3. YATES AND jONES to 3-A . Had forgotten about Jones. oh-oh
 4. Livingston? no change? or did I hear wrong?
 5. The scary thing is that talent will only get you so far. It comes a point and time when playing smart is part of the equation. Now, if the talent and playing smart is fused together, you have a winning combination. Too many times I see athletic teams gambling on defense too much. No patience, making silly fouls and *not thinking on their feet.* I've seen it too many times where teams like Nederland ( and especially HJ) with far lesser talent destroy & break down so-called better teams
 6. Central better play smart.
yep
so do you think he should transfer to HF for the off-season?
yeah off season prior to Fall

He may not turn the ball over, but as from what I have seen, he is not that much of a threat unless he is posted up from behind the three point line. He is definitely not a better player than Zjori Bosha nor Devante Johnson, who I feel are probably top ten-fifteen in the area. What are your thoughts?
He is actually more dangerous when he penetrates. He can create a shot by driving, and he finishes strong. He shoots 8-10 FTs/game bc he gets fouled frequently while driving to the hoop. He's not 'explosive' like Prudhomme. He has deceptive speed, which allows him to beat his man when he has to. He is dangerous from beyond the arc, as you mentioned, but all 11 of his points last night were from driving to the hole.
:-X PATIENCE :-X
 11. Another *trained* eye in the bunch of bleacher coaches on this site ;)
I have had heard several explanations of it.  My latest understanding is that the .5 is a count of students who attend half days who are counted as "1/2" student.  So if you have an odd number of those, you will have a ".5"
I like your explanation better than the one I saw in my head. I guess I've been watching the Chiller Channel too much. ;)
 13.

I was about to agree with you when I saw you were talking about Central.  I thought LCM missed too many shots under the goal and should have won.  I do agree that Central missed too many shots and LCM avoided a bigger margin loss.
Those big men of yalls are legit.  It's just hard for them to operate when there is no spacing.  The guards are not very good.  They are not a big threat from the outside and they are not a threat to penetrate, so, we sag into the big men because we know that's all you have.  Now, the Bear guards DID play better in this meeting than the last one.  They didn't turn the ball over nearly as much as they did the first time.  Good Luck to LC-M.  They will beat Livingston and make the playoffs.
Ws the big fella in better shape this time? Looked like he was tired Ozen's first meeting this year.
 14. Right on time. DV must have roots from 5th Ward. :-\
 15. Nash, OJ was innocent. It did not fit!!!!!!
 16.
Central has the most talent in 20-4A....by far.
I concur!
 17.
I am shocked again.  I wonder if Tigersvoice is reading this thread.  If he is, TV, do you ever recall me being sarcastic on this board?
lHonesty is the best policy but insanity is the best defense.
 18. Coach English, you say all the right words. Good job!
 19. I know! I started to delete it b4 I posted ;D
 20.
How can you hate Bird?  After all, he was the product of a version of "Da Hood" while Magic came from a relatively wealthy family?
Just saying the name, "French Lick, Indiana send chills thru me and those hood rat gang bangers roaming the street ::) ::)
 21. This game is all about pride and bragging rights. Thats it! The true test will come during playoffs to see who gets to Austin. ;)
Central have some very talented frosh and soph(s) pushing the upperclassmen right now. Its going to really be a dogfight over there for playing time.
So true.  But to say that we DIDN'T want a talented player like him is just foolish.
The main thing is that HJ did what was best for him and obviously it was a good decision, all parties involved are definitely doing well this season. Looks like you will be able to keep your same coach because Central is having a good season ;)
