This is what happened. There were 2 outs and the batter had 2 strikes on him. BC pitcher threw a fastball right down the middle and it was called a ball. Next pitch the CS batter gets the game winning hit driving in 2 runs. A couple BC players get in the umpires face (the one who missed the third strike call) after the winning run scored. BC coach ran out and got between his players and the umpire and started arguing with the umpire. I saw a BC player put his hands on the umpire and the coach had to pull a couple players away. The umpire behind the plate was not only bad the whole second game but the whole first game as well. A couple parents ran out onto the field also when all this was going down trying to get the players under control. A SELECT FEW of BC parents were out of line the whole game arguing almost every call. Yeah the umpire for sure blew the call and BC should be advancing but that's baseball. Can't argue balls and strikes. But I also heard that that umpire is from CS chapter.

Let's not talk about talent. If y'all remember, people use to say that HJ had no talent and it didn't matter who was the coach there. Now it's an expectation for HJ to make playoffs. It's not about the talent. It's about getting the kids to buy into a system.

BC v. HJ would be exciting to say the least. But I doubt either coach would want to play. Just not a good look.

Honestly, can you blame Haynes for trying to get HJ off the schedule? He's trying to keep a job as well. I don't think it's right to come on here and say that he's a "poor leader" when he's just trying to do what's best for him and his team. He's a new coach; give him a break. The only benefit of this game is that HJ will get their 2nd and 3rd team guys some reps in a live game. It would be awesome to see HJ and BC play. Don't think HJ would be in favor of that though.

This is nonsense. Why is Hardin even on HJs schedule in the first place? If anything Sloan is scared. Trying to get a freebie. Nothing against Hardin, but HJ is just on another level. Why not get competition to prepare you for district or playoffs?

I more prefer the term "travel ball" The only thing bad that can come from travel ball is a possible injury, but that could happen with anything. I recommend guys play summer ball to stay in shape and not lose their swing. Not so much get noticed. If you're good enough they will find you. Doesn't matter where you play.

People who say high school ball doesn't matter are the ones who aren't on a good high school team. They would think different if their team was going deep in the playoffs or even state. Yeah summer ball can give a player a great opportunity to get noticed by colleges, but so can your high school coach calling colleges and getting them out to the games.

WOS all the way. It's unbelievable how good they are. They haven't had a close game all year. 409 vs. Everybody!

I don't think there should be a bonus for making playoffs because some districts only have 4-5 teams. I do think that there should be a bonus for winning state.

I agree. They were up 21-7 at half. It would've been cool to see them play WOS in the Quarters that year

Dubois has never been past the 3rd round. I think that will change next Friday. BC wins by 7. Going to be a very good game.

At the beginning of the year I had HJ getting 4th in district. If I'm not mistaken, the 4th place team gets a playoff spot.
