They definitely have. I’ve seen every game Buna has played this season. They’ve improved greatly. It took a bit to get used to what the new coach wanted out of them, but they’ve caught on now I believe. Also, along with the 2 girls from Kountze, I think Reese Sherman is one of the few front runners for district mvp. To this point in district play anyway. We’ll see how it goes the rest of the way.

True. Kountze beat Buna by 23 and only beat EC by 8 tonight. I think we have 3 really solid teams in the district this year.

Yes they were. I still didn’t expect the game to be that close though. I really thought Kountze would win by around 15-20

I’m not sure if they’ll make the playoffs either. It’s a tough district this year. I don’t think any team will go undefeated in district. All 5 of the teams you mentioned in your post are good, but none of them head and shoulders above the others.

Buna 46 Kirbyville 21

I've seen every Buna game this season. The Orangefield game (28-14 OF win), was really closer than the final score. Buna had tied the game at 21 mid-way through the 4th, but the score was called back because the Cougars didn't execute the trick play correctly. (Illegal forward pass was correctly called) Then on the next possession, OF busts a big run to seal the deal. I guess my point is if Buna can be as discipline as they were last week against Kirbyville, I think they could and maybe should win the game against EC.

They agreed to a running clock. If they wanted to run it up they would have kept a normal clock and scored 100.

And I'm here calling you out because you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. If your going to say stupid things in a public forum, don't be surprised when someone corrects you.

What do you want them to do? Tell the backups to take a knee instead of playing? The backup QB played the entire 2nd half, along with many backups on defense. If you weren't there, don't talk about it. Also, you can't exactly "run it up" in flag football with the 30 point rule.

Agree. This could have waited until the end of the season. I don't feel like the kids' best interests were taken into account before this decision was made. I take that back... There's no way possible the kids were even considered while making this decision. However, they picked the right interim for the job in Terrier.
