Nobody is upset about the the fight that happened... other than maybe the fact that it happens an awful lot when Silsbee faces anybody in any sport, pretty much.
A fight is a fight. Suspensions were handed down. It is what it is. Running up the court to punch an unsuspecting player from behind, 50 feet from the actual fight is a completely different story. Since this kid's parents, team, and coaches have apparently not gotten that important lesson through to this young man, the duty to teach him this lesson has now fallen to school administration. If they are still unable to convince this young man of the error of his ways, I suspect that the next person that tries to teach young Mr. McCain this valuable lesson will be wearing a black robe.
Will Silsbee rally to support this young man the next time he attacks someone? I guess it depends on whether or not he's still playing for the Tigers.
Hey Cardinalbacker, this topic has really made your day I see . From calling Devon a thug and no telling what you called him off the internet. We're not perfect, he made a mistake and he's getting punish for it. I can go on and on about what bridge city has said and done, so Log off, cause people tired of seeing your comments bashing a kid.

You got to believe! But that 98-99 LCM team was probably the best one we ever had. I don't think we have won district since that year that I know of.
Y'all haven't !! I graduated in 99, I know.

I did not attend the game. But it's a sad situation. I thought they might upset Silsbee like we have done in the past when we won district beating Lincoln.
REALLY !!!!!! Come on man lol

I know what happened I was there just as I was there when Silsbee and West Orange Played, but everyone in attendance seems to overlook what happened there,, Silsbee guards have to be as good as they are without all the excessive hand check to the face......
You have said hand check in the face about 20 times...Did somebody slap you in the face and you still feeling the effects from it !!!!

That's Chris Martin and to be honest, that was my first time seeing him play since lil dribblers. Kid has a ton of energy and will a good addition to the Tigers.

No choice!!! So are you saying if they held up they shouldnt have subbed? And i was there too. The subbing is what killed them, riding certain players too long every game. Especially on those back to backs was it to win the games or evaluate what you have.
I just agreed to your last post. Of course you sub for rest but that didnt happen, "cramps happen" .A half court offense could have sealed the game which silsbee doesn't have right now.

First off let me say Silsbee played hard every game yesterday. Now They didnt have to play back to back they chose to and a few other teams did too. Cant make excuses when you up 27 running clock. It was a million things they could've done in that second half that would've secured that win. If they weren't going to play some of those kids why bring them. 3-4 minutes of rest wouldve helped them, but they kept jacking up quick shots kept runnijng and of course with no rest they got tired. It's extremely hard to play one way for 32 plus minutes. With somone yelling lets go push it contrary to who was coaching them. WC was cooked but playing one way and not having a half court offense will hurt them.
Just seeing this post !!! I most definitely agree....

Especially a factor if the schedule was correct and not only was this our second bac to back and third of the day but it was their first of the day.
I was there yesterday and cramps played a big role in that second half and coach had no choice but to sub. WC cut that lead down and big Quinn took over the last 1:15 with free throws and put backs. Overall, silsbee needs to get in shape and learn to finish a team off. Great game for both teams !!

Silsbee 5-5 at very best this season. That is with two D-1 transfers. That will probably not happen every year. As someone stated earlier it is only two game in to the new regime, but I don't see this team beating WOS, Navasota, Bridge City, or Huffman. Silsbee currently has three players offered by D-1 schools. That is more than anyone in the area. This is what happens when a car dealership owner is half of the interview process! Come on man! Lol good luck tigers!
Please change your name !!! A Guru wouldn't have said this stupidity

As far as my Tigers go, it was good to see the new guys out there. This team can be scary good. No big height but decent size with 3 or 4 players 6'3 or 6'4. Several dunks and some good shooting. Free throws of course were off last night but many players haven't been on the court for a while. We will have another freshman who contributes this year in Bush. My first time seeing him and he was very impressive, littlest guy on the court and still scoring on the big guys inside and about unlimited shooting range, along with great ball handling skills.
The Tigers only had 5 returnees from the varsity roster(regular season) participate last night, without both McCains and Mackey. There will very few rebounds to be found this year whenBarnes is on the court. If he keeps improving at the rate he has been he should be a big recruit in both football and basketball.
The coaches are going to have many options as far as lineup possibilities this year. Possibly a line up all over 6' with Devon at point. Or small and speedy, oh which may be even faster than last year.
Going to be another good year to be a Tiger!!
Bush will start at the 1 Devin at the 2

Silsbeealum I really find it funny that when someone doesn't agree with the masses on here you perceive it as hate lol I'm not sure if you were paying attention or not but I said ALL year that Silsbee had a good chance of winning state this year and next so you saying I've never say anything positive about the Tigers is absurd when in fact I've had nothing but good things to say about them all year...however I had not seen Silsbee play until Friday and after I actually watched them play I noticed many flaws in their game in which I pointed out before the game started yesterday and I turned out to be %100 correct I'm kind of confused as to why it's being mistaken for hate but oh well.
Oh well !!!
