1. Beautiful caoching move to go with the hard count and draw Vidor offsides. SC threw the td anyway ,Sharp is on point tonight. Almost panic time for Vidor. 31-17 Creek, 8 mins left in the third
 2.

Vidor 257 total yards - SC 215. We need to play our game in the second half and we'll be fine. Not bad for a little 4A school vs a 5A team with 3000 kids.
AGREE!  Keep it up, Pirates! Stay focused!
Same way our stats looked when we put up 459 yards on them. Still lost by 28 though, we'll see if Vidor can keep moving it.
 3.
This was a good thread and an even better game until Cougtalk started opening his mouth........I think the turn over fairy will visit his wannabe team in the 2nd half.........and maybe just maybe the refs will get glasses for ALL their calls then too......apparently the big screen isnt enough to HELP them make the right calls........or is that you on the field in the white hat Coug????? ;D ;D ;D
Please don't talk about the refs, SC would have 30+ if they were being biased. Vidor coaches are on the field helping call the penalties.

SC hasn't stopped Vidor, Vidor has stopped themselves with turnovers.
agree with Bronx... not saying Crosby is on same level either. this is a number 1 vs 2 matchup. I just think SC is substantially better.
smh.... ::)
SC player dropped a pick right before half at the 50 too. SC is hitting their stride so we'll see if Vidor can score the 28 more they're going to need. Like I said though, you're going to be talking about that Crosby win for a while because they'll still be the only ones you have. Crosby put up 400 yards on y'all last year and moved pretty easy, we just didn't punch it in. These boys are moving it and punching it in. Interesting to see if Vidor has a second set of plays if they get down a couple more scores.

Pirates just dodged a bullet when an SC db missed a pick on the near sideline with just under a minute, otherwise SC might have gotten another score.
More like sc got lucky vidor caught the fumble bug early. Without those turnovers sc wouldn't have had half the points they do.
Need to stop calling them turnovers and start calling them takeaways. That last fumble the SC db lit the Vidor receiver up. 24 first half points though, SC is a second half team too.

 7. Summer Creek fans over here are some of the most enthused people I've seen since those Stephenville and Trinity fans. The fans are starting to feel confident they've seen most of Vidor's plays.
 8. Dave says y'all will have three team posting on here after this week. Let's see.
 9. Dave says we'll only have one team posting in this thread after this week. Let's see.
 10. Just read in the Sun that Austin Walter rushed for 1,667 regular season yards. It also says Aston threw for over 1,700 yards and rushed for 700 more. As it stands right now we have over 4,000 yards returning to the backfield for the 2013 season. (These are Baytown Sun statistics)

Katy tried everything they could to keep from scoring. RB had 15 carries 222 yards 4 4TD's in the first half. All starters sat after halftime. 10 freshmen played the 4th qtr. 120 kids suited up and every single one of them got playing time. Another reason why 4 teams shouldnt be in the playoffs....mismatch from the get go.
smh, this was just a warm up game for them.
Looks like it's Katy and Steele in the semis.
Katy has to one up La Porte first, then either PAM/Manvel. I dont think thats gonna happen.  ;) Steele should have no trouble in region 4.
They have 5 state titles since '97 and have played for 10 titles since '94. They've probably had tougher roads. I just think Katy is licking their chops at this D2 bracket.

 14.
not sure how they will scheme it this week, but you will not find a better athlete than Tony Brown...he can track people down from anywhere on the field...he is THAT fast
That's why I'm trying to figure out how we're going to occupy him. I wonder if they put him on our big receiver and his potential Big 12 opponent or our most consistent receiver Walter. We can get up and down the field with the best of them though. Keep an eye on the defensive end #18 for Crosby, if we get a few more opportunities for him to shine I think he could get a Big 12 offer too.
 15.

Awesome D they held L town to 21 ;D
Nederland Defense (134.9 per game rushing & 82.7 passing) Ozen Defense (144.3 per game rushing @ 100.5 passing) seems as if the OZEN defense isntas bad as some think b/c Nederlands defense pretty good and the panthers numbers arent far behind..
Not saying you numbers aren't valid, but don't y'all only have one offense that averages over 350 yards? I bet Vidor and LCM's numbers are similar too.
 16. Does Raliegh Johnson play safety on the same side as Brown, or do they man Brown up? It would be interesting to see if they put him on Walter or Singleton.
 17. Numbers do matter though, the only three teams in the region that are undefeated all have enrollments over 2000. Georgetown(5a last year), Dawson, Summer Creek. If you have a weak district and the bigger enrollment schools don't go to the playoffs then you get some disparities, but Vidor is the 4th largest school in 20-4a and only 33 kids away from third. Dayton should have the beef much like Crosby used to in D1 year after year, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th largest enrollments in 19-4a didn't even make the playoffs, our 5th and 6th place school are bigger than your largest school and this is what we play in district yearly. We don't get the breaks like Brenham having 1400+ kids but playing D2 every year because they play in high enrollment districts with decent teams. It all evens out in the end anyway (except for Manvel being 4a D2 then realigning to 5a the next year), all the high enrollment schools have to play each other. Can't make any excuses, this is what happens when you regularly go to the playoffs.

Vidor defense is too stout. They will blitz like SC has not sceen. Pressure will make SC one demensional and the secondary will rally to the short passes. Vidor has very sure tacklers in the secondary and were second in the district in interceptions. Vidor is very underated. MQ is the real deal and the Pirate offensive line is the real thing.
we saw film....Vidor blitz every play, and their secondary holds and push to keep up with wrs....I'm sure the refs will be watching ;)
We saw film on sc as well and we didn't miss the holding or pass interference or personal fouls either and I'm sure the refs will be watching.  8)
You didn't see pass interference on SC much...I can't remember us having one called in last 7 games....at least I don't remember, and holding and personal fouls ??? That's Vidors middle name....
Just because it wasn't called doesn't mean it's not there lol. And y'all ain't got much room to talk about holding and personal fouls.
When we win tonight, will y'all say its because of our enrollment ;D
When we win tonight will y'all say its cuz of the refs?? Lol
Hey the Refs can determine a game, but our enrollment does not have anything to do with it.....
Really?? I would love for y'all to play Katy and then we will see if numbers matter. Wow smh...... ::)
Katy really isn't really a good example, they probably only have about 600 more kids than SC. They're just extremely well coached and disciplined. Kingwood and Atascocita right down the road has about the same numbers as Katy or slightly more and I think SC would throttle them. Probably couldn't tell with SC unless they played a North Shore, Deer Park, Westfield, or Klein Collins schools with significant numbers over 3000. Katy is like La Marque, they're going to beat you with whatever numbers they have.

Tony Brown - [Hidden Content] - kid could be and ESPN five star, don't know if we've ever had a five star in the SETX since espn has been doing the under armor rankings. Probably a top 5-7 player in the country next year. 2. Chevoski Collins - [Hidden Content] - best chance to play on Sundays is probably safety, going to probably get up to 210 or 215 at UT giving him a chance to be like Huff and Thomas 3. Alex Sezer -  [Hidden Content] - probably going to play corner, A&M is loaded in the backfield and at receiver 4. Deshawn Washington - [Hidden Content] - there have been comparisons to Justin Manning who is top 10 DT in the country out of Dallas Kimball for the 2013 class 5. Robert Mitchell - [Hidden Content] - I hope Central's season didn't hurt him. It is a down year man, y'all have two teams over .500. Be it not for the likes of Collins, Brown and Mitchell y'all could have a weaker district than that. Happens sometimes though, this was just the 20-4a year.
If you would have been there and watched MQ play against #2 and 5 you would then see why we say he's much better. Those two may be better passing wise but they got their lunch ate when they played us this year.
You think he's better because he plays for Vidor and your a Vidor fan. If Collins and MQ switched teams, Colllins would put up those same numbers and you would think Collins was the better player, he might even put up better ones. At least that's what the people at the University of Texas think. Kid at Friendswood ran for 2000 from the qb position in the district with Dawson, Texas City, and GCM but recruiters still think Collins and Brown are better. Wood is committed to Tech though.
