You know I read these threads and some of them are funny, some are serious, but most of them hold the dumbest ideas I have ever heard.... Alex Durley has a stadium named after him. Why would you ever move his memorial? Why does everything in Beaumont have to be so racist? Carol Thomas was not a football coach and should have never had a football field named after him... Name a Science building or library after the guy...Steve Shaver is the only coach in BISD to ever be recognized as a 5A State Champion and not have a memorial. Actually, he was the last coach from this area to do it... This guy was an Athletic Director, Coach and Mentor to as may high school kids, if not more, than Alex Durley or the Levias fellow.... Im not knocking anyones accomplishments, but why does Coach Shaver never get any recognition? This guy has coached some great football players, and got alot of them to the next level, no matter what their color was.... He was a great role model for young people to look up to. You want to change the name of the football stadium, Change it to Steve Shaver Memorial Football Stadium... A person who coached football in BISD for 20 plus years, was color blind just like his players, and Coached the last 5A State Championship Team from BISD..... Should have been named after him in the first place....

Or for that matter, a coach that will stay for more than 1 year? What will yall call the next one??? Arcade Atkins? Plez enlighten us.

Every year I been around the golden triangle Other than this past year ; special season or this is the year Commit has been made. ..And this last years team was pretty well of and more balance than the last few to come though. ...

Don't know what happened to our sticks, but they need to wake up pretty quick. Great job by Ryan Johnson tonight. He shut us down. Time to pull up the boot straps and get to work.

That's great! WOS wants to see everyone best,That way when we win we will not have to hear everyones lame excuses about not having their ACE on the bump!. No doubt about it, when it comes to baseball, BC and Silsbee have great programs. Hope Powell returns soon!

They had to fight for it. LCM had bases loaded once with 1 out new pitcher came in and had one run in then two outs. Then the last inning LCM had bases loaded with 0 outs and Erickson got 3 outs right after bases got loaded

He is more than just above average

In district he threw 8 shutout innings against HF, also tossing 7 innings while giving up 4 runs (not sure how many were earned) against OF.

Aiden is a pitcher that in my opinion would be all over the radar with you guys if he had not have sustained an injury last season...If he has is "A" game he will be tough, IMO better than anyone BC has faced.

If the rankings meant anything, they might take them more seriously.
 
Basically you just need to finish ranked 1-4 in your district. The rest is just internet fodder.

I know its kind of hard for some of yall to believe that WOS is 4-0 in district! But these kids believe in what they are doing. To comeback in the bottom of the 7th inning, trailing 4 to 0 and to tack on 5 runs to win the game shows a lot of Character GO MUSTANGS!!!!!!!!

WOS has taken advantage of the opportunities they have been given and that, along with a little luck, is what has to happen to win. Shae Landry has done a great job putting WOS baseball back on the map.

Pitchers Duel? Didn't WOS just pitch their Ace yesterday? Not sure which Anderson is their ace.... But, I'll take BC in this one :)

IMO if Aiden pitches they will win. But hey anything can happen. Buna has a good team this year I just think his pitching is better than their bats.

I like your rankings Rake1. I believe having Wos in the top 5 might be a little too early. Top 10? Maybe? I like their record and what they have done but dont believe they have truly been tested. Well see what team they really have after playing Buna tomorrow and then the tough tests of BC and Silsbee. If they can go 2-1 much less 3-0 against those teams then they are legit imo. I'm very impressed with what Coach Landry has done with this team and also know his assistant coaches are as good as they get. Coach Westbrook was one of my coaches when i played there, so I know. Looks like the kids are buying in to the program and BELIEVE they can win. Those two things, great coaching and kids that believe, are the recipe for success...and a tad bit of luck here and there. Ive only seen them play a couple times and hope to make at least 1 of the next 3. Could be a special year for the Stangs and they are young too.

This will be a tough one for both teams. Stangs are on a roll and the Cougs are on a tough stretch.

I just wanted to say that the pitcher from OF( BP ) did an outstanding job on the hill! Great job going the distance! Look forward to another matchup!

Im sure OF will be prepared to play WOS, just like WOS is prepared to play OF, regardless who pitches from OF, WOS still needs to be ready to swing the bat, OF has struggled here lately but you cant take that for granted. anything can happen on a friday night! WOS needs this win to continue to build momentum going into next two weeks when they meet up with BC,Buna and Silsbee! Good Luck to both teams tonight!

I'm willing to bet that if Stump leaves the new HC will also be the AD.
