Lamar has top recruit J.W.Ketchum now. He transferred.
Ketchums transfer was best for him and a year late...at odds with HC and OC last 2 years...also refused to move from qb to wr so coach could start coworkers less talented son. -
Jack Yates isnt promised to come out of Region3.
Lost starting pg and center, high minute 6'6" reserve, and 6'10" reserve to prep schools.
Maybe a few more last minute departures....we'll know Aug. 26th.
Up and coming kids have long way to go and short time to get there....come on Bandit.
This year will be like 2010-11 after Peters,Gardner,Roy,Davis, Young and crew graduated.
Playoffs yes.....Austin....possible but not likely. -

Coach Wise has always been that way. If the press has gotten us this far apparently it worked , why change now? If you get beat you're not running the defense the way i taught you....so we'll keep at it until you get it right.
I have this same argument with his 2001-02 & 2002-03 Hightower team kids that live in my area that lost as they put it ...because coach wouldnt come out of the press.
We've practiced this every day and now you cant do it right ? No son, get it right or lose.
Same with time outs...aint gonna happen. If you cant execute there are no bail-outs turn it over... and try again. And the players no better than to call one except in the game vs HJ Guard called one on an inbound play and got cursed out "Dont call no damn timeout ! Cant get the damn ball in give it back to the ref ! "
* Also for those that were at the Wylie game vs Madison ... down 40 points .... yep we're staying in this 2-3 zone son...now get out there and win. -
What are the odds ?
*1 An opponent shoots more free throws than the combined team totals from 9 of 11 state final games (2011-12 & 2012-13) and one ft less than the combined total of the 10th game (40ft's) ? 2 more games yet to be played.
*2 (2011-12 playoffs = 9 games 18 referees (2012-13 playoffs = 15/18 referees 1 game to be played.
There are only 2 referees from last years group to return for this year and guess whose games they were assigned to ? Both years ?
Not the reason my JY team lost to a more athletic man for man and very physical team .... But !
And that #3 Mr Gilder is a bad , bad , man.....saw him hit 6 straight 3's first quarter vs Wylie. -
Yates only lists 2 seniors....so the feeder middle schools have only produced 6 varsity players the last 4 years ? Did the rest of the guys quit basketball ? Were they magnet programmed to another campus for non athletic purposes ?
There are roughly 500 kids "zoned" to Yates that attend another school. Im just sure you Recruit Police have verified none of them play sports at the "non-zoned" school they attend. -

If any of the 5,161 kids not attending their "zoned" high school participates in any sport or academic extracurricular does it qualify as recruiting ?

Yates JV boys played most of the second half.
Would have easily been a sixty piece if they didnt have tonites game.
Waco Connally's #11 Dontay Raglin fouled the Yates kid knocking him to the ground then kicked him.......thus enters the beatdown.

The district buses them to school and back...not sure if they have late buses for after school programs.Those that dont have a ride back to their neighborhood due to the relocation after practice and late football games wont play.
