  1. I haven't heard that, but for the life of me cannot understand why that would help the economy.
  2. While I can somewhat understand your frustration, this country needs to go on with life! Everything cannot be stopped or shut down due to fear, the consequences of doing that for the short time it was done are already devastating. Businesses are closing and many good people have lost their jobs, with no other jobs to be found. Where does it end? What will people have to go back to if the country is shut down again as you suggest it should be? The fact is, that in the long run, more lives will be negatively effected and lost due to the consequences of the shut down (or an additional one) that have been effected by the virus itself. At some point a line has to be drawn.
  3. To be truthful, one is in accordance with executive order GA-29 while not wearing a mask if you are able to maintain a 6 foot distance from others. Taking off the mask should not be an issue while sitting in the stands at 50% capacity.
  4. Sure. Financial reasons from the effects of COVID-19. Otherwise, this game would've 100% been played.
  5. With all due respect, the game was cancelled due to COVID-19. The discussion was about that reasoning, and why one may think it is/isn't a good reason to cancel the game.
  6. LT Falcon, I know you liked this chart, but it shows there have been zero covid deaths among Texans aged 5-24. There were more deaths due to pneumonia.
  7. No one is saying its fake news. However, I am saying .003% is not enough to stop the world over. There are a lot of things that kill at a higher rate than Covid. Are we going to stop driving cars? Don't you think it's weird NO ONE caught the flu this year, or at least you didn't hear anything about it? We should all be asking questions. Those who do not are the "ignorant" ones.
  8. 87k cases out of a 29,000,000 population. That's .003%. Maybe his response isn't so ignorant? Numbers and facts matter. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.
  9. He's right up there with a lot of these guys. Some on here will discount him because he played at Lumberton. He was a man amongst boys. He was also a Willie Ray Smith Award winner I believe.
  10. T.J. Light - DT Lumberton I think he played in the early 90's. 92-95 range.
  11. The 31-0 tigers lost in the 1st round of the playoffs if my memory serves me correct. Quite a few great Tigers teams can be on the list, but I wouldn’t put that one on there.
  12. Can’t wait to hear all the negativity on this subject...
  13. I just think Coldspring is playing their best basketball at the right time. The Central Heights team they just blew out was a bunch of bruisers who seemed to always manage to hang around in games. IMO, that was a very impressive win.
  14. Hard to argue with Silsbee being at the top. I'd throw Nederland and East Chambers in the discussion for #2.
  15. Great season for the Raiders. Best in school history!
  16. I don't know what happened. I'm simply questioning the legitimacy of four outstanding basketball players transferring to one 4A school in the same year for academic reasons. Since doing so for athletic reasons would not be permitted. Is that not a valid question?
  17. I don't think La Marque is ready for that kind of punishment either. Yates is gonna run away with the state title.
  18. I was on the fence about all of this but after reading through some of these posts, if true, Yates had FOUR Senior transfers this year. All who are major contributors to their team. They also had a fifth transfer who was denied. (I must have missed the reasoning for the denial) It seems to me all of the other accusations of recruiting against HJ and Silsbee, etc. are just that. Accusations with no real substantial evidence. I'd say four Senior transfers is more than enough for the UIL to have to look into the situation. Especially four players of that caliber. What are the chances of that actually happening?
  19. This is true. I also saw those 8th grade kids play together at Silsbee. Adams was there playing with the Tigers.
