  1. I see Mr McClure had 42 & 16 last night. Friday will be interesting. It is really tough to handle the waves of pressure that Silsbee throws at you for an entire game. I expect Brock will perform admirably, much like I hear Boudreaux from BC did last night against the Tigers. When you have seasoned, 3 and 4 year starters, it certainly helps. This game will be the one to watch. Regardless, I think this is the 1-2 matchup most of us expected at the beginning of the season. Hope both teams have a competitive, healthy game.
  2. I will grant you Wise is a better recruiter than an Xs and Os guy. No argument out of me there.
  3. You may be right. But Hicks has them only behind Atascocita and Elkins on his latest ranking. My guess is the true answer is somewhere between his and your estimation. Good news is we will get our answer on the Hightower/BU issue. On another note, can you imagine how many championships your Lions would have if they had a coach like Brian English of Nederland or even Coach Green of BU? Might have been scary.
  4. Point taken but it’s really tough to prepare for BU when there are no teams which compare with BU around here this year. Tough to prepare for that kind of talent without facing that kind of talent. And no one else around here has it. They are quite simply going to blow the doors off of most of the teams they will play.
  5. How is there room for that?? You’ve been wearing that bad boy like a face thong for almost a decade!!
  6. C’mon man. Don’t mess up a good piece of meat. Medium rare!
  7. Bon appetit
  8. In fairness, BU is a matchup nightmare for almost anyone who laces em up against them. I agree with most on here - if Nederland keeps it within 20 that will be a surprise. And that is no slight at all towards the Bulldogs. They could be a 2-3 playoff win team and still get manhandled by United. Just a beast of a team.
  9. You are better at drawing penises than spelling “butt.” The walking, breathing aggy joke that keeps on giving.
  10. Arguably their best player got hurt a couple of games ago.
  11. Double standard on the site. And he’s so ate up with all things Texas he can’t help himself. He’s a sad little person.
  12. Why? I like him, he’s an intelligent guy and I respect his opinion. Some of it he’s right about, some of it he’s not. He’s also too young to remember the dumpster fire that was Alabama football for many, many years before the Saban hire. The point is, certain programs are always just the right hire away.
  13. Not sure what you’re asking. Based on what I think you’re asking, sometimes I think a particular kid is a different level at D1 than where he signs, not that he “isn’t a D1 kid.” Some places and levels are better fits than others. The smart kids find the best school and level for him. As for Brock, with his size and athleticism, combined with his ability to shoot the basketball, he will do quite well in the Southland conference in my opinion. He’s obviously a bright kid based upon his academics...his choice in school amplified that for me.
  14. They are playing UNC’s Jv team, a team Nd dominated at full strength in Chapel Hill earlier this season. Going to be hard to make a case. Regardless, ND played Alabama (late season, when saban’s teams peak Alabama) 11 points closer than aggy did. The committee will rest easy tonight, after snickering themselves to sleep.
  15. What’s the alternative, rematch the 52-24 butt blistering? No one not wearing a Gomer hat wanted to see that (except maybe Bama fans obviously). Still say they should have put in Cincinnati- who cares since after the top 3 everyone knew it was colossal drop off. Throw the mid majors a bone this year. But the Irish may prove the committee right.
  16. I think everyone realizes now it should have been: 1/2 Bama/Clemson 3 tOSU 4/5 ND/Ou Everyone else. But congrats to the SEC on hitting a FG at the buzzer to beat a mid major who “didn’t even want to be there.” 😂🤣😂🤣
  17. I don’t know why I am even bothered by this stuff anymore. More often than not, they are hypocrites it seems. But for some reason, the ones who come off holier than thou (and no one acts more holier than thou than this d-bag), it bothers me even more.
  18. I agree. That sort of behavior should only be tolerated on the political board 😉
  19. Yeah I understand. I watch about 50 games a summer involving Hs seniors to be. In all games, at least half of the kids are D1 players. In about half of those games, 90%+ of the kids in uniform are D1 players. Many of them are high D1. 6 of the 1 round picks in this year’s draft played in those games, including the number 1 overall pick. 2 of the likely top 3 picks in next year’s draft were involved in said games. So I’ve been fortunate to see what a D1 (whether it’s a high major, high mid, mid mid, or low mid) looks like. Brock is without question a D1 and I will say he will get significant minutes, even as a freshman next year.
  20. honestly I don’t know if he would. But BU is as talented a team as we’ve seen around here. You have 2 kids at least who are High D1. But after Arceneaux, Yates, and Porshia, my guess is Brock would find a spot in that lineup.
  21. And bingo was his name-0. The other funny thing I’ve noticed, guys like Tic Price tend to know which kids’ games will translate to the next level more than joe fan in the stands. I will say this, unless they were playing Beaumont United, Brock would be the best player on the floor in virtually any game they play in this area. I will also exclude Silsbee because it’s unfair to compare freshmen to a senior.
