  1. I hadn't seen this Jackson kid before. I googled him tonight and my goodness. I see why he's going to Bama.
  2. Vernon Jackson with a 19-yard TD run on 4th down for Boling. XP is good. Newton leads Boling 33-28, 3rd quarter
  3. Boling can't hold onto the ball tonight. Newton recovers the fumble on their own 13-yard line.
  4. Boling fumbles again trying a trick play and Newton recovers it
  5. Josh Foster to Noah Williams, TD Newton. Ran that 2 minute offense to perfection and only needed about 45 seconds.
  6. Newton forces a Boling 3 & out and a punt, first of the night
  7. Hook & ladder gives Newton the lead. 27-21 Newton leads Boling
  8. TD Newton. 2 pt conversion is no good. 8:29 left in the first half, Boling 21, Newton 20
  9. TD Boling. XP is good. 21-14 Boling early in the 2nd quarter
  10. End of the 1st quarter: Newton 14, Boling 14. Boling has the ball near midfield.
  11. Next play, TD Newton. Darwin Barlow with the TD run. 2 pt conversion is good. Tie game at 14
  12. Newton forces a Boling fumble and recovers it on the Boling 1-yard line
  13. Newton driving the ball, down to the Boling 2. Boling calls a timeout.
  14. TD Boling. 99-yard drive for them. XP is good. 7-0 Boling leads Newton
  15. Saw on FootballScoop that Matt Stepp tweeted that Chris Massey is retiring. More of the Houston-area but still close enough I think.
  16. No one can tell me why the games aren't at DKR (outside of money). That whole requirement that the host stadium needs to have a roof is so bogus. The only teams that have access to domed games during the regular season on a regular basis are those Frisco ISD teams. I hate to sound like that guy but whatever, IT'S FOOTBALL. You should be able to play outside in the elements. AT&T Stadium is nice don't get me wrong, but they should not have a monopoly on the state championship games.
  17. I used Kelly Catholic in stories I wrote when I was there. Way back in 2013, when Danny was a wee lad, barely out of grade school.
