Hmmmm... another Silsbee JV post by you. But right, you have no interest except for that kinfolk in the Silsbee JV secondary.;)

You are funny. I have no kinfolk on Silsbee team at all. Fact is I have a sincere dislike for Silsbee period. I call em like I see em. How bout you?

So, your basing Silsbee run defense on one game. Good.

No not one game. So far this season they have been unable to stop the run. They give up too many points. The least amount points given up was 12 against Lumberton but they only scored 24. I watched them play. Defense needs a lot of work.

Yeah, Coach T is way off on his assessment. Must be propaganda article for the Mustangs. Both teams love to run the ball, Mustangs pass a little more than the Tigers. Both defense are built to stop the run and both secondary are not where they would like to be. As always special teams will be huge and ball security will be crucial. Penalties will play a part and the timing of the penalties. If the Tigers can match the intensity the Mustangs bring I can see a good game here. The Tigers are young, not many players from last years state semi final run. A lot of first time players on varsity, a lot of first time starters playing on varsity for the Tigers.

Tigers defense can not stop the run. That was proven against Newton. Mustangs defense is much like Newton. I’ve seen them play. Tonight’s game will be one for the books. If the rain don’t hinder.

    How long ago was that?

Truth be told. When Jasper and Silsbee meet someone is fighting. It happened one year with Basketball. Silsbee player injured his hand, then the hit on the QB. It has nothing to do with fear or win lose status. They will meet in the playoffs hopefully.

Black, white, Hispanics all use the "N "word TOO loosely, its disrespectful and doesn't matter what context its used it. It irritates me to hear it coming from anybody anywhere.

Not making light of the situation. But there is a difference in 'er and 'a. Don’t expect many of you to understand that.

You can't post that on open forum.  Thank you for understanding. - Soulja

Katy has suspended it's quarterback for two games and stripped him of his captainship after he was caught on the Mike saying a word that white people shouldn't say.

This is the hidden content, please

Kid sounds remorseful, and no one should be judged by a single bad decision. I hope he learns and becomes a better person for it.

Katy will survive this. Just a reminder that hot mikes are everywhere so keep it clean in public.

Sounds like his dad is remorseful.

I don't know how good  wos or silsbee is because both teams  have not played as well as expected so far this year, that's why I think this one will be just as good as Carthage and pleasant grove last night. Both will thier a games finally, another thriller like last year I'm looking at 20 to17....

I have to agree somewhat. But I’ve seen both teams play and although WOS is not playing at their best offensively. Their defense is better than most. It will truly be a good game.

WOS has their problems as well. They haven't got it all together either and missing two games doesn't help.Looking for a close game and the team with the fewer mistakes will win.

I’m sure they are ready for this rematch. It’s been practice as usual. Stangs coaching style and mindset is a very much different from the Tigers.

  10. A co worker and I were discussing this on yesterday. HF just may win district. Their team is solid and Morris is outstanding to watch. Silsbee has the talent to pull off a district title But they are too predictable and they are too focused on a kids grade classification rather than their talent. Too many play makers riding the pine. It’s going to come down to WOS or HF.

The game last night kind of shows what I was talking about. Newton scores 51 against Gilmer last year and 0 against Gilmer this year. Losing Barlow, Foster, Brown, the big lineman, etc... absolutely hurt them. Brown, Foster, and especially Barlow can NOT just be replaced. Newton is still legit and will most likely still win state BUT they losing those seniors last year definitely hurt them.

No it didn’t hurt them. Yes loosing any good player year after year puts any team in a rebuilding stage. If you watched the game and understand play calling you would have noticed you can’t call the same plays and not make adjustments. Everyone so focused on the players they don’t see the coaching staff has changed too.  Those boys are still talented and can play just as good as those that left. Coaching and play calling also plays a BIG factor in any game. New OC. Did not make adjustments. He call the same plays. That was the difference in that game.
