I can't really predict who the winner will be, I saw Dayton play Friday night not the Bulldogs/Cougars. I had posted on another thread a few wks. back I thought that Channelview would beat us. They are a better team with an awesome qb no doubt he is a beast.

Now saying that I thought we looked okay against the Falcons, then everything that can go wrong did for Dayton. I will say this I've seen several teams over the years look great one week and terrible the next and vice/versa.

Here's my prediction if we win great if not that's fine too. Nederland is a great ball club with excellent coaching/tradition and we will be better after this game either way, as long as we can stay away from the injury bug.

Looking forward to this game and may the best team win.

I went watched some of the scrimmage there really isn't much to say. We left before halftime. The game was delayed almost an hour because of lightning. I kinda felt bad for Milby seems like they would have more support in the stands than what they had. Good luck to Milby the rest of your season, hope y'all can improve.

Parking is terrible no doubt. There is a little space in the field behind the home side you can park in probably easier with a truck than a small car though. I'm hoping after they complete the new school people will be able to park there as well.

I want our Broncos to win but, I remember last year and Channelview is definitely more seasoned than we are going to be to start off the season. I'm not predicting a score but I think Channelview will be a little to much for us that early. I'm hoping my Broncos prove me wrong.

I've said this on several occasions Dayton's players aren't the problem it starts at the top with the leadership(AKA Coaching Staff)

Our program has constantly declined since Stewart stepped down and everyone whether they say it out loud or keep it to themselves know it.

 

This year we had the opportunity to  make it to week 3 with less than 2mins. left in game and the other team with no timeouts left to seal the deal but instead of running for the 1st down on 3rd and long on the wrong end of the field we throw a pic with a short field to score on. Should've run the ball instead and even if you don't get 1st down yardage you still get to punt ball down the field and give our defense good field position to stop Angleton and win ball game.

 

Last year same issue have opportunity to try a field goal to get ahead with not much time left in game but no we ran it instead, when your in the play-offs you go for the win and have faith in those young men playing their hearts out for you on the field.

 

Coaching a team means fixing the problems that are present and making the right adjustments when needed but blaming those players on the sidelines at the ball games which I have seen quite a bit of  the last several years is wrong those kids are just doing what their being coached to do on the field. Maybe if we correct the problems starting at the coaching level the kids that play key positions wouldn't quit and the players that stay would work harder if they are built up instead of constantly being put the blame upon.

21-5A got battled tested in week 1.

Every team played well and  came out on top.

Teams know where their weakness's are and the coaching staff will get it fixed and study the rival teams strengths and weakness as well I think 21-5A comes out looking good round 2.

That's the same thing I said at halftime of our game have to work on that one side of our defense #32 burned us all night but they have a week to work on that. I'm still very proud of all our players one heck a job Saturday night. I would have sat through a hurricane to watch those Broncos play their game, now go get Angleton this coming Friday night it's payback time for the Broncos.

I went and watched all the play-off games this weekend between 21-5A&22-5A

This was the best game out of the 4 by far.

I know that Nederland won in your district but PNG played the best game out 22-5A really surprised you weren't the DS Champs.

You have nothing to hold your heads down about great ball club. It's always a fun to watch and very physical game between the Purple and White teams.
