I would like to say thank you to all the ex area college and pro ball players that have come back to coach these select teams here. Brian Bost, Allen Harrington, Will Delage, Cody Myers, Taylor McGuiness, Eric Harrington, Morgan Walker, Jason Tyner, Jeff Moye, and the rest who I am not familiar with or forgot. Thank you for coming back and teaching these kids what you have learned through your experiences.

They were 11u Premier. They were a good team. Hit the ball well. Good solid ball club. They had to get through the Gladiators to get to the championship and we know how tough they are to beat.

I just think the way that the scholarships are now the normal power house schools are having a hard time getting kids that aren't right there in their back yard to commit. Kids are staying closer to home unless they get one of those rare full rides because it is cheaper on the parents. Which in turn is why now you see some of the smaller schools being able to compete with the use to be power houses.

Thanks TradinUp. Y'all are a good up and coming team with a lot of talent. Will make for some good match-ups like this past weekend. For a first year team and getting started a little later then some others, y'all are a strong team.

PNG vs Summer Creek Pre-Game
Coach85 replied to adminbaberuth's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
So Summer Creeks coach was scared and didn't want to take his chances with a 3 game series..........PNG takes this one 8-2. -
Congratulations Prospects Red. They played hard nosed baseball this weekend and deserve it. 10-0-1 in the last two tournaments. Awesome job guys!

Lakers are better off without Kobe.

16 teams. They had some great competition in there.

A big congradulations goes out to the Port Neches Atheletes Red team. They played in Cypress Fairbanks this past weekend and went undefeated and walked of the fields at 10:20 pm Champions. These boys fought hard and never gave up and deserved what they got........Get on a roll a keep it going.

They might have hired the new president from a big conference school for a reason maybe? I think that is exactly why they hired him. I think they are looking into it.

When your signals are 1-fastball 2-change and 3-slider who needs to steal them. You are blatenly given them to the other them. I have seen many select teams do this. Besides what team on the face of this earth has never stolen signals. If someone says they have never done it they or either lying or the Opie Cunningham's of baseball. It's part of the sport.

Just because he had no runs scored against him and he doesn't walk a lot doesn't mean his pitch count can not be high. Taken batters to full counts and depending on how many the batter fouls off helps to elevate a pitch count. If they want to have him around the rest of the season no matter if he has a no hitter going you still stick by the pitch count you set for the kid. It's not about the kid, it's about the team .

Central is a "magnet" school also.

It really doesn't matter who they throw out there.............Maybe they will suprise us this year. ;D ;D ;D

All districts playing rules or the same per UIL because when they go to the playoffs if each district had it's own set of playing rules the umpire's would have to be put in an insane asylum trying to keep up with what district has this rule and which one has that rule. Now as far as dead areas and obstructions each differ at each field but that is determined how the field is set up.

For the thid scenerio I blieve it is treated as a balk and the runner would advance to third.

I have Louisville, Arizona, Kansas and Miami.

Dwight needs to turn the tables on the arsehole Kobe and go on TV and tell him to suck it up and get his wimpy arse out on the court and play hurt.
-
Kobe is the most selfish, arrogant, arse in basketball. It's easy to score as many points as he has when you don't give the other players on the team a chance to shoot. He must take 60 or 70 shots a game if not more. I love it when things go wrong for the Lakers.

PN-G's Brevall has been reinstated as head coach
Coach85 replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Just to let some of these people that are trying to protect the kids that were involved know. I have talked to some kids that play Junior College and a couple that play D1 and a couple of college coaches I know and the coaches have said that because of this little scheme that these kids pulled that they will not even look at a kid from PNG for a while because they don't know who was involved and who wasn't. Because of this even the innocent will be penalized. It's already hard enough to get a scholarship in the first place. Now even less schools will be looking our way.......Great job kids. Now you have made your friends and teamates pay the price for your inmature act. -

PNGISD made the right decision. :) -
And where will this TALENT that is going to saturate Ozen and Central for baseball coming from. Have they been recruiting. Not saying they can't have some solid teams every now and then but I figured that with all the talent they have in Football and Basketball that Baseball takes a back seat to what athelete's play.
