Of course I am going with BC to win this one!! I would not think it is in stone who the BC pitcher will be. Most likely Meeks with Stringer for relief.......but could be reversed. Thats why I like baseball, they have to show up and play to get decide who wins. Ought to be a great game......get your seats early!! Playoff atmosphere!! I do think it will be a close game......not as close as the first, so I will say 5-3 BC.

Don't know about other games........but I was at the BC-HJ game........now mind you I don't hear everything, but I did not hear anything bad from the HJ side other then a moan when a strike was called a ball........but that occured on both sides! I spent time on both sides of home plate as well. So JMHO, I don't see anything different about the HJ fans then any other fans. Wish the Hawks could be in the playoffs along with BC, Silsbee and Jasper, but I don't make the rules.

There were no outs. Dishon hit a first pitch curve ball, that just stayed up a little too long.

Well, when I made this prediction, there were 3 games left in the regular season. Now there is one game left.....so it could still work out.......Again, my accolades to all the teams in this district. There is some quality here!! HJ, still wish we could have 4 teams advance to the playoff. Morgan.......are you going to make the trip??

Actually, I think the Cards had more errors.....but a GS can cover some errors.

Great game Cards. HJ played a heck of a game, Treece(sp) pitched a heck of a game....maybe one curve ball from a win. That of course would be the first pitch curve ball to Dishon that went for the grandslam. The Cards have got to cut down on the errors to make it deep in the playoffs.

Who pitched the first game for HJ against BC?? I will still go with the Cards.......better hitters I would think.

Then they are not equal in skills are they??? Most likely, like another poster stated....there aren't two kids EVENLY skilled in the same position...but that was the premise stated in the initial post. I would stick with the senior....if he had "senioritis" he could be worse if they started off with EVEN skills.....if he is playing down due to the syndrome, I would play the underclassman. But what does it matter.........I ain't the coach!!!

If they are EVEN in skills........and you say to play the underclassman, what are you telling the kids in the program?? That when they become seniors and there is a younger kid with equal skills you will cast the senior aside??? Plus, the senior should be more mature so even if the skills are even, he should have an edge in the mental part of the game.

Probably would also depend on how the team is doing as well.......are they playoff bound, or just finishing out the season. Is it a breakout year, or a rebuilding year. Lots of things can affect the decision which is ultimately the coach's.

I will go with a score of.......BC-9.........HJ-5.

Who choked in the first game?? (BC won 9-4? and came from behind?) It is a MUST game for HJ, if they lose, I fear they are out of the district race. If BC wants the district title, they must win out. This will be Tuesday's game to watch in the district.

Ahh, but what does not kill you will only make you stronger!! No doubt, BC has the tougher schedule on paper for the next week. Jasper has BC and Kirbyville. The Cards should know that HJ's back is against the wall.....if HJ loses, their playoff hopes take a big dip in the percentage catagory. That and the fact they have been playing well as of lately make them a dangerous team. BC can NOT afford to look past them at Jasper. Just have to take them ONE game at a time. Play each game like its thier last and they will do well. I heard that both Stringer and Meeks pitched the WO-S game, so that will leave a lot of pitching options open...maybe be using them both in the next two games??

HJ......plays BC and WO-S.. Of course since they are 9-3 now, I predicted they would end up 10-4. No hard feelings meant for HJ, but my prediction is based on BC beating them.

shs85.......no problems........I was hoping some fans who saw the game would comment when they got home. I was just trying to update with what info I knew(or thought I knew). As for as the guys in BLUE, I could not see them....as I was not there, just listening in on the Jasper web radio!! I think at one point Schooling struck out 8 in a row and the broadcasters made a comment that the Jasper batters thought the pitch should have been called differently....but then again they were calling the score as 5-3 before Silsbee's Skinner scored the last run!! Did it seem like the strike zone changed during the game?? Those guys do a heck of a job. Sometimes it seems like they try to speed the game up...but we all don't have the same prospective!! Good Luck to the Tigers....I have a feeling they will win out this regular season.
