No, Terry finished third in the district
OK, I thought I saw that last week on one of the high school tv shows. It must have been Angleton needed to beat Terry to be district champs. Somebody else must have had one loss.

 3.
Is Griffin for Terry playing? He's A&M's top commit thus far, #1 rated TE in the country although he plays WR for Terry.
That's who # 80 sounds like. They have him listed at 6'6" 235 lbs on one of the sights I checked.

Memorial might knock them off round one. Didn't realize what kind of path BH had if they could knock off Brenham.
 5.
#80 is playing, but is a non factor. You can see his shoulder is bothering him. No #11.
Is Grandberry a factor?

Both teams are 9-1 for a reason. I'm a Nederland homer and have to give them a slight edge. No way is Dayton a bad team for losing to Summer Creek. That game meant nothing compared to the one Saturday. We've all seen good teams blown out in one of those crazy games when the wheeles fly off. Ned is peaking and will come to play. Dayton will come in ready. This should be a really good ball game. A week ago it would have been the #3 team  vs. the #6 team (in the AP poll).
guess what i hear, Nederland better be ready, cause the kitchen sink is going to be coming at your backfield....hope you have a lot of reserves remember the scrimmage, it was just a preview at least you don't have far to drive home and lick your wounds.,,,,,,
I saw the scrimmage too, and 3-4 players for Ned's D didn't play that played against Crosby the next week. They just looked better, maybe it was just the black and gold but it looked like they had a different makeup. I want Dayton to win too even though I think Ned will, I was just pointing that out for Dayton fans.
 7. Man, I should have ridden over the Hartman for this one. Come on Memorial, set up the showdown at Stallworth.
 8. Two opposing wills. If Vidor shocks the bracket and wins this one there is no reason they shouldn't play for the regional championship. Good luck to both teams.
 9.
21-0 GCM
Man, I thought Terry was the real deal. I guess these boys play a different brand of ball in the SETX. What is Grandberry doing? I picked GCM behind about 200 from him. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Terry play Angleton for the district championship last week?

I hope this doesn't make him want to lay off football next year and concentrate on baseball :(
If I were his parents I would ask him not to play. Lots of time recruiters ask you not to play other sports besides like track or powerlifting, non-impact sports. If he really did commit to UT for baseball then he's elite good. Most time you only have about 10-15 full scholarship players on a baseball team and most of those are pitchers. The other kids went to A&M because UT and Guirrido didn't offer, those programs are on two different levels. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Denny plays second so that means he could have just as well gotten drafted and went to the minors depending on the signing bonus offered. No way I would let him risk a torn acl for something that doesn't matter after next year.
I have no data currently but I would be surprised if a college team had that many full scholarship baseball players.......not saying you are wrong, it is just hard to believe
You're right, most of the time it's about 10 max. A lot of times baseball scholarships pay everything besides room/board and a meal plan. Those aren't "full" scholarships but they would only require the parents to pay about 2k a semester to supplement the rest of the scholarship and this is what the majority of baseball players on the team will have. Most of the full scholarship guys are pitchers anyway though, going to be interesting to see if he can make it to the big leagues and stay unlike our big league Crosby product who set the Astros single game rbi record but can't seem to bat over .200 for any extended periods of time. Got somebody to follow from Barbers Hill besides a golfer now.

I was watching them practice from upstairs at my house yesterday and trying to pick out Grandberry but couldn't help but notice the overall size of the team. GCM has some good looking athletes out there right now but what ever happened to Jamar Gibson?
Where is there a house close enough by that you can watch their practice?  They practice behind the school which is behind the tennis courts.  Springfield is in front of the school.  There is a neighborhood to the west but that is across several fields. 16.
Maybe this isn't the RIGHT place to post this but I wanna explain something thats getting taken for granted(the kids). My son is on Vidor JV and has worked his butt off this year. When he came home yesterday,he was beaming with pride.....they  bumped him up to Varsity so he'll be on the sidelines Friday night. He won't be on the field(benchwarmer)but to him it's a personal success that he earned!!! Next year, someone will deal with him(@15now,5'9-225lbs)but he's happy doing what he loves.Thats what all these kids and parents should be doing.....enjoying the moment and not just smearing someone.BTW,he also sings in the choir(made Region Choir)powerlifts 400lb squat and deadlift@14 last year and has a 3.80gpt.Alabama is already talking to him.As a parent I couldn't be more proud and he doesn't trash talk and if anyone had the right to........I might just say the kids are the ones to earn that right.......not us......just sayin.  8)
Kid must be awesome if Nick Saban is on him as a jv player. David Hammers, Damien Trimble, and Phillip Beck all won state in powerlifting at Crosby on lighter platforms and I went twice (165s and 181s) but nobody talked to me until I was a junior. I powerlifted on varsity as an 8th grader and went to regionals in the 132 pound weight class and had those same numbers but if Alabama is recruiting strong jv players I'm sending my sons and nephews over there. You don't get recruited at Crosby until you play on the varsity. Then again, we do suck. 45-14 Summer Creek, Greg Hogan puts on a show.

Hahaha!!!
There's guys from Dayton and BH out here that make a lot more than me so I wasn't trying to brag, just trying to say I wasn't bitter. I do this because it's fun to rile some of you up and see the responses. The day Crosby losses I'll be off of here until August when I start talking ish again. I'm trying to get my smites up before then though.
 18.
Spoiled rich kids that didn't work a day in there life and got there money from daddy. Now that explains it. Like i said man. I really do feel sorry for you kid. Smh......
Dad never gave me anything but a car in high school and some land now. I grinded out my economics degree and made my own way in the job market. He just lit a fire under me that still burns. And yes, I did say Barrett Station. Not a lot of land for sale in Newport where I grew up. I think you would be surprised at some of the houses and land owners in Barrett Station, not everybody with a 6 figure job wants to move to Barbers Hill. I like to be able to open my back door and shoot hogs with my .223 without the police showing up. So hopefully that explained it for you.

I'm supporting our kids and want them to win......maybe they will, maybe they won't.BUT,I am not on here saying we're going to kick someones teethe in like you posted earlier and named the player.......you might not wanna do that on here.
You don't want them to get a scholarship, graduate college and get a good job, or just not to disagree with you? I mentioned Montana because he's statistically the best player in 20-4a and probably the best player Vidor has had since Elmo and Sparky, never said anything bad about that kid and his game wouldn't let me anyway. I think some of the Vidor people just have and inferiority complex, that's why your always saying Vidor is being overlooked, disrespected and underestimated. Crosby, BH, and Dayton fans say a lot worse things to each other than what anyone in 19-4a says about Vidor.

Far from rich or anything like that though, just blessed. Don't keep saying I'm bitter because you don't agree with me though, when Dayton fans don't agree they just call me stupid and say Crosby sucks. That's a lot better than comparing me to a petulant child 'cause I'm sure you would want your kids to grow up and be just like me. . . . but back on topic though, 45-14 Summer Creek with the starters pulled midway through the third.

They were absolutely horrible. CEK, KP, BH, Crosby, Dayton, and SC games are the only ones that would really compare to football games.
Dayton vs CEK, KP, BH, CRO, SC - 1761 yds allowed    91 pts allowed Crosby vs CEK, KP, BH, DAY, SC - 1763 yds allowed    131 pts allowed
Good research, Dayton is trending down while Crosby is trending up though. The point disparity comes from the KP and Dayton games. The yards we gave up came from playoff teams, if BH had their qb you would have given more yards than Crosby. Y'all gave up 650 yards to KP and King, they didn't have 400 combined on us. Number are what the numbers are but I would take Crosby's defense and definitely offense over Dayton's right now.
