I Want My SEC Network....
Peppermint Patty replied to Peppermint Patty's topic in College Sports Forum
Texas is an Army of 1. They do not suckle from the teat of the other schools in the Big XII. Let's be sure we compare apples to apples. -
Based on their last 3 selections, they don't care.

Poor Aggie. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. -

Texas kept that pimp hand strong on 76 occasions. The ags should have filed for divorce a long time ago. -
Slow your roll. [Hidden Content] To find most of the mighty SEC West schools, you'll have to scroll down to the 100's on the non-conference SOS rankings.

I ain't sayin' she's a gold digga...... -
Contrary to popular belief, you can win with kids that do things the right way. You don't have to accept drug use or lower your academic standards. If a player does not think he can follow the rules, then UT will not be an option. In Charlie we trust!

If they lose to Kansas, Austin may implode. Hopefully they will give him a chance to get his program in place. This is a DRASTIC change of philosophy. They wanted to lose the "soft" label and he's trying to do that. Although most Texas fans/alumns are not rational at times, hopefully the ones with the money will be.

His 2 star brother Bryce has done pretty well at Baylor. He is one that Mack missed on because he did not have enough stars I guess.

Not worried about that. Picked up a 3 star Baylor reject today. LB Breckyn Hager (Austin Westlake) and son of former Longhorn Britt Hager. Let's ride!

Not at the time of the SEC Network. Yes. The LHN was a poor business model. Happens all the time. I am sure it will not be renewed. ESPN wants you to follow the SEC. Surely you understand how this works? It's not about jealousy or envy. It's cold, hard, facts. ABC does not want you to watch CBS programming. It's the same thing.

ESPN invests millions of dollars in the SEC. Spend season promoting their investment. That about sums it up.

The NCAA limits the amount of athletic scholarships you have available. -
But TAMU beat 'bama in football. No one else has ever beaten 'bama. They are also back-to-back recruiting champs! That makes them relevant. If you don't believe me, ask an aggie.

He would be better off with a fake ID, drunk and passed out at Northgate, selling his autograph, with a bucket of stolen crab legs. Seems to be the criteria for a Heisman Trophy or a starting gig at UTAM.

Same player, just finalized his dismissal. Cutting off some more mold. AUSTIN — Texas offensive tackle Kennedy Estelle has been kicked off the team, becoming the ninth Longhorns player to be dismissed since Charlie Strong took over as head coach this year. Estelle, a 6-7, 285-pound junior from Dawson, had been suspended since early September, and Strong said Monday he expected his opening-week starter to return to practice within the next few days. But the school announced Tuesday that Estelle had been dismissed for an unspecified violation of team rules — the same explanation UT gave for the departure of six other players. The other two, wide receivers Kendall Sanders and Montrel Meander, were kicked off the team this summer after they were arrested and charged with sexual assault. Estelle played in 16 career games for UT with nine starts. If he’d returned to action, he would have been the Longhorns’ most experienced available offensive lineman.

It's an under-statement game. Texas should win. That's an understatement.

Or that Sumlin scored 60+ on the Tigers when they were down. Unlike Lamar, Auburn got better.

He left lots in the cupboard. It's just stale or rotten. Charlie is going to trim off the mold and we will see how it tastes. Right now it's hard to swallow.

Nah. I love you guys too. It would be no fun if we agreed on everything.
