just watched the video. A) he DID resist arrest. B ) the chokehold lasted for less than 10 seconds. No doubt the cops used a lot of force on him, but he was a HUGE guy, and had he simply put his hands behind his back it would not have happened the way it did. Perhaps his 30 previous arrests (including for resisting arrest) led them to quickly take him down instead of being patient with him.

He was choked out because he was resisting arrest. The original crime is irrelevant when you have a 300 lb man fighting with police. The same holds true with Michael Brown. You can't make the argument that he got shot for "robbing a convenience store."

Shot a really nice doe this morning, weighed 82 lbs gutted, 2nd biggest deer killed out of 10 or 12 so far.

I had a shot at a spike tonight, but he was forked on one side and the other side appeared broken off. While texting the game warden at the park to ask if I could take the deer, I looked up and there were two does at 15 yards staring at me. Needless to say I did not get a shot at ANY of the deer. But it was encouraging that I saw some at least.

He'll be breeding local does either way. Not a bad thing if nobody gets a shot on him.

He should be fair game

My dad and I are headed to Fairfield State Park tomorrow for a doe/spike/pig draw hunt. Hoping to come back with a couple of deer for the freezer. We're also going Friday through Sunday for a draw hunt at Balcones Wildlife Reserve. That's a doe/spike/turkey/pig hunt, and if I shoot A doe or pig then I can take a buck. So hopefully I'll get something

I always hate to see the refs call a pass uncatchable when the main reason it was uncatchable was because the receiver's route was impeded by a DB who's got him jammed up 10 yards down field.

It'll be interesting if at some point you end up with two teams in the top 4 from the same conference ranked 1 and 4 or 2 and 3 facing off in the playoffs, with a conference guaranteed a spot in the finals. Surely it's bound to happen eventually. You can't switch seeds around to avoid it because then you punish someone by giving them a tougher matchup.

i know that stations along interstates always charge more. the logic being that many people stop to pee and decide to go ahead and top off while it's convenient, or are in a hurry and don't want to drive way off the interstate to find cheaper gas.  small towns with only one or two stations are generally more expensive as well, as people aren't going to drive 20 miles to fill up in a bigger town where prices are lower due to competition just to save 3 dollars when they fill up.

Arizona should, IMO.  they beat their ranked opponent.  of course, this is all hypothetical.  Bama is only 6 points down, with a LOT of time left.

Bama needs to drop farther than 6th.  that's about where they ended up after the 1st loss.  2 loss bama is a different animal.  you can't just keep dropping them 4 or 5 spots when they lose and keep them in contention just because they're bama.

Seriously, if Bama loses tonight, how do they put an SEC team in the final four? Champion or not?

i think in recent years there have been a couple of mid-major type teams that were good enough to make an argument. never felt that way about Marshall this season.

hopefully that will lead to him averaging more than 5 shots a game...
