  1. Chet will be an all star for many years. Banchero might too. But Chet will get bigger (KD couldn’t lift the garbage bag when he came into the league) and the things he does with the basketball at 7 foot plus are ridiculous.
  2. I agree completely. Their other incoming freshman, Jarace Walker from IMG, played for Will Barton’s team in our league the last three summers. He’s a great kid with a ton of talent and is the top ranked PF in the country. I think he’s also the highest ranked recruit for the Coogs in a decade. All that said I like Arceneaux better. Especially in what Sampson does.
  3. Agreed. Kelvin has always been great. What he’s done there is spectacular.
  4. Idk, maybe it’s Chris Jans now. If his guys could have hit the broad side of the barn piggy would have gone home 2 rounds ago against a team that didn’t have nearly the amount of “dudes” arky has. So maybe Mississippi aggy now has the best coach in the SEC. And I would put Coach “I wanna be the coolest” above Cal either. Not by a long shot.
  5. I don’t think it’s potentially. Junior will be playing in Houston and it ain’t gonna be with the Rockets.
  6. You may be right. I hope the blue blood advances here. Musselman annoys the crap out of me for some reason. He wants to be Bruce Pearl when he grows up.
  7. FIFY. (And Kam played HS at Seven Lakes until his sr year when he finished at Sunrise Christian.)
  8. It’s the Walmart of the major sneaker brands 🤷🏻‍♂️
  9. I’m with you King. Obligated to root for the U. McGusty is our last kid standing in the tourney. In this one anyway. Gig em Ags (gulp) for Hefner In the other one.
  10. Whatchu talking about Willis? I’ll have you know Chester is the Duke of Northwest Tyler County basketball.
  11. In all seriousness, I will say when we won the NIT a few years ago, we had no business in the big tourney. I am impressed with how hard A&M has played. A lot of times the best teams who get screwed by the committee mail it in during the NIT. Credit to Buzz for having this team still playing it’s best basketball. They clearly are out to prove a point. I hope they continue to do so.
  12. A&M and OU both part of the first 5 out. The long arm of big brother…
  13. Honestly they could and should win it all. I agree with you they could still be playing in the big dance.
  14. I’m including the NIT in this thread. A&M playing well early in the quarters. Now give my guy Hef some quality minutes Buzz. He’s created more “buzz” for Aggie basketball than anyone since Caruso.
  15. Is undefeated in conference play good? Having just finished hoops, we are familiar with the exact opposite of that. But in all seriousness, way to go Cards!
  16. Hayden Hefner would be if the Committee hadn’t been smoking crack during the selection process…
  17. This is what happens when you send a mouse to do a bear’s job…
  18. I think there was a core of 4-6 players that were really wanted back (I don’t think this includes walk ons, and walk ons certainly got more minutes than expected this year). For the most part, I expect the team to look a lot different next year, with some juco transfers contributing heavily from the outset.
  19. I would like to ditto what Hagar said. Not only has this site given us hours upon hours of entertainment, many of us have formed friendships here as well. In fact, I don’t know I would have met the aforementioned Hagar if it weren’t for site, and that is a friendship I very much treasure. I’m not sure what this website looks like in the future, because when I think of SETXsports, I don’t think of the HS basketball board or the college board, even though those are the two I routinely visit. I think of WOSGrad and AggiesAreWe. I will miss you both. But i will take solace that AAW and a cold beer are only a drive to the beach away. Enjoy your retirement my friend. You deserve it.
  20. I like them too if Kerr really is able to come back healthy. I also like Gonzaga. They have the right combination of young studs and seasoned vets.
  21. I’m guessing there are a lot of teams in that A&M would be a favorite over. A lot. Conference tournaments should matter because it lets you know who the hot teams are. Pretty horrible snub.
  22. They had two return this year that were also their starters last year. One was diagnosed with a rare disease and missed the first half of district but was able to return the second half and made first team. He has another year.
  23. That’s where I have it too. Bears were deeper than the Mustangs so I would have them 2nd as well.
  24. They were. Just saying top to bottom talent wise, OF was at best the 4th most talented team.
  25. As for the timing of posting these teams, I think the following day is the general rule of thumb. It’s an etiquette thing to me. Not criminal but in poor taste imo. Like calling a timeout up ten under a minute for any reason other than to empty your bench.
