  1. My dad died in Jan 2025 from dementia related complications which were caused by hydrocephalus (fluid on brain) rather than.Altzheimers. He was misdiagnosed for 8 years, and i kept telling the docs that his decline was to rapid to be caused by Altzheimers ,so more research is definitely needed. A VP shunt would've saved his life if they would've properly dx him
  2. Tarriffs back on says federal court
  3. From who?

  8. So they need to address that instead of decreasing funding for eveyone
  9. Medicaid is mostly income based. Medicaid Waiver programs are not based on the parents income and the disabilities are documented by a physician. This is already being done
  10. Why didn't you say the able-bodied, and who do you want to determine if someone is able to work, Trump?
  11. I dont support the decrease in funding.
  12. Yes. Some providers charge for services that the patient never received. They also up up code or code in bundles. There are some who submit claims on patients that they have never seen
  13. No, you were excited because people on Medicaid have to work at least 20bhours/week. I merely asked about those who couldn't work
  14. A lot of physicians submit fraudulent claims. We have a whole dept that is responsible for investigating providers.
  15. 1. Medicaid was not managed by MCOs in 1982. 2. Do you think that the cost of healthcare would be cheaper if everyone was insured? 3. People make bad decisions, doesnt mean they don't deserve health insurance.
  16. Texas Medicaid does not pay for cosmetic surgery nor does it pay for gender surgeries In Texas, Medicaid does not cover gender-affirming surgeries. This is due to a policy that prohibits the use of public funds for such procedures, including those related to transgender care, according to the Texas Legislature Online (.gov). This policy applies to state-funded insurance plans like Medicaid.

  18. And he is losing badly. He had over 150 lawsuits and only won 1 if I am remembering correctly
  19. 1. Before managed care companies started to manage the Medicaid population they didn't have a PCP so the only option was the ER. Now we encourage them to get well child checkups annually. They are also instructed to call their PCP when they are sick 2. What does that have to do with someone being on Medicaid which is income based. Maybe they got an income tax return and bought a tv. Could you afford medical care without insurance? I am sure that you have a nice car, etc 3. Mdcp program uses the kids income so parents who have a lot of money use Medicaid as their secondary insurance because their kids are really sick [Hidden Content]
  20. Decreased funding= inadequate care. Nursing agencies could possibly receive lower reimbursement so they could refuse to accept Medicaid. We already have this problem so it is only going to get worse.
