I know Forney is growing like crazy. My son & stepdaughter live there. It’s almost solid town on 20 from 45 to Terrell. Couple years ago it was a lot of pasture.

I don’t think part of scenario is correct. If BH wins & PAM loses, there’s no 3-way tie. It would revert to head to head between BH & LP with LP holding the tiebreak due to its win over BH.

Edit to this for the breaking news: The tiebreak max points is 14 instead of 18. So, LP would be 3rd seed and travel to Forney (I’m assuming) if BH & PAM both win. The rest stays the same.

Except for the travel, LP may be a better matchup with Forney than PAM anyway. And, LP hasn’t had a ‘Home’ game all year anyway.

If it happens, may actually be a better matchup for the district from the 2/3 seed perspective & run D’s. After watching a little of Forney, LP vs. Forney tilt would be like 2 Shermans playing Rock Em Sock Em Robots. LOL

Same for LP. At least at someone’s stadium close to home anyway.

Haven’t watched any of them enough to know. But, if they’re in the PO’s, they aren’t a slouch.

To me personally, out of the presumed PO teams—BH, LP, PAM, & Porter—BH seems to be gaining momentum at the right time. It may have just been the PAM rivalry game. This week will tell. But, they looked on point in all aspects. LP looked like they were just playing solid against Crosby—not spectacular by any means. PK was having definite issues. The game showed they could maintain focus. While the run game is probably one of the best around, the O is still primarily one dimensional, and can be slowed with a stacked box. PAM is going into the PO’s a little banged up. Always a concern. Porter is explosive. But, their D is highly suspect. I think all four are good teams. BH, LP, & PAM could play each other multiple times, and probably still split the wins as they are all fairly close. But, they each have their particular weaknesses. Even BH—as hot as they seemed to be against PAM—showed weakness against a solid pass rush and penetration like LP. Another game left to see. I’m seriously hoping for no more injuries that might hurt any of their PO chances. Also hope the bye week doesn’t hurt LP. Double edged sword to me from a continuity standpoint. Would love to see 8-5A go at least 3-1 first round.

Irony: BH having to root for a PAM win & 3 way tie for district championship to get the 1 seed. 😂

Incidentally, I must admit even I am a little surprised at LP this year. Remember, they haven’t played a single true home game all year, and only the 2nd year of the new staff. (Even though Berneathy was here previous, and familiar with LP & culture.) Talk about powering through adversity.

Actually, if PAM loses, LP is the 1 seed due to no three way tie & the win over BH. 😁 If PAM & BH both lose, LP 1 Seed & outright DC. If BH wins & PAM loses, BH & LP Co-DC’s, and LP 1 seed. If BH wins & PAM wins, BH, LP, & PAM are Co-DC’s and BH is 1 seed, LP 2 seed, PAM 3 seed. LP’s actually in the catbird seat with no less than Co-DC & 2 seed and finished with district play. Not sure if a bye week before PO’s is good or not though.

I remember experts picking LP 6th, and I said no way. Stepp was the outlier. But—even he only said 4th. LP has returned very quickly under Berneathy & staff to former self. With the talent coming up & returners, future looks very bright again. Just have to see about alignment.

Now that I’m thinking about it, if BH wins & PAM loses, LP is also 1 seed due to head-to-head & no 3-way scenario. BH needs to root for PAM & themselves. LP can be 1 seed if both PAM & BH lose, or if just PAM loses.

Okay. Still a little confused. BH—with a win—would get a home game. LP will get a ‘home’ game regardless unless LP loses to BYE next week. Correct? (This is where I really should be rooting for Porter & KWP.) 😁

Huh? I thought if BH wins next game, they’d be 1 seed & get a home game against Tyler or Lancaster? LP can finish no worse than District Co-Champ & 2 seed with a home game.

Was worried about their focus. They seemed to be okay with that. But, PK needs some serious juju. LOL No injuries for either team that I saw.

Wish I could find out. LP seems to always hold stuff close to the vest & I’m not very connected anymore. Just a fan. Bunch of new homes & apartments/townhomes. I assumed a lot were younger families with younger kids. Maybe not. Of course La Porte is open enrollment also. That may be part of it.

Announcers on LPSportsnet just mentioned LP’s enrollment had the largest jump in a long time. No specific number given though.
