So he should be good to go Sunday? -
I think it will be a competitive game. Texas' D should keep it interesting, but I don't think the qb situation sets up very well for a UT win
-
I hope TCU blows them out and OSU bombs in the playoffs.

pretty insane to me that it was only one vote that kept him out. I'm all for people getting second chances, but I would assume his probably needs to be at a lower level than Superintendent. -
And I agree with most all of THIS, but this is the national championship we're talking about here. not only would their schools travel better, more casual fans would go watch. that's the problem with all of the bowls but one in years past... they didn't mean anything. at least now we have 3 games that count instead of 1.

Seattle did the boys a favor this weekend. Now the boys have to help themselves... -
Hogs are pretty good. I'd like our chances better against the ags.

They get the respect at the beginning of every year, and every year they lose to someone they shouldn't. Hard to blame the naysayers.

It's a joke. Ohio St has a valid claim to be in the playoffs. I think there should be a system in place where they get in. But not in the current system, at the expense of two teams with better resumes, better losses, and stronger schedules. Out of the 3 in the running for the final spot, OSU was a clear 3rd. That being said, i personally believe anyone that can play a power-5 schedule with only one loss deserves a shot at the playoffs. this season, 3 of 4 playoff teams are power-5 teams with one loss. No team that did make the playoffs was head and shoulders above the 5th and 6th place teams (I'm not saying Bama and Oregon aren't better, but I am saying their seasons as a whole weren't all that much better). An 8-team playoff would ensure that essentially every year any team who can make it through the power 5 conferences with 1 loss would make the playoffs, and also leave leeway for a team like Marshall to get a chance (had they remained undefeated). 8 is the way to go. The only positive about all this is that it only took one season to have a situation where there is a legitimate gripe about the new system that will exert pressure and garner support to expand to 8.
-
Hopefully FSU loses and partially solves the problem for us.
-
Which is why you need an 8-team playoff. Baylor, TCU, and OSU are as deserving as any team in the country to be in the playoff, and two of them are gonna get left out.
-
I was getting on here to say this. OSU is up 45-0 over #13 Wisconsin, which is an absolute shock. We've gone from possibly getting two in to possibly getting none in in the span of 8 hours or so.

Knew that was fake when I saw it.

Big win for the boys! -
hate it for you if it happens. don't give the police a reason to use force against you and it won't. when you have a guy that size refusing to comply, there's no telling what might happen when several officers are needed to subdue him. your attitude that resisting arrest is some sort of right or something that folks should have without threat of repercussion is one of the problems in the debates about both this guy and Michael Brown. the thought that common criminals should be able to ignore police commands in this case, or attack an officer in the other case, and not face any repercussions or have any accountability for the result is prevalent, which is sad.
-
just watched the video. A) he DID resist arrest. B ) the chokehold lasted for less than 10 seconds. No doubt the cops used a lot of force on him, but he was a HUGE guy, and had he simply put his hands behind his back it would not have happened the way it did. Perhaps his 30 previous arrests (including for resisting arrest) led them to quickly take him down instead of being patient with him.
-
He was choked out because he was resisting arrest. The original crime is irrelevant when you have a 300 lb man fighting with police. The same holds true with Michael Brown. You can't make the argument that he got shot for "robbing a convenience store."

I had a shot at a spike tonight, but he was forked on one side and the other side appeared broken off. While texting the game warden at the park to ask if I could take the deer, I looked up and there were two does at 15 yards staring at me. Needless to say I did not get a shot at ANY of the deer. But it was encouraging that I saw some at least. -

He'll be breeding local does either way. Not a bad thing if nobody gets a shot on him. -
