Two weeks can be a Tall task when trying to catch up after spending time at a charter/prep.

Student records can go amiss when they shut down.  

Katys numbers are skewed....to me.

Weak schedule.......except Woodlands

The Woodlands PF 138  PA 28     4 games

Ft Bend Travis. PF 107 PA 217 pts 5 games

Mayde Creek PF 92 PA 248 pts    5 games

Katy Taylor  PF 78 PA 83 pts   4 games

And they lost cred with me for "not being able to fit" De LaSalle in the schedule this year.

For some reason i just dont see them running through all the 5A and 6A teams in the Fort Bend Tournament...........but stranger things have happened.

They had been able to recruit talented players = requires less coaching.
Less talent = Requires more Coaching , and the lack of gets exsposed for what it really is.
Marshall has run the same plays for 4 years , and that 2 quarterback system he forces on the kids aint working.

Calhoun put 460 yards on the ground , threw the ball maybe 4 times.

Marshall probably wont make the playoffs next year......notice the steady decline.

Rushing attack must be stout to only throw that many times... that record LOOKS like they can't throw when they're in trouble though. I think Crosby's front can keep them at bay. Hopefully Crosby's offense can get them ahead early and plc will have to play catch up

Im actually appalled by some of the comments.
I guess its just not good enough doing what you have to do as a parent to pay rent/mortgage , keep the lights/gas on , and put food on the table.
How about some if you visit the areas in the daytime (Antoine , Kashmere Gardens, Sunnyside) that sight would deter most from going at night, then see these kids and their parents reality and not what you think it should be.

What does their coach tell them next Monday? How can you pep them up or prepare them for a team like WOS? I also hope that they dont do stupid things in the game out of desperation and get someone hurt. Im in no way saying they are like that, but when you have nothing to lose...........

Coach says "Boys , its been a long season , but across that field are a bunch of guys just like you who think they have NFL talent. 2 maybe 3 may go on to play in college but the others will be in line at college registration just like you. So go on and give it your best , hell , come december hundreds of thousands of boys will have played their last high school game. Just make sure you get that college degree.
When the guys are taking a break swapping old high school football stories about how great they were and what they were "ranked" , you can walk in and say breaks over , get your tails back to work you bunch of has beens; by the way i was on that team yall beat down.

I actually watched one of these yesterday.
Losing team only had 17 kids suited up.
28-0 first quarter losing team hasnt scored 80 points this season.
The head referee actually told him to stop blitzing and sacking the qb , at to at least let them run the ball.

Ive always said in these games rotate some second string in with the starters and run regular running plays, they are going to need to know the plays and blocking schemes in 2 weeks , same with the defense mix in second stringers teaching in-game assignments.

Playoff time when you have to sub in a guy to give the starter a breather or due to injury and you have to put in a kid that hasnt hit or been hit at game speed all season usually doesnt bode well.

Foster forced the turnovers, they're a defensive team. Yes, Marshall lost their qb to Lamar but his replacement is a 6-3 junior stud with an offer from Michigan St. among others. Madison is also solid this year and will win their district in HISD. It's also the home to players like Vince Young, Courtney Lewis and Broderick Thomas to let you know what kind of talent they keep on a regular basis. A&M Cons. is about to run off about 10 straight if that's any indication of how they're going to turn it around.

Just as Ketchum was told but refused the move to receiver , Jeremy Smith is no longer the starting QB and has been moved to receiver in favor of Cam Roberts-Jackson after just 2 1/2 games.

Madison (1-2) "should" win district but may not...NO coaching. If he was any good wouldnt have been a 16 year assistant under Seals. Madison has recruited talent from Worthing and Westbury but still not good.
Short 5'10 sr qb = all running plays
Tall 6'6 athletic so from Worthing HS w/rifle arm = passing plays but coach wont play him due to the senior.
Ray Seals was at their last game vs Terry ....he needs to get back on the sideline.

Foster was the only team to beat Brenham last year before the title game and held them to 10 points. Early on, Foster looks to be the best 5A team in Region 3.

That 2012 season was all Ketchum (Lamar transfer after 9th grade) , the 3 year starting senior o-line and those stud transfer d-linemen from Jack Yates (All American D. Hollins @UCLA and A. Lee @UTSA )

Marshalls recruiting well ran dry two seasons ago....and the last of them (Crookshank and Sheffield) are seniors.
They are running the same offensive sets four years straight. If they dont work in the first half coach comes out after half and trys them again.
Hell , i can call the plays from the stands. In their regional final playoff loss to Manor the Manor d-line was telling Marshall the plays they were calling and coach says keep running them....when Ketchum audibled out he was benched and that fight continued last year. Now that the talent pool is down the coaches are getting exposed. Kids are quitting and some going over to Ridgepoint.

You have to commend WOS for playing up to a 5A d1 school but after seeing what they did to Marshall last, who's probably the d2 favorite in the region, I don't think this will be much of a contest and that's no knock on WOS. Not only did they destroy Marshall they also hammered A&M Consolidated in College Station. Many of the experts outside of Houston had A&M Con. picked as the favorite for the 5A d1 title. Elkins, who is probably the rightful #1 team in the state had to go to double OT to beat them but Foster beat them by 3 tds.

IJS, Marshall has about 10 d1 kids including a 5 star of their own and just lost by 29 at home last night. All props for WOS playing the game, it can only make you better barring injury. Southeast Texas is about to get their 2nd taste of the 5 teams from FB County I've been telling y'all about the past 6 months.

Fort Bend Marshall is overrated. NO coaching. Any decent coach that wathches film can beat them, same offensive plays 4 years running. Dont/Cant make adjustments either side of the ball.

* WOS has better coaching and should be able to put on a decent showing.
