For someone to actually be DESPERATE enough to come on a FOOTBALL forum & start talking about another town's poverty levels in their post to prove a point about their football team, speaks VOLUMES about their character & class!!!! What's next cougar14? Your mamma jokes?

Where did I say anything about my team? Just tired of Nachoboy posting that. I didn't post anything but a fact. I can give you some "your mamma jokes", I'd rather tell you in person though. I can pm you my home address if you would like.
Wow, this entire post is down right disgraceful.  Secondly, I do not believe the person that posted the original comment is even from Vidor. Third, he made this same comment on a previous thread regarding what some of the opposing fans said at the concession stand during a playoff game last year. I have truly never seen more obnoxious fans than the ones posting on behalf of SC. You will get knocked on your a@@ eventually and I pray it's courtesy of the Pirates. You will begin to beat yourself on the field if your over confident persona rolls over during any game. IF you win this Friday, I can assure you you will not win state. You are not the best football program in Texas.
On a football note, have you ever seen them play?  My guess is no.  They are good, real good.  8) 8)
Of course not, she's speaking from the heart like a delusional fan does. 3.
This will be a challenge for the Pirates no doubt, but they have a good shot with jeff's wing t. People forget and under estimate the effectivness of a ball control offense because it isn't popular and flashy like the spread, it is perfect for Vidor, they can't get into a track meet and win. Vidor dominates time of posession and pounds the ball in the endzone, causes a turnover or two and they win in a close one. 30 to 24 Vidor.
So you expect Vidor to run the ball on a team that specalizes in stopping the run and getting you out of your game, not to mention score more points on them than anybody this year. Basically you betting on SC playing their worst game, 'cause if both teams play to the best of their talent Vidor gets beat by at least 20. Y'all got smoked by Angleton last year, and when I watched Angleton play Dawson last year I didn't think they were close to as good as this SC team. I just don't see Vidor scoring the most points on SC all year and holding them to the least. They've seen better backfields than Quirante and Moore this year, and how's your qb going to be in the fourth quarter after chasing receivers on 40 pass routes during the game? If SC doesn't turn the ball over the Pearl fans will be leaving early.

Their three losses aren't bad except maybe Waco but it's hard to tell without any like opponents. They barely have 1000 kids so I'm sure they're going to be playing kids both ways so hopefully Crosby can gain a little conditioning edge. Other than that, all I can tell is they're pretty effective throwing the ball and they hand it off to about 8 different guys. On another subject, I think if Summer Creek beats Georgetown in the second round and Dawson in the regional final, who are both a combined 20-0 right now then I think they're the clear favorite for the 4a D1 state title. Should be good test because both of those schools have those 2000+ enrollment numbers like SC does.
Manor's enrollment is at about 1800 right now. I don't think we have one kid that goes both ways.
OK, I looked on USNEWS to get those stats. They rank all aspects of the school. This must be pretty old then. [Hidden Content] Y'all have an inner city school feel like a North Forrest or Ozen and should be pretty fast but when I looked at the team highlights for the year I only saw few for the offense. I didn't check on the non-playoff teams besides Bastrop though. I notice y'all play two or three qbs, why is that? Also, is Tyrone Owens the feature back or had a few good games? What are the names of your best players and where can I find your team's complete stats? I looked in The Statesman but they don't have complete stats.

You have had way too much, way too early. You are delusional if you think either team will win in a blow out. The Barbies have played three viable teams all season and lost to all three, but played each one close. Livingston has played six playoff teams, lost to five and played all pairly close. Both teams lost to Dayton in a relatively close game. Both teams blew out Lumberton. These are two evenly matched teams. Both play smash mouth football. This will be a hard faught, close game. It will probably turn on a special teams play, a turnover or one big play. Oh yea, and the tradition of loosing in the first round of the playoffs.
Hmmm... last 4 years Livingston has made the playoffs twice and lost both times in the 1st round, so it looks like you have a tradition of your own ONE AND DONE or in two of those years NONE AND DONE ;D ;D
Don't kill me for this stat, it doesn't have anything to do with Crosby. Just two weeks ago Livingston gave up 342 rushing yards and 42 points to Vidor. BH is a similar, run it 60 times team but do have a relatively good defense. Unless Collins goes crazy, I think BH pounds Livingston.
That is correct, the home side was extended on both ends. Not sure of the capacity though.
North Shore only holds 10,500 and is probably one and a half times bigger than BH. I don't think there's anyway BH holds 9k. Unless y'all expanded since the Crosby game last year, it's tight in there. I think Crosby and BH set the then attendance record for the staduim and it was packed with only about 7k, the bands were in the stands too though.
I have to disagree with you on this one MBG. Besides 92 what position is Ned better at on D. Maybe 90 on the other side but if so not much. # 76 for SC is the best d-tackle in this district and the best I've seen so far this year. SC secondary are bigger and faster, the linebackers are bigger and faster, I'll give the D-line a push but SC gets interior pressure while Ned gets it off the ends. We played both teams, and we only scored 7 on Ned but it was the first game of the season with a new coaching staff so I'm sure it would be different now. We barely got 20 on SC and we're one of the most potent offenses in the region. Pryor is one of Ned big time players and doesn't have a rivals offer/interest sheet yet. Start looking up the SC players on D and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Nederland's entire front 4 are beasts big strong and fast... Nederland's linebacks are tough also... Maybe one day you can get a minimum wage job at the local Cracker Barrel and make your parents proud. They didn't run it down our throat, they barely had 300 total yards which was 100 shy of their average and got outgained by 100 yards giving up 10 per carry. If anything we ran it down their throat, just made too many mistakes. Flannigan never made the DC adjust and now he's coaching at Westbrook after going to the playoffs 6 straight years. I doubt you heard any Crosby fans saying that, but SC is 99% brothers and they definitely won't be saying that.

Trust me, if the playoff system was watered down like it is now it wouldn't have taken even 6 years to win a playoff game. Maybe Liltex or MBG can say for sure but I know they only took two max from each district and I think at the beginning they only took the district champ. They've been taking 4 teams since BH has been 4a, no excuses.

Stats say it should be close, but I doubt any Vidor fans will say, "see the stats said it was going to be close and we got blown out." I'm sure they would let me know if it was vice-versa though.
 15.
Sc run defense: 108.2 yards a game Vidor run defense: 94.7 yards a game Nuff said.  8)
Vidor has those numbers because they limit the opponents possessions. SC has those numbers because their opponents are usually passing the second half because you COULDN'T run. You don't have to worry about SC trying to run it anyway, they could care less about a sweep play. They let Aaron Sharp, Greg Hogan, and Ruffin run the score up, then they give it to Keevon Aldridge to put it on ice. You might not see two run plays in a row in the first half.
 16.
3 down lineman and 2 Lbs upright on the ends. Sounds like five OTLS to me. You are leaving the middle open and their talent is trying to react to the ball. Those inside LBs will be out of position early. They will make adjustments cause their going to have trouble finding the ball. Again we will see how they are coached and how willing they are to stick to the program. Long drives and a running clock will keep Vidor in it, but it will be tough. As I said earlier SC is for real and should win out in the end. One thing is for sure -- I do not see a similar score to Dayton/SC. I have had many people tell me Dayton laid down early, Vidor on the other hand won't.
Dayton definitely threw in the towel but that doesn't mean if they didn't it would have made a difference. SC gets major interior push so they'll walk those lbs down to control the edges. Vidor's linemen won't get to the second level often and you can forget running outside. SC's linebackers and bigger and faster than the Vidor backs and I'm sure Moore is going to be tired of getting hit at or just beyond the line of scrimmage, much like BH's 230 lb O'Neal. If Vidor is down 24-0 at halftime and has about 25 total yards like Dayton I think the Pirates are in for a character check. Crosby never layed down because we were moving the ball up and down the field and had hope, just couldn't stay out of our own way. BH couldn't move it but SC was misfiring and didn't run away. This is basically an SC home game so we'll see if the Black Pearl can sail their show on the road. . . . . . last time I checked there wasn't a current on I-10 though.

Oh and the KWP score that BH held to 80 yards ;D
35-17 with a td called back and one dropped in the wide open. 340 yards allowed on the ground 489 total. Your worse whipping of the year along with your worse defensive performance for the second year in a row. I know y'all were happy to keep us under 50. We're going to beat your head in again next year too. We put up over three times the yards y'all did on Dayton too, just had a bad night. We ain't Dayton though, we don't play y'all close.

 19.
After watching the BH tape I feel even better about Vidor's chances. SC bites hard on misdirection and Vidor is a master at that. SC will be making adjustments to that 5 man front very quickly. Don't worry though SC fans, you will probably be able to catch most of Vidor's runners from behind. As I said earlier, if you rely on your speed and athletism, without being disciplined, your kids will be watching the Vidor runners going by them before they realize who has the ball. BH and Vidor's O is not the same. With Vidor all you ever know is the QB had the ball first. You actually have to tackle all that get the fake handoffs as well. I see a lot of frustrated D players for SC early on. It will be interesting to see how good your coaches really are, cause even with all that talent, they will have to coach this game.
SC doesn't run a 5 man front. They play a 3-4 and walk the linebackers down or around the line of scrimmage. You have to double the nose (#76) which allows those two beast middle linebackers to just stand in the middle and wait. If your tackles can single the ends then you get to deal with the other two linebackers on off-tackle plays. Much like BH, Vidor can't throw so on film you see them not respecting the pass. They won't respect the 300 yards Vidor has on the year passing either. I'm going to drive over to Deer Park and catch this one so I hope Vidor does put up a good fight, but we barely broke 100 rushing with the twins and I don't think Vidor can throw it like we did to keep it close for a while. I'll be eating crow while I'm reporting from the game if Vidor does find a way to consistently move the ball though, just don't think after 10 games of being a beast against the run SC is going to forget how to defend it.

The statistics didn't warrant Atlanta being an 8 win team and the first time they didn't get a Cam Newton turnover or a Roddy White bomb late, they lost. The stats said they were giving up too many yards, and that's exactly what turned out to be their downfall. SC isn't playing people close. And if stats really mean nothing, why does the NFL make you list an injury report. If the W.A.R is the same there shouldn't be a need for an injury report, but the stats are what odds-makers set the lines on and what gamblers bet on. Listen to ESPN radio when they talk about matchups, they justify EVERY prediction with stats. I guess those guys don't know anything either though.

Even though the stats against good teams said Dayton couldn't move the ball and they didn't, you have to throw them out the window. The stats said Dayton was having trouble with the run and that SC could sling it all over the field, even though Dayton got it ran down their throat and Sharp chunked it all over the place you have to throw the numbers out of the window. I know Vidor only averages 32.6 passing yards per game with 1 td and 4 ints, but they really can throw it if they need to. They also average 400 ypg rushing and have breakaway speed. As much heart as these kids have, I would just tell Sharp not even to come down the beltway.
 22.
There's still people out there doubting the Bulldogs???!!!  Really? The beatdown they gave Dayton and the rest of the Region III 19A should put all doubters on notice. The Dawgs have THREE solid starting receivers, each could be the #1 receiver on most other teams.  They have TWO excellent starting running backs AND their 2nd string running back could start on most teams they play this year.  And everyone knows our Quarterback.  He can beat you with his arms or legs.  How do you defend a team that can throw, run, and has QB that's dangerous out of the pocket? The Dawgs are coming to a town near you.  Don't miss the greatest show on turf.
Y'all are good, but not 45-7 on Dayton good. Haven't you heard the Bronco and Pirate fans? Dayton played a bad game, BH is the real measuring stick. I know y'all only scored in the twenties one time this year but you haven't seen Vidor's slot-t, ball control offense. It's way better than the BH offense that had 3 pts in the 4th quarter against y'all. Even though BH and Crosby played y'all closer, Dayton and their 111 total yards was you toughest test, not Crosby and their 459 yards with 21 points (both are most of anybody in the district). You hadn't been tested before BH either, even though you beat Dayton at home worse than any playoff team in 19-4a. District play is over though, so now Vidor and their smash mouth style will play you closer than anybody has so far. They'll be the 2nd team since district to break 20 pts along with being the 2nd to hold you under 30. They are going to hit you hard and have a lot of heart, and since you haven't seen that so far this year I have to go with Vidor . . . . . . . to keep it within 30
 23.
This game will be closer than most (non pirate fans) think. Vidor will slow the game down some. Don't look at the Dayton game as any kind of barometer. Look at BH game vs SC. That is about what you will have. SC. 28 Vidor. 14
I wouldn't look at the BH game as a barometer either. Dayton had a bad night Friday, Creek had a bad game that night. That was SC's worst game of the year and they were still up 21 in the 4th quarter. That's the only game all year they have been held under their averages and Vidor just gave up 42 points to a non-playoff team. I know Vidor was missing some starters but LCM was missing their best starter and still didn't have a problem scoring. I think Vidor can keep it close if SC doesn't stop the 3 or 4 at a time but if they have a few three and outs early like Dayton, I think it could be ugly like Dayton. SC beat us by 28 and beat Dayton by 38, Dayton just couldn't move the ball or it would have been similar to the 49-21 score they had with Crosby. It's a lot more likely Vidor gets the SC that played Dayton and Crosby than the one that had a bad game and was up 21 on BH in the 4th.

Turnovers.
The stat that matters with the Cowboys though is that they are the worst team in the NFL on third down.
 25.
i have family that lives in Summer Creek and a nephew who goes to that school district....would i be welcome to come sit on the Summer Creek side wearing my purple and white and cheer them on against Vidor?
I sat on their side during the Dayton game got their viewpoints. Very enthusiastic people, plus I saw a few very nice looking women. I wish their band would have fired it up like those old Smiley, Forrest Brook and Jones games though.
