  1. The conference may be a downgrade but Lamar probably has a higher trajectory in the next few years than New Mexico. And it may be an easier road to a conference tournament victory and NCAA berth at Lamar.
  2. Can't this technically count as both? And I rarely look at the college forum so my bad.
  3. Jordan Hunter is transferring from New Mexico back home to Lamar. He'll sit the upcoming season and have two more to play.
  4. Elijah Hines committed to Louisiana Tech last Friday
  5. One player makes a huge difference down in 2A. Look at Kolten Mackey going to Evadale. They probably would have been good anyways, but they went to another level with Mackey there. I can't imagine Bremond will be the juggernaut they've been because of that.
  6. If anyone can't see the tweet, Jarron de-committed from SMU. He visited Texas State yesterday.
  7. Someone in this thread said (and I'm paraphrasing) that "It's okay to be in an interracial relationship, it's better than being homosexual). Interracial dating is not a sin. Homosexuality is a sin. But there are a lot of things (in the old and new testament) that are sins. Some people choose to focus on some sins over others. Honestly, homosexuality has nothing to do with interracial dating but someone was thoughtful enough to bring it into the conversation.
  8. So what you're saying is ignore the parts that are convenient for you in the Old Testament. What about the 10 commandments? Keep them or no? Since it's the Old Testament. "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God" 1st Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you treat drunks, adulterers, or even someone immoral or greedy (how broadly those can be used) as the same sins as homosexuals, or are those okay? And please tell me if that is from the New Testament. You seem to know it much better than me.
  9. lol. So God said in the Bible that you specifically should not eat it, so it's not a sin if you do eat it? What is it then? Just not listening? AND it says you shall not eat pig because it is unclean. So explain to me how it is a poor analogy. Do you need it to specifically be told to you that it is a sin? Is simply NOT doing what God asked of you not enough?
  10. The bible also says that any seafood that does not have fins or scales should be considered detestable (you shall not eat any of their flesh and you shall detest their carcasses). So do you consider someone who eats shrimp as sinful as homosexuality? Or are there different levels depending on what you like or don't like?
  11. 2-3 more inches on his height and he'd have way more FBS schools looking at him. But SMU is getting a stud
  12. I know the Titans have Keitha Jones that they can use at QB, but I also saw in another thread that they have an up-and-coming kid, Kameron Ladia. My question is, is Jones penciled in at QB or will there be a competition? Ladia looks like has a live arm but is younger. But if he starts you can utilize Jones in a bunch of different places on the field. Just curious and wanted to see if anyone in Titan nation knows more about the situation.
  13. If anyone can't see the embedded tweet, Jarron Morris committed to SMU.
  14. Speaking on enrollment, I thought Newton was for sure gonna win at least one state title so far dropping down to 3A D2. But like kicker said, dropping down doesnt guarantee anything
  15. The 'd' word, uh oh... The next coaching staff always looks better than the old one in the honeymoon phase. I hope this new staff succeeds, but everyone is undefeated right now. No losses, penalties, etc. But, I know some people did not like the old coaching staff so they probably could have hired anyone and fans would like them more.
  16. 7-on-7 is not pointless. However, it is not as important as it has suddenly been made to be in the past five years or so. It doesn't always have to be one extreme or another. Pass skelly is good for QBs/WRs to get used to their passing plays, timing, route running, etc. On the other side, it's good for the LBs/DBs to get used to their drops and/or man coverage technique. It should not be used to evaluate anything else though (recruiting and the such). But it's fun for the kids too in the offseason and summer.
  17. You can run the triple option out of the spread. "Triple option" nowadays doesn't simply mean lining up in the wishbone and running the ball. With the RPOs, your triple option can be: QB hand off to the RB, QB keep the ball and run, QB keep the ball and pass it at the last second. You can even add a 4th option and bring a RB in motion and make him the pitch man. Silsbee could be running the traditional option, but this is just my thought on it.
  18. They beat Deer Park 45-24 last season. It will be a good game, good test for PAM. Looks to me like a top 2-3 difficulty game for the Titans for this season.
  19. While you're right, how would it be proven? Unless there is a text or email trail, no way you can nail that down, even if it is true.
  20. And if he left now, he wouldn't get another good gig right now just because of the timing of the move. Everyone starting spring ball. I think he'd probably take this season off and try and come back to a position after this coming season. Or he could play this season out and then find a new gig. Weird situation either way.
  21. The players may be happy, but if you're Peterman, you will always have the thought that these board members want you out in the back of your head. Doesn't seem like they'll be on his side if any important things come up.
  22. Unless there is some underlying reason that the public doesn't know about, this is an absolutely ridiculous move on the surface.
  23. Julie Carter just scored for Jasper. 2-1 Boerne leads with less than 20 minutes left in the game.
