  1. What I’m saying is there are other players that can be play makers.
  2. Totally agree. And it’s the start of district play. Some you haven’t seen much of is bout to show up.
  3. The statement was not sure if Calvin Tyler did or not. I was just stating the stats.
  4. Actually Tyler had 34 carries for 375 yards and 3 TD’s against Carthage. A game they loss but should have won. Tyler had over 20 carries a game and ended the night with 3-4 TDS. If you run a kid like that. TD’s should follow.
  5. From what saw he had a couple of passes but there were two defenders on him. He couldn’t get open as much. Brisbane was 5/10. So the ball was thrown some. True Dodd had over 200 yards rushing. But only one TD. It was a TEAM ball game.
  6. Total offense rushing yards 328 . Combination of Dodd and Martin both with 1 TD. Dodd over 200 yards. Miller was pretty much contained. Brisbane 5/10 55 yards passing 1 interception 1TD. PG turned the ball over 6 times. 2 Fmbles, 4 Interceptions-Harper, Bottley, Martin, Elam.
  7. I if a kid did quit. That tells you it’s more than just losing a game.
  8. Not entirely true. He didn’t have right players on the field to obtain that off side kick. #10 all night had been missing passes and definitely shouldn’t have been near that ball. No adjustments where made. Silsbee don’t know their players and what they are capable of. You’ll never win putting it all in one or two players.
  9. They have 18-19 sophomores but only about 8 start. So much focus is on the sophomores that the other skilled players are getting overlooked. Not just from outsiders but their coaches too. Too much talent walking the side line.
  10. I don’t think it’s a matter of their defense can’t stop the run. They were unable to stop the run against vidor because they were exhausted. Their offense was only on the field 11 minutes the entire game. They were out coached. Vidor came back the second half. When you have the lead offense has to control the clock. Those boys had NO time to rest and get back in it. It seems like they couldn’t do much on the run. But Dodd is not their only RB. They never tried to play anyone else. They team is young but they are good. You all will see as the season progresses.
  11. Silsbee’s defense was on the field for 36 min of the whole game. So go figure. That’s offense’s problem. They need to control the clock.
  12. And Silsbee has thrown the ball down Vidors.
  13. The are bigger than most in D2. They came in at 824. Way more than the other teams in their district. They barley made the cutoff for the D2.
  14. Martin also had an interception and TD was called back due penalty.
  15. They have 13-14 Sophomores on varsity and they all Don’t start. There are juniors and seniors on the team. Only one starter I know of that’s out.
  16. I was told Brisbane will start but Botttley will see snaps
  17. 12-16 sophomores??? Not true.
  18. Thank God it wasn’t his leg but a FX ankle.
  19. There are several sophomores to be juniors that will add to the strength of the team as well.
  20. There are other RB just as good. They just yet to get the opportunity to run.
  21. Silsbee could win this game. I think there is a lot of talent. Players are not put in the position that’s the best fit. Over the years I’ve seen Randy Smith pull plays out of his hat to pull off the win. Defense is improving since the PG game. They have only given up 14 points in two games. There has to be some changes on offense. If they find their niche they could very well win win this game.
  22. They weren’t only dropped passes. Bad throws, under and over throwing the receiver. But didn’t expect the Sophomore to be Much better at this point. He is young and will improve with each game. The team is young.
