  1. where were the women picked to finish in conference?
  2. well, austin is an impressive 3-21. i'm curious to see what they've been losing their other games by. we've seen some results nearing 100 in this area too, but it seems like the coaches here are decent enough to call off the dogs. the game was 72-18 at halftime, but they kept pouring it on, outscoring their opponent 61-15 in the second half. it seems to me that when a team in southeast texas is up like that at halftime, they find a way to make it a little closer in the second half to make things reasonable.
  3. good deal... i've been curious about that. everything over there is hush hush this year.
  4. it was a joke, bud . kind of like saying that chuck norris idolizes sutherland when everyone really knows he idolizes Coop.
  5. i have to agree with Coop on this... tiger is highly skilled at what he does, but i doubt he could hold his own on the football field, or the basketball court. when i think of the best athletes in the world, i think of these guys who make all-state in 4 sports in high school, go on to play a couple of sports in college, and then move on to play some form of professional sports. i know couch potatos that are good golfers. it takes a large amount of skill and talent, but athletic ability is at most somewhat important in being good at golf. it's more about coordination and instinct. off the topic of my post, but to respond to one of your posts, federer got his tail handed to him the other day. he might be losing his dominant grip a little.
  6. yeah, i figured... good to see you back.
  7. another good win for the cards... they're finally starting to play like the team that was picked to win their division in conference! way to go, cards!
  8. 73-47, final! Texas really took it to em tonight... it's good to see the horns finally get a convincing victory in Big 12 play. Another positive, AJ Abrams hit three 3 pointers. He's been struggling since the start of conference.
  9. 70-47, a minute left...
  10. i don't know if he's the BEST athlete in the world. he's dominate in a game where fat, 50 year old smokers can win a major. i wouldn't argue if you called him the most SKILLED athlete in the world, or even the most DOMINANT, however.
  11. the horns are slowly pulling away. 42-24, 15 left in the game.
  12. Texas went on an 8-0 run the last 1:54 of the half to pull away a little bit. even still, this is a really low scoring game.
  13. Texas leads 28-16 at halftime.
  14. i've been impressed with vidor all year, but still the fact that they almost pulled this one off surprised me a bit... they certainly have a legit chance at the 3rd playoff spot. good luck to both teams from here on out.
  15. i hate to see them lose, but nobody thought they'd win them all... oklahoma's starting to play pretty well.
  16. I'm glad to see them get back on the right track... now if they'll just fall back off for a bit on wednesday and lose my horns, i'll be happy...
  17. all this might be true, but i heard that sutherland calls boutte for advice about women.
  18. hey, a scooter sighting! i've been wondering what happened to you.
  19. Woods in unbelievable... he's up 8 strokes with a couple of holes to go in the 3rd round. it appears that having a couple of weeks to gear up for him hasn't helped Tiger's opponents.
  20. I'm with ya'll on some points... i'm glad that the coach has done what he needed to do. Mr. Brown now can do one of two things... he can continue making the types of decisions that has gotten him in trouble so far, or he can learn from his mistakes and move on. The coach has given him a tremendous lesson. J'covan isn't getting a slap on the wrist this time. Hopefully a punch to the gut will help him realize that every action has a consequence. If he can understand that (and if he can get his grades up), i don't see any reason why he won't go on to the next level. His type of talent doesn't come along too often. If he can learn that no single man is greater than the team, he'll be a valuable asset for whatever basketball program he ends up at.
  21. The L-train rides again! ;D
