  1. Congrats to Kenny on the win!
  2. That's fine, but the last time they played was when? MaxPreps says 2013. I'm not going to pick LCM to beat Lumberton because LCM has beaten them a lot years ago. I'm going to pick LCM if I think they're the better team than Lumberton this season, this week.
  3. What has LCM done this season for anyone to pick them to win? I mean Lumberton has been okay themselves but it's not like LCM was undefeated or anything and ppl just picked Lumberton for no reason. LCM has been below average for years now.
  4. lol Temple has been one of the best teams in the state of Texas for a few years now. If they lose I doubt that's going to keep them from going far in the playoffs. Actually the situation may make them advance even farther. It's not like they played the starters the entire game and they sandbagged it. They put the backups in and backups did what backups do against another team's starters
  5. Is the rule that got PNG to forfeit a Texas-only rule? Because I know Hudl Sideline is a big thing to schools that can afford it in Florida and other states. But it gives you the film in real-time from the camera to a TV on the sideline. I'm very surprised that Texas has this rule of all states. But if someone knows, let me know. I'm curious.
  6. Since I'm living in Lake Charles now, I might try and hit this game up tomorrow. Gotta get one of those turkey legs
  7. I know it's an SETX board but I know there are a few McNeese fans or at least followers on here. I'm back in sports reporting, covering McNeese for the American Press. So if any of you guys want to follow, my twitter is the same as my name on here.
  8. Good teams in 3A D2 usually have 1 big time stud and a lot of solid parts around him. Newton has 4-5 big time studs with a bunch of really nice parts around them. And great coaching.
  9. Unless you know the details of Newton substituting kids in and passing the ball late, it’s probably best not to say this. Very possible backups on the team took a running play and scored late. I’m not gonna tell a kid not to score when he just gets in.
  10. Not always true. I guess it depends where in TX you are but a first year teacher/football coach can make near $60k, which is more than a good amount of head coaches make in Florida. But I can’t speak for a smaller school like Evadale.
  11. lol this is like when they tried it on the DeSoto coaching topic
  12. Bro, I'm not at work 24 hours a day. Bro, I'm not breaking news, I put a tweet up in a thread that seemed like it would be useful for. Thanks for being concerned with what I do with my time though.... bro.
  13. the sun can give you skin cancer but you go outside don't ya?
  14. Speaking of PAM QBs, I just saw that Kadon Harrison just switched from QB to WR at UL
  15. Not that it was expected to be Peterman anyways, but he got named the head coach at Brewer in Fort Worth. I'm real curious as to who PAM will hire.
  16. Not sure if anyone else saw this yet, but Grayson Padgett hit a walk off home run for Houston against San Diego in the 12th inning. Said in interviews and tweeted pretty much that he did it in Blain's name. Pretty cool story in such a tragic time for the Padgett family.
  17. That wasn't quite what he said. He said the family wasn't willing to relocate. That makes more sense in my eyes if that was actually what was said. FSU went after the UM WRs coach but I think the wifey helped put the clamps down on that. So he's still in Coral Gables.
  18. WOSGrad, I respect your opinion on that and everyone else who feels the same way. But at the end of the day the coach has to win. It won't matter how much he can help unite the community if the team comes out and starts 1-5. Fans will be united in complaining about the team's struggles. I'm not saying he will do for sure struggle, I hope he succeeds with United. But just from being on the outside, I haven't seen anything that shows he will.
  19. If Todd Peterman applied for United, I'd have to imagine he applied at PA Memorial. I think he'd be a great fit there.
  20. Not surprised that Tony did that well at the combine. He's always been that type of athlete. Idk how he will be as a cornerback/nickel back, but he definitely earned himself some money just bc of his athleticism and special teams prowess.
  21. Just heard about this from one of my old co-workers. Wow that's sad. My best thoughts, prayers, and condolences with the Padgett family and the Rice/H-J community.
