Little homie said they put 30-0on lcm in the live quarter 2 weeks ago.......... but WOS is a master at the run D, if we start getting predictable on the run they will shut us down all night. I also think our D is just as good and will have them frustrated all night ..........16-6 Newton takes it

LCM hung in there with WOS until 4th quarter. Newton will win and it won’t be close.

Newton's pass game will win this game for them. If LCM could've passed they were in the game with WO. Newton's pass game will open up the run and it's done. Newton's win streak continues.

LCM first TD was on a pass. They hung with WOS until 4th quarter. WOS made none of their PAT. I think it’s another blow out for Newton. Newton’s defense is not your ordinary high school defense. And I don’t think WOS will stop Newton from scoring.

Silsbee got made fun of last year after two games and look what happened. While we kelp winning in the playoffs y'all where packing your cleats and playing basketball or trying to play basketball. Is this the start we wanted? Heck no, not in the least. It is what it is. Now, just like last year, we have to find a way. The heart of the team graduated last year, that was an exceptional group. It's y'alls time now, y'alls time to find a way, to find that heart.  Just one game at a time, one practice at a time. We'll get there. TigerNation!!!

Did you read the words you typed?  So while Silsbee was still winning. Newton was playing basketball or trying to play basketball. No dude. Newton was on that run to Jerry’s world.  For a repeat. Which they did. SMH.

Everyone always complains about coach ... blah blah blah .. then goes 5 rounds deep and he’s the best thing since sliced bread ... trust the process ... Yes I would love to to see wins but would rather another deep run ... If you can do better step up and quit being sideline coaches

Maybe they should stop being sideline coaches. Half of them never played a down of football. And the other half was just on a team. Silsbee dropping down to DII handed them that run in the playoffs. A coach has to know when to make adjustments. Too many talented players on the side line. So yea it’s coaching.

Something I've always wanted to know....How good is Nate Williams in comparison to Josh Foster and his he the younger  brother of Noah Williams

Well in my opinion. Nate will be better than Foster come his senior year. He’s just a Jr. he will be back next year and yes he is the younger brother of Noah Williams. Foster could throw and get out the pocket but QB was not his strong position. Nate is definitely a QB. The kid looked promising.

Only a few on here are legit about facts.. the rest are blowhards and the ones who believe the blowhards start taking it out on Newton fans. Most of these post aren't Newton fans.  Newton people know where they stand and know every game is going to be a challenge.  They respect every team they go against.  So I guess what I'm trying to say is keep bombarding and blow harding your untrue facts.

No the problem is. Majority of the post are from people who has never played a down of football. Their experience is from Madden and Fanatsy Football. I am a true newton fan, played the game and even coached for a little. I am not blind to other teams. But one thing about Newton fans we don’t spend our time in the past. Yes we know what lies ahead.

From what I hear W.T. said #9 could be the best back to ever come out of Newton.

I was told that too. Coach Barbay was asked who was the best RB he has coached and of course we thought he would say Byerly but surprisingly he said James Boy. James Boy turned down AM for the Army.

    What position does he play?

RB/SS. They didn’t let him run the bLl that much. Not saying Silsbee would have won but if they would have fed him the ball more the score would have been a lot closer. He had pretty good runs and on defense he was on nearly every tackle. Not to mention. He  knocked  one of Newton’s lineman out the game.

2016 Silsbee Pee Wee beat Newton. As a matter a fact that same kid From silsbee #2 was on that team. That’s the kid Silsbee need to coach up. I’m no Silsbee fan but that kid got pure talent.

Just found who that kid is. He related to James Boy and Thats Jerry McLemore class of 95 nephew. Wow. No wonder good. I’m definitely going to follow him. Well Silsbee. You just may have something with that kid. 😆

I saw last year's wave of talent Newton had almost  10 years prior in pee wee football.   Everyone knew about it.  I didnt know those 3 by name, but I'm sure they were little ones on those earlier teams....

Newton produces play makers. It’s not just something that started. I remover a Anthony Byerly, Fred Kenebrew, James Boy, DJ Dean, Kevin Shorter. And I can name plenty more. That were just as good. Is a Newton thang and most wont understand

Yes they have been losing* talent every year. They do not lose talent like Barlow, Brown, and Foster all in one year. They have guys that will replace them and be very good, but not close to what those 3 could do.

Although 2012 didn’t go to state. That was the best set of players I’ve yet to see and I’ve been out of school 30 years. They lost pure talent and year after year they adjust and someone else come along. That’s the system Newton has. They don’t sit around and wait to train and teach these kids the game. I saw that JV game last night. Silsbee has pure talent on that team and lousy coaching is hurting them. I heard some Newton V players talking about this one kid from Silsbee (#2) how good he is and sure nuff. He was playing some ball. Newton JV played an entirely different ball game than Silsbee. When the time come they will be the next man up. This is what sets Newton apart from other teams.

But y'all were spouting the same stupid crap when you started 0-3 in 2015.

It's like my brother-in-law that is carrying that "this is the Cowboy's year" every freaking year.  Even the year they started Quincy Carter.  "Man, have you seen them 'Boys?  This is our year!  Quincy Carter is something else!  We aren't even gonna notice that Aikman retired and Emmitt is in Arizona."

The sad fact of the matter is that I'm glad that you guys have football up there.  God Himself admits that he didn't give y'all anything else.

This is not even worth a reply. But just because you think you know what you are talking about. Newton didn’t go 0-3 at the beginning of that season in 2015. They beat Tatum the first game and yes they lost four in a row. One being to a not so good BC. But they also went on to the third round of the playoffs that year. And that’s bouncing back from losing in the 2014 State championship.

  13. Everyone talks about Newton lost this and that. Newton have been here before. For decades Newton has been a powerhouse team with good players. No not all went to D1 schools but that’s another subject. Could say something that will tarnish a man’s legacy. But won’t. Nevertheless they have had good players. They have lost a coach before. And year after year they do what they do, Play ball. So please get over the fact what they have lost because I guarantee they have. Whether you want to believe it or not. Newton has some Great players that are ready to step up and be the next Barlow, Foster, and Brown. And Drew will not be WT but he is ready to continue the Newton Tradition that his dad passed on to him. Word of advice stop focusing on what Newton don’t have and if you want to beat them focus on what they do have.

This is the crap that makes me hate Newton Fan.  That "mediocre" Silsbee team was a state semi-finalist last year and lost practically nobody.

Newton, on the other hand, lost three D1 players, no telling how many other good kids, the HC and the OC....

The only thing that I know for sure about Newton is that they have the most delusional fan base in the land.

I'm personally hoping that Silsbee beats the brakes off of the Eagles so that their fans can go back into hiding until they get into the JV playoffs.

    Lol. Wishful thinking.

And there it is. True colors are shining thru.

Let me State what I know. Silsbee practices their Varsity against their Jv. They don’t run during practice. Therefore. They have no endurance and they measure their practice performance against a bunch of freshman. Who by they way they don’t focus on at all. Those boys are not getting the attention nor training they should if you expect them to be the future  face of the Tigers. So yes they are mediocre. I’m not speaking as a fan. When I watch a game I look at plays, coaching tendencies, players performance.  I don’t say a team is going to win because I’m a fan or from the area. Let’s keep it real. They could be better than they really are. And for their district they are. But this game will not be close. I could be wrong. We will see.
