I love the score being how it is. This is what builds winning programs that are feared year in and year out. These kind of Ls are remembered in the following years. They are already defeated before they step foot in the court. WOS does it in football (beating teams by 50 if they can every year). If you don’t want to get beat by 100 be better. Don’t be soft.

Local schools...
5a- #16 Beaumont United (way too low!!! Should e a top 5 team easily... do t let the lack of games fool ya 5a!!)
4a- #1 HJ, #7 Lumberton, #14 Jasper, #25 Silsbee
(great showing for our area!!!)
3A- #9 Woodville
All these rankings mean nothing right now... especially when one positive covid test at the wrong time could wreck a season... However... its nice to see our area recognized for some great teams locally!
Can’t test positive if you don’t get tested!

Marco Born is a clown.

Time to scrap all the coaches and the AD. Every program consistently underperforms every year. With the exception of women’s soccer. Since Marco Born has taken over baseball has went 37-72. Basketball is 40-38. Football is 9-12. Volleyball is 16-42. Softball is 60-74. Women’s basketball is 36-34.
When you have a guy from Memphis running the show what do you expect. Hired a guy from San Diego as the football HC.
SETX is home to some of the best talent in Texas. How can the home town school continue to fail to get these guys to commit? My guess is the AD and HCs don’t see the value and talent in this area.
Baseball is atrocious. No reason it should be like that. 37-72 over 3 years!!!
All Marco Born cares about is raising money and doesn’t care about wins and losses. He needs to go. We need a local guy running the show who will go after the best talent and can compete with bigger schools. I know Lamar isn’t going to compete with A&M, UT, or Tech. But there’s no reason we shouldn’t be competing with La Tech, ULM, UTSA, Rice, etc.
Obviously the people in charge don’t have a clue how to get wins and build programs. They are just happy to be there.
They simply don’t care.- lil brother, snakehead26, bulldog81 and 1 other

7 pages on Lumberton basketball. I’m buying a lotto ticket.
These Silsbee folks will turn anything into a Silsbee thread if you let them.

I’m just a guy who has donated my time to helping kids in summer ball for many years. We send about 8-10 kids to college (almost all D1) every year. And as a result, I’ve gotten to know and talk to college coaches often when they call to ask about a particular kid (like this afternoon). But THEY offer kids, not me. You seem confused about the process but I’m always happy to help 😃
Dang you must be a basketball guru. Why aren’t you coaching at a power 5?

Then you don't know HJ basketball history very well.
That dude is a clown for making a statement like that.

Is this the closest game HJ has had this year?

HJ has outscored their opponents 195-17 in the last two games. Unreal.

Coastal beat BYU and then UL(who they ducked in the rematch). What do you think any of these 3 teams records would be if they played an all SEC schedule?
How many teams in the country would be undefeated playing Ohio State’s schedule?
It’s hard to keep Ohio State out because they had some quality wins and didn’t lose. Plus they are in a different conference which also helps. It would have been awesome to see A&M in but let’s bet honest, it doesn’t matter who made it because whoever it was is going to get thumped by Bama anyways. But I can see the case on both sides. I personally think it should be a 6-8 team playoff. That’d fix a lot of things. With 4 you will have this argument every year.

Are you being sarcastic? Talented in an athletic sense ? Or, they have the talent, but not the coaching? Or, they have the talent, but don't know how to win against a less talented, but higher basketball IQ team?
I think he’s being sarcastic. I mess with the Silsbee folks that Davis is a better coach than Sig and does more with less. All fun and games.

So is it safe to say that Huffman coach did more with less?
I don’t know much about Huffman but max preps says their undefeated. So they might have some talent over there.

Not sure if it had anything to do with it or not but he was coming off a suspension.

No players were missing. Two players (Porter and White) that started at the beginning of the season played very few minutes tonight. Porter started all of last year so not sure why he didn't get much playing time tonight.
Huffman has a good squad that plays well together but don't believe they're 20 points better than HJ. We will see when they play again in Sour Lake.
Porter is one of the best athletes on that team. He needs to be on the floor. I haven’t made many games this year but it sounds like HJ is having troubles scoring.

BU 100% should be a 6A school. There’s no argument there.

HJ vs Huffman Seeding Game

I was watching online. Yes there was a little skirmish at the end but it was broken up pretty quick. It looked like Huffmans fans stormed the court and then got involved in the fight.
