I’m not positive on the exact number on starters returning for Bellville.. should be something like 7 on offense and 6 on defense… Good freshman and JV teams last year will help fill in the holes and reload for what should be another run a state.

Silsbee lost a lot for sure… I think with the athletes they have they won’t be out of the district championship conversation but yes HF will be the favorites IMO. We are about to find out what the region and districts will look like which will play a huge roll in what their playoff chances look like and I’ll comment further

Silsbee has a good young group. I think they could fight for a playoff spot this year… but regardless their better years are probably coming soon

Is there any way you can track down the Kountze performance from the 2005-2006 school year? Hurricane Rita was that year so I remember we performed marching contest somewhere else besides LCM High School. We also made it to Area and marched at Lufkin High School after that. It was my senior year but can’t seem to find the video of either performance.

Depends how well Kountze shot the ball vs Silsbee… if Kountze was hitting their 3s consistently they could keep it within 20-25 points IMO.. That’s no disrespect to Kountze but they just would have 0 answers for Harris and Miller and would get dominated on the boards.

Looking forward to the season… Bellville should be decent. Finished 4th in district last year but still went 3 rounds deep and almost beat a top 10 Davenport team..

Even they don’t really run the Wing T anymore I don’t think… People get bent outta shape about what system to run but if you have the jimmys and Joe’s what offense you run doesn’t necessarily matter for the most part IMO.
