I got to talk to your dad a year or so before he passed. He didn't care for Green anymore than I did. That guy was a joke of a coach. WO went to the quarter finals in 1974, only because of the players. Green lied to his players and and went so far as to not award a deserving young man a jacket, because that kid called him out on his lies.
One thing about Dad was he would tell you the truth whether you liked it or not. A rare commodity now days!

Another blowout!!

Yeah, Adolph Hryhorchuk tried to get Wade Phillups hired as Head Football coach at West Orange, in 1972, but the less knowledgeable school board, listened to an even less knowledgeable Bob Franks, and hired Liar Glen Green, who was nothing more than an 8th grade football coach.
Aint that the truth!! Dad also remained great friends with Bum through his years of coaching at Houston and New Orleans and was even offered a job coaching with Bum at NO but declined. Those were the days.......

I too would like to know what was said. I subbed at WOS for a brief time and I can say the kids at WOS are excellent young men and women. No one knows what these kids deal with on a daily basis when they leave the confines of the school. I'm sure BC has kids that deal with similar situations also.

I have been to a lot of WO-S football games in my life, and there is one thing you that WO-S is great at... STOPPING THE RUN. You don't run the ball on WO-S. You cannot run the ball up the middle because you run into Mr. King (4yr. Starter). and you cant run the ball outside because then you go right into WO-S bread and Butter and thats there speed. There is not a team in the Area that can hang with WO-S. So saying that, I'll take WO-S getting the 3rd straight shutout in blowout form.
WO-S- 48
BC- 0PAM?? WOS is good REAL good! I think WOS is the BEST in 4A DII.......

Dubois will do everything within his power to have the cardinals ready come Friday night. Only problem is, is how do you prepare for a team that is loaded with talent, speed and the desire to be the best!! I look for BC to score but I doubt very seriously they get more than one TD. This should be a good game, but the score will not reflect it! I say WOS 42 BC 7
Good luck to both Teams!!
-
I think if BC can score and just keep it fairly close (like less than 3 tds) then I like BC chances as they look to improve over last year. WOS is just a well oiled machine that has unlimited resources and Coached by the best so if you can at least score then you might be part of an elite group!

I thought this thread was about a field being named after a Jr. High coach not about the football at WOS! I think it speaks for itself!

I thought the practice field was named in Breedlove's honor. If that's the case, why does is show on the stadium scoreboard?
Breedlove never coached varsity football at WO-S. Most of his years were spent at the middle school. There are other ways to honor a longtime coach who did not have a part in varsity football, but a few people in the community made a big deal about doing it this way and now we have this sign.
I can think of several coaches who I think are a lot more deserving of something like this!! And it sure isn't someone's brother n law or uncle. Do they have a name for the crapper because I can sure find a name that's fits it perfectly and it's not a coach!!

This game will not even be close. If its close its only because CT respects Crouch and will not run the score up. WOS by 30 pts!

2013 was a slugfest also against Jasper where WOS won 18 to 16 or something like that. We sat on the edge of our seats the whole time! What a game! I cant remember Jasper running back but he was bad ars (cunney) or something like that! He was short and thick hard to hold on to.

Luck and flip of the coin is part of baseball IMO, especially in the playoffs. The errors at the beginning of the game opened the door for Robinson, not to mention the errors in Game 1. Like I said GREAT accomplishment for the Bears to finish 4th in district and to make it this far.
The way i saw it LCM just didnt have the dominant pitching that WOS had last year and in my opinion that was a big piece of their success. Anyways great season for ALL OC Teams!!
-
Robinson is no doubt a quality club, thought LCM had a chance but after Mitchell left the mound, not much hope from that point on. Great season for the Bears finishing 4th in district and getting this far shows what kind of heart those kids have.

Completely different runs. WOS had three dominant pitchers and were able to outlast people in a series. If you ask most people that follow HS baseball closely (coaches, and fans) most would tell you that one gamers and series are completely different animals. It is much easier to knock off a dominant team once than it is twice. The only similarities I see between the two teams are they are both finding a way to get the job done.
Agree 100%, the two Anderson boys could bring it right along with JD so IMO that's what got them to the SC game. Three very effective pitchers, I don't see that with LCM. It will be extremely tough from here on out but never say never!

you might as well play the game at OYBS if you agreed to LCM!! VB was the only choice!! Jasper I have a feeling will chill down those hot bats! Only in OC!

For the year or District ?
I believe its for the year, although I could be wrong! I looked it up on Max prep. KJ definitely has an eye for the ball this year, and so does the rest of the team.
-
.500 batting average for KJ aint to shabby!!

Should be a fantastic series! Win or lose both teams can hold their head up and be proud of what they have done! Go 24-4A!!!!
Will there be anyone stop WO-S MUSTANGS High power OFFENSE and Defense

I would too! But being the game is at WOS I feel pretty confident WOS keeps their winning streak alive!
