 years of HS at Lumberton and i cannot recall one fight ever breaking out or  a player getting a red card for throwing a punch

2-1 Kelly wins. First, let me wish the Kelly team the best of luck next tuesday as they have a big game. Shark you have a very impressive team and they were by far the best team we have seen this year. IMO, a questionable call with 4 minutes left led to a Kelly PK and a win but kelly dominated us on the field tonight and unfortunately got the win  >:(. #14 is a very agressive and very talented kid and I will right now go out on a limb and say that he is going to be a great one! Good luck Kelly and thanks for a great game!

I know that this opinion is shared by many fans, players, coaches etc..  but these boards in the soccer forums have become a joke. Whoever these people are posting these ridiculous topics are ruining these boards. These posts and topics lately have been immature, ridiculous or down right ignorant. Has anyone else noticed that none of the regular posters(aries, bonmot, newbie, newcastle and others) have been on lately or that topics are being repeated by what seems to be immature kids who are making a joke out of setx soccer. It makes me look forward to a friendswoodfan post at least he has interesting and intriguing arguments.  :o Dont know how much longer I will even continue to post on these boards if this continues.

Granato scored a goal for his team that was negated by an off the ball foul last night. It was the only scoring threat of the game for concordia who lost 3-0. He did this with only 6 minutes of playing time.
