Wow!  Team on the rise huh???
Sadly, in comparison to past years, this is an improvement.

    ??? How exactly?
Tarkington actually won a game this year.  In past years they have had 0 wins

i am willing to bet coldspring scouting team will be at silsbee in full force when that times comes do i have any takers
I doubt Coldspring will be scouting WOS against Silsbee.  Coldspring won't see WOS until round 4 if they both get there.  CS will possibly have to go through Bridge City, LaMarque, and Navasota to get the chance to play WOS.

    Back to this thread!
Currently, WOS has the best defense in the state as far as points scored against them.  Period.  Doesn't matter who they played, they have the best numbers.  At this point last year, Coldspring was in a similiar position, and made it deep in the playoffs.  We will have to wait and see how this plays out for WOS.  Remember that this is high school football and wierd things can happen.  Good luck to the Mustangs and hope to see you in the playoffs wk 4.

First Mac is not going anywhere promise unless he leaves on his own. Most political coach ever seen. Second CS got much better when their coach barbay got there. Plus Huffman plays in the weakest district in the state so really? Why don't Huffman man up and play better teams in non district? CS does instead if the worthings and kashmers of the world? Where can I find the district rankings for 3A?
I wouldn't say that our district is a powerhouse, but I seriously doubt it is the weakest.  Probably pretty comparable to all the others.  Just because Coldspring and Huffman have walked through district so easily the last few years doesn't mean that the district is the worst.
Also, Coldspring only played such a tough predistrict schedule this year because they couldn't find anyone else that would play them.  The last two years everyone on this forum has accused Coldspring of playing too easy of a predistrict schedule.  You play who you can find to schedule that will give you good practice and hopefully is not 2 or 3 hours away.  Sometimes they are good, sometimes they are not so good.

Is it playoff time yet? I mean these games are boring after the coin toss. It has gotten to weare we are going to watch the bands play.. Cs by a ton on this one.. Hope the half time show is good and everyone has a safe game..

My question is will the town of Cleveland be sitting with Liberty watching this game as Coldspring will be in Cleveland the next week?
I doubt it, the bleachers in Coldspring on the visitor side are tiny and I don't know that Cleveland really gets along good enough with anyone in our district to sit with them.

  6. Starters will be out after halftime.  The problem is that our last option running back was so impressive last week against Huffman, and ended up being our leading rusher after marching down the field on one drive and then breaking a long run for a touchdown on the next drive, it may be hard to find a running back to keep from running the score up worse.
    60-7 Coldspring.

Keep wishing, that won't happen, are you sure your not on drugs with all these predictions ????
After Coldspring scored this year the most points ever scored for the series vs. Shepherd (69) and vs. Huffman (60), I think he prepares next year's squad with Liberty. But he may let the seniors play vs. Cleveland to what the players and fans want to do is "the most points ever scored" by Coldspring period, it means 74 on Cleveland. (Old record 1994 vs. Trinity 73 points) It is a rival crossing all sports(including Basketball) dates back to the '80's and just fitting for Cleveland. If he lets them instead of running the clock out, means Shepherd may capitolize on broken hearts and bad attitudes.

If we can help out our neighbors in San Jacinto County by running up the score on Cleveland, than I guess we should try.  ;D ;D

Looks like Cleveland and Shepherd will be fighting for 3rd place this year.
Who would have thought that was even a possibility when the year started.
There wont be a fight,Cleveland will stomp Shepherd like a bug.
You will have an eye opening experience in two weeks. I'm not ready to predict an Indian victory but you can put that mercy rule in check. Coldspring isn't hanging 60 on the Indians. This game will be very competitive. I knew after the Cleveland v. Huffman game that Huffman would have trouble with Coldspring. Cleveland beat Huffman in every stat but turnovers and of course the score board. The only one that matters. If Cleveland can capitalize on opportunities offensively and not turn the ball over, the battle of the C's will be just that, a battle.

The question is wil Cleveland recover from the beating Coldsppring will give to them the week before Shepherd plays them. I predict not, they fold and Shepherd by 6.

We will have to wait and see, but probably not much of a battle.  More of a slaughter

These two teams respect each other.  I am hoping for a competitive game like it has been the last two years.  Good luck to both teams, and hopefully a lot of people will be there to make it a playoff atmosphere.

Leaving now.  See you at 7:30
    Good luck to both teams.
    Trojans rumble.
