Yes Tarkington ON PAPER should be the second best team at this tournament…It’s early in the season and Tarkington may beat Huffman… stranger things have happened… but with Huffman coming off a state semi final appearance and what they had returning… Huffman should relatively cruise through this tournament. I meant no disrespect to any other team there

He will see some time but Bellville’s Richard Reese will be getting majority of the carries IMO. 942 yards and 14 TD as a freshman last season while splitting carries with two other backs. Pre season 1st team all Big 12 and Maxwell award watch list.

To say they wouldn’t make the playoffs in 5A isn’t necessarily true… maybe not certain districts but I guarantee you there are some weaker 5A districts that they would make it

Thank you. The sophomore class is pretty strong. They should make deep playoff runs this year and the next two. Hopefully they can finally capture a state championship in the next 3 seasons

It’s a decent amount of travel for all those schools except maybe Huffman. They probably just wanna play in closer tournaments.

From what I hear Liberty won’t be amazing this year… but are really young. They may slip into a 3rd or 4th place finish in district
