Where exactly are you getting your info from?  That is one of the most asinine comments I have ever seen on here, and I have seen you put some doozies.  Check your information before you throw out incoherent babble.  Hear any info from any of the coaches that are leaving as to why they are gone?  I bet if you ask them, they will tell you.  Don't go by what he said and she said.  This is what makes you look foolish and others from Lumberton bad. People associate the rest of the town with you sometimes and it is a shame.  There are some coaches leaving, some by choice and some non-renewed.  What would cause a mass exodus after a 7 win season in Lumberton?  Ask yourself that question.  Where does it start?  Top or bottom?  How many of Babin's former coaches did he bring with him from Warren?  Deweyville? Houston? Where are all the Babinites that are following him to the promised land?  How can so many jump ship and follow Jehling to the land of Horns?  How many have interviewed for jobs here and turned them down?  Believe it or not, there is not a line of coaches beating down the door to get into Lumberton.  For you to throw out that the coaches that are leaving were "lazy" and did not want to work based on something you "heard" is absurd.  Check your info next time.  You know so much and like to keep everyone informed, ask around these questions and see if you like the answers.

All the QB talk is really neck and neck either kid is deserving, I gotta go with JACK DALLAS. On defense though there is no doubt Innis Gaines is the BEST defensive player in SETX. Played free safety led the only 6A district in Tackles, TFL, INT's, and Def TDs. According to the article he had 130+ Tackles and 56 TFL as a Free Safety and ball hawked the passing game. He dominated every inch of the field, from -3 in the backfield to 50 yards downfield he stopped everything offenses tried to do. Props to the West Orange LB but the Gaines kid is unreal, cant wait to watch him next season on saturdays. Personally never saw West orange kid except the state championship, his team Defense stood out but he didnt individually. Gaines jumped out of the 3 games I went to and his stats are godly.

There was a defensive standout. Innis Gaines Safety at West Brook. Led a Stout defense in tackles had like 5-6 picks took 3 of them to the house (one against state champion North Shore) blocked two kicks and a punt block. Took a missed FG 100+ yds against Ozen and led the team in tackles. Had 23 Tackles 4 TFL 4 PBUs 1 INT 1 FF  against PA, dominated the game against Deer Park with like 18 Tackles also according to the teams website. And the 6 A Defensive MVP in a district with North Shore who won state by shutting out every one with Defense in the playoffs and had 2 kids committed to LSU on the squad. Those coaches who coached the LSU commits still voted to make Gaines the Defensive MVP. I'd say that stands out way more than Tony Brown was. Brown had games without even making tackles or breaking up passes playing 5A ball, and was Tony Brown even Defensive MVP in that district b/c I think it was the DL kid from Nederland that year. Not to mention Rose WR kid at PNG balled on Tony his Senior Year. The Gaines kid balled out and dominated every game played in a tough ass 6A district.

Ok, I know alot of you guys may say I'm crazy but a guy I played with at Crosby in 03, Philip Beck. Had 124 catches 2000+ yds and 22 TDs in 12 games at the 5A level and had 200+Yds Rec against the state champs Lamarque that year. No one can match that production, our QB Kellen Haynes also threw for 4,200 yds and 40 Tds ran for 800 and 12 TDs in 12 games that year also. Not the big time recruits that the other guys were or physical specimens but they put up massive numbers and we played friendswood, dickinson, Dayton, CE King, and Lamarque and nobody stopped those two guys. I think you have to throw Beck on the list though 180 Yds per game for a whole season, can't deny production. Also on the Tony Brown deal he had a big pick against PNG but Rose torched him THE WHOLE GAME I was there cause my cousin played for Ozen that year, did have the pick 6 but rose balled out on him.

Also Beasley at West Orange. In high school people weren't talking about Earl, They were talking about Beasley I watched them rout someone in the playoffs that year he was on another level than anyone else on the field, and super bowl champ all pro Earl Thomas was on the field also.

He's right I just looked on their website. 4 varsity assistants and to make it even more embarrassing only 1 Offensive Varsity Assistant. So the whole 5A Varsity Offensive Staff according to the website was Larry Haynes Head Coach and Nathan Byerly OC-OL. THAT'S IT!!!!! So you only give the guy 2 seasons and 1 offensive coach then you fire him, wow how can the administration claim they are doing whats best for the kids in that community and that program when you look at the facts. Thats just bad business, I would be furious if I was a parent and my kid was there, or I'd just move to PNG,GEE WHIZ. I don't think Vince Lombardi can talk a Sup into creating 6-8 positions that don't exist currently.

Hardin people don't know who their record holding HS Qb was? Some data indicates he was Hardin's starting QB from 1974-1976 and has most All the school passing records until Nolan/Taylor in the late 2000's. I found some things on-line saying he won more games as a starter than anyone in school history. Not sure what's true. Everybody knows Larry is a QB developing machine though.

When I played for him at Crosby we had the 2nd best defense in the district only behind Dayton, forced more turnovers than anyone else, and had the best offense in he Houston area. Of course Haynes only coached the offense, coach Dickey and coach Mckeyon were our CO-DCs so they coached the defense. Just like Barbary prolly only coaches one side of the ball just like every other coach on earth does except Tom Landry so what's your point. He doesn't coach a lick of defense cause he's an offensive coach, just like Bill Walsh didn't coach a lick of defense because he was an offensive coach. Also you can coach up a scheme and get a kid open, no matter how much you coach you can't make a sorry slow kid tackle a fast better kid no matter how hard you coach. If you aren't t good enough to catch him and then tackle him coaching won't do jack for a defense.

I graduated from Crosby and played for Haynes. The reason why Crosby got better recently is they opened highway 90 from dayton to downtown. Now we get way more and way better athletes. We get kids whose parents move from downtown Houston and wanna move out and North Shore kids that we weren't getting when i went to school there. There are way more numbers in every class for the program and we are big and fast now. When I was there and coach Haynes was our coach we were coming off  1-9 seasons 2 years in a row and then went 6-4 and 8-4 and had the number one offense in the greater houston area both seasons w/ only 1 scholarship player in 2 seasons at a 5A program. So I think he's underrated if anything, but I played for him and love him so I'm biased. But we were terrible before he got there with the worst facilities ever, then we kicked butt coming off 1-9 back to back he got the community behind a bond and now crosby has facilities that attract kids and parents. We were bad after he left the first few years but then the freeway opened and athletes came to play on the nice turf field and new stadium. Thanks Coach Haynes our community is better for having you, and i'm sure a lot of our current success has to do with the facelift you gave the program.

So let me get this straight you go 1-29 fire your only coach in history to make the playoffs. Then you bring in a guy with over 150 wins after going 1-29 and you don't even let him have two full calender years on campus to turn around the worst program in setx unless you include Beaumont Legacy. Wow that makes no sense. The superintendent must be a coward to let his school board do something that irrational. You can't give the guy two full years on campus to turn around 1-29.

He won more games this season than the last 3.5 seasons combined. So how can you say it wasn't working out. They won 7 total points from winning 5 games and put up almost 40 on big bad Nederland in the last game of the year. Gotta give him another year. This is out of the Cleveland Browns playbook for how to attract bad coaches. Who would want to go there now. Hope the sup has a buddy cause that's the only hope for finding a good coach. And if he does find a buddy I guess we all know who was wanting him out. Sounds shady. Like someone isn't man enough to do things honestly.

Man so every rumor about L Town being a nightmare because of locals on the school board and crazy parents is true if it's really not a football decision. Why hire a guy with with a bunch of experience then make the decision to let him go not based on football
