  1. My predictions for this district are as follows. I will give the teams and thier final district records, I will leave it up to the reader to figure out which games they will win and which they won't. Jasper 11-3 Silsbee 11-3 H-J 10-4 BC 12-2 Just my prediction, some will agree and some not......only in 2 weeks will we know if I was "on the money". I have to say, that these four teams should all be in the playoffs, its sad they only allow 3.
  2. Again, I think Jasper has the edge playing at home with a second look at Schooling. It will be a low scoring close game. It will be a thriller for the fans for sure and I will find a way to pick up the radio broadcast. Again, good luck to both teams and their fans........as it will be a game to watch!!
  3. Its being played at Jasper.......they suffered the most recent loss and they will see Schooling for the second time..........so I see Jasper getting more hits and coming away with the W. Schooling is an excellant pitcher but it seems teams with a second look at him always hit better then. It has to be THE game of the week!! Good Luck to both!
  4. I admit other then W-L records, I don't know how the playoffs would stack up.... what would be the tiebreaker other then records?? if HJ wins 2 of 3, they would have a 10-4 district record. (O-field, BC, WO-S) if Silsbee takes 2 of 3, they would have a 11-3 district record. (Jasper, O-field, HF) if Jasper takes 2 of 3, they would have a 11-3 district record. (Silsbee K-ville, BC) if BC takes 2 of 3, they would have a 11-3 district record. (WO-S, HJ, Jasper) So in that scenerio, HJ could win 2 of 3 and NOT make the top 3. So it appears HJ would need to win at least 2 out of 3 and hope one of the top 3, goes 1 for 3, which would put 2 teams tied for 1st and 2 teams tied for 2nd. It is a possible scenerio, but who can predict the future?? Looks like we all might have to wait and take the games one at a time!!
  5. Lets see if I can answer your question..... Jasper has lost to HJ and Silsbee Silsbee has lost to BC and HJ BC has lost to Silsbee and Jasper HJ has lost to Silsbee, Jasper and BC
  6. Wow....what a district race this is turning into!!! Jasper 9-2 with Silsbee, @ Kirbyville and @ BC to play. Silsbee 9-2 with @ Jasper, @ Orangefield and @ HF to play. BC 9-2 with WO-S, HJ and Jasper to play. HJ 8-3 with @ Orangefield, @ BC and @ WO-S to play. Good Luck to all.
  7. With just 3 games left in district (after this one), yep all games are huge for the top 4 teams!!
  8. Has Raegan pitched the complete game?? Who has pitched for HJ??
  9. Hmm, the Horns will be smarting from the loss with Orangefield.....the Cards are getting back in the groove.....I think they will still remember the last district loss and prevail...........9-2.
  10. Well, that just goes to show you how much I can predict what a coach will do!! Went with Hicks instead, but it worked out well for them. Good Job, Cards.
  11. Whoops! Must be the curse of being ranked in the top 10? Congrats to HJ. Silsbee will be okay, they must just take them one game at a time.
  12. I am guessing it is the "standard" rotation that the coach has employed all season long. He probably needs the work as well......it has been quite a few days since he last pitched.
  13. Congrats to the Cards.......and to Meeks for a complete game on the mound.
  14. That was not a sight I wanted to see when I drove by around 1030 this morning.....the tarp blown over the visitors dugout!!! Must have "kited" on a crew that was not up to holding it down!! Of course the rain started about 10:45 this morning. So obviously, I am not on the team....my shoes are dry!!
  15. PC.....maybe....humbled......nope. I love baseball and have respect for all the teams. I don't have the need to down one to try to boost another. It is what it is and that is still unknown for now.
  16. Let them talk.....makes for a good read. Just remember Silsbee is 1 & 1 in games played against BC. Jasper is up 1 with one to go against BC. Silsbee still has a game left with Jasper. They are all good teams, and in baseball playoffs, you play 3 game series if you are more balanced and play 1 game series if you have a "ace". So all the "baiting" by the Silsbee posters in this thread should be taken with a grain of salt. The district race is far from over, and the playoffs are just down the road. BC is finding out where they are weak now......and maybe get it straight for "down the road". The district will be well represented by the teams making the playoffs, and in the playoffs.......anything can happen. Good Luck to All!!
  17. Don't know how the field looks........but just before the rain, the infield tarp was blown up over the visitors dugout...
  18. For those that can, the game is web broadcast on KJAS radio-Jasper. [Hidden Content]
  19. Silsbee12.......okay I see where I took some of your post out of context...I plead temporary insanity due to lack of sleep. LOL. Everyone talks smack......even your fans...some is done with class.......some without.
  20. Silsbee12........before you go and declare the district champs........you might want to wait until the season is played out. Silsbee played a good game.........got some good hits. But so did BC. The biggest difference is BC did not start thier ace pitcher and Silsbee did. Remember the first game with both aces starting in your backyard did not come out your way. I think Schooling pitched against Jasper in the first game, will he be on the mound in the second game and if so will Jasper batters be more successful? All of the teams in this district has some players with great skills. The teams that perform best AS a team usually wins the ballgame.
  21. Hmm, I think it will be a very good game......but see BC coming out on top as Stringer shuts down the bats of Jasper.
  22. Now THAT would be a topic of a whole new thread. :
