I'd love to see metal bats banned. My hunch is this would be tied up in court for years and big money will eventually win.

I was told this game was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation. CV pulls out the win in extra inning. Casey Grimmet w/ HR for CV. Soph. all-state ss Larry Rodriguez with go ahead RBI in extra inning.

Fairly harsh response considering the respect and praise my post gave to HJ's baseball team......again. I was responding to the Hales can't pitch every game comment by BIGTUNA.....BH is 10-3-1 at the conclusion of pre-district play. Hales has not even logged the most innings. Also, I read my post again and still couldn't find anything about BH started playing better. I'll stick with my original comments that you have an impressive, well-coached team. Unfortunately, you are in a very tough district. Based on some of the replies that were posted, sounds maybe more accurate to say, Treece can't pitch every game . Best of luck to you guys.

Great work, MIF04 and KFDM COOP ! I agree some of the very best baseball is right here in our backyards.

My personal opinion is that every high school pitcher should use 'roids. 'Cause anyone that knows...it's arm STENGTH that brings that 90+ velocity....NOT !

Eagle07 is not jealous of PNG...just glad we don't see them again...unless of course it's in the playoffs. PNG very impressive from what I've seen. Best of luck.

Hey, Big Tina..My bad I mean't TUNA. Thamm's worst outing by far to date. Thamm certainly did not have his best stuff tonight...HJ impressed me when we played them  earlier in the season. Very well coached team...very disciplined at the plate. Thamm entered this game with 34 k's and only 1 walk...0.89 era..Pre-season schedule for BH did not include too many teams from ST. Mary's school for the blind. Not sure exactly who your yeam is...I'm thinking HJ.. If so, I wish ya'll the best. HJ has certainly impressed me...Basketball incluled But if you're thinking it's all Hales....'Lil tip..I wouldn't wager too much money on that bet..Oh, and by the way Bh has 10 kids who are ripping the ball at the plate.

HJ will be playing tomorrow night in the championship @ 7. Play winner of BH vs. Sealy. I left tonight's game in the top of the 5th. Barbers Hill was up 14-0. Hunter Silva started on the hill for the Eagles. Pitched a very strong game. His dad told me he had 6's, I thought it was more than that. Fastball topped out @ 88 a couple of times. Jonathan Kelley was warming up to throw in the 5th when I left. Barring a very drastic meltdown s/be BH vs HJ in the 'ship tomorrow night. I believe Jr. southpaw Kendall Thamm (2-0 ) will start on the hill for BH. Should be a good one.

Marshall is playing Westbury , started @ 7. I have not heard any updates. I'll try to make some calls. I do know that Westbury did not even show up for their first game in the Ewell Jackson Tournament vs. Milby. If I find out something, I will post.

I knew something had to be up when I heard that early HJ/CE KING score, KFDM COOP.

Final. BH 10-La Marque 0..Hales goes the distance. I think 5 innings. I wasn't at the game. My superiors seem to think making money is more important than high school baseball..go figure. Catcher Cameron Campbell with a 2-run shot. Also, JR. Seth Helmly goes yard in his first varsity at bat. BH will play the winner of Coldspring/Sealy who played earlier today...just got home, have not had time to read over the posts..You know busy making the big man some money !

I'll stay with my original prediction in this tourney...BH vs. HJ. Thamm for BH and Treece ( I think that's right ) for HJ. Should be a good one.

I agree the tourneys starting today thru Saturday could be interesting based on how teams use their pitchers....with district play opening on Tuesday. I do know Barbers Hill did not throw Hales against PNG...Thamm did throw 3 innings and Hunter Silva threw 3 innings. Jonathan Kelley threw the last. I look for Hales to throw early in the BH tourney and be ready for district. Thamm may throw later in the tourney and still have plenty of rest for district play on Friday. Should be interesting to see how it all plays out. Just my random thoughts.
