It looks like you was moved up after your win against Gilmer. So, don't act like the predicitions mean something now. If it does you should of lost to Gilmer. lol. We love when people say we had a easy schedule or easy playoff run. Yes, Wimberly is not easy and our boys are only looking Day by Day but be careful what you ask for. If we both win you will get your shot at this easy scheduled, one dimensional, playoff weak team. I can hear it now when you lose this week or next, like refs suck, ball wet, kids arm hurt, wind blowing or I heard a dog bark and distracted everyone. I hope we play, I don't think our boys are intimidated. Remember everyone on this team scrimaged or was opposite a State Runner-up Player everyday last year at his time, while your boys were shooting free throws. The edge goes to us or Wimberly.
I'm more interested in your plan for beating your opponents not your opinion. Argyle has had a tougher schedule than anyone in the 3A D2 playoffs up to this point. We know tough matchups so don't discount "the edge" we have too.
Our "plan for beating our opponents" is probably about the same as yours for the rest of the playoffs/state games.  Show up early, find a good seat in the bleachers, use the restroom and go to the concession stand before the game starts.  Cheer for our team.  That sounds about like my game plan for friday.  Hang on, coach is calling.

After listening to the Wimberley game last night, I think CS will be able to handle Wimberley.  The only thing that I am not sure of is the Wimberley Defense.  They shut down one of the best running backs in the history of the country stats wise last night.  I don't know if he was overrated or they just played that good.  I am hoping his numbers were inflated.  I guess we will see this friday.

Wish my Cardinals could have played CS in the 4th round  :'( That would have been a good game..

WOS beat Bridge City in district, right?
Coldspring beat Bridge City in the playoffs, right?
Has Bridge City got better since they lost in Week 1 of playoffs?
The game between Coldspring and Bridge City was a good game.  7-0.  Why would it have been better in Week 4 of the playoffs? :o :o :o :o

Also, about 20 years after the Cowboys stopped having camp in Huntsville.  Coincidence or some Cowboy genetics show up in Huntsville High for awhile?
Well if that were the case, the last few years should have been very, very special indeed!  ;D
It's been a long time ago now, but when Huntsville's football team was so good was at the time where any Cowboy genetics would have been in High School.  After the Cowboy's quit having camp there, and the offspring would have graduated, the football program took a dive.

Finally, everyone healthy for CS.
I believe THAT made the difference last night.
That and all the talk about our offense not being everything is has been hyped up to be really motivated the players.
Should we start a smack talking thread and pretend to be Devine or Wimberly? Just smack talk the Trojans til next week? ;) Hey... if it helps right?

I know nothing about Devine but if Wimberly is anything like last year... they are a great bunch of boys.  Very well mannered and GREAT Sportsmanship...  they are more like CS in that they don't worry so much about returning smack, they show it on the playing field.
I thought you was a "village idiot" if you talk smack? Don't root your own town out. Last year did you not see that Wimberly player, after the whistle, grab a receiver from behind and slam him on the ground? Only because he man-handled him blocking all night between the whistles. That was Wimberly. He was ejected for fighting, so no they didn't have sportsmanship, nor have we ever had a player do that. our player was not ejected and luckily didn't have any injuries. I talked to the Receiver he learned a life lesson that night to always protect yourself.
I think he either played corner or saftey.  He would have late hits, helmet to helmet hits and just played dirty. He was out to "put someone out"  I was happy when he was ejected. But as a whole,  the team had pretty good sportmanship.
I agree with that but isn't that what a team sportsmanship is about? The whole team. Most teams titled with bad sportsmanship is actually one or two players.
Yes its about the whole team.  Every team have that one guy that makes the whole team look bad.  I will be listening to the Wimberely devine game today. Hope we don't have to play too far away.  :)
Hope y'all don't either.  I'd like to see that one.
I'm guessing Waco or Austin.  Depending on the outcome of today's game.
Wimberley - Waco
Devine - Austin
But just guesses

are gilbert and monroe seniors? how about the qb?
Gilbert and Monroe both seniors.
Scott (QB) is a junior.
One O lineman is a senior.
#44 Harrison (LB) is a senior.
#52 Andries (DLine) is a senior.
A few other seniors scattered around on certain plays and packages.
Most of the rest are Juniors with a handful of sophmores scattered  in.

Okay yall can stop acting like Coldspring is god now.

Why would you even come on this thread if you don't want to read about a team that played good and beat another good team.  There are lots of basketball threads on here that you can go to and check on your school.
Congrats WOS on a great season.
Great game Trojans, keep rumbling.......
9. Good to see the Trojan O rumbling again.
IMO best game the offense has had this year.  Had at least 4 receivers make big plays.  Offensive line did a great job opening the running lanes, and Monroe and Gilbert were very impressive.  They were both running with determination tonight.  They were not going to be denied.  Scott played a great game.  Kept the turnovers down, and made some great throws.  Gonna be hard to stop if they keep playing at this level.
And what can I say.  The Trojan D is a beast.

CS will be defeated in this game by an equally talented opponent the WOS Mustangs.  Bridge City gave coldspring the best run they've had all year and CS came up with a W in that game due to one break-away play, WOS defense wont have a problem containing the trojens and the CS goal line offense is something terrible especially under pressure like they were in the BC game and like they will be tonight against the Mustangs. Dont look for CS to attempt a fieldgoal, it was an embarrassment when attempted previously but hey when your use to scoring massive points you have no need for a FG kicker right!? WRONG!  that may be the deciding factor tonight, CS can only go for two or go for it on 4th down and if that continues they will only get continously stuffed just like Bridge City did them. CMON West Orange you've got this one.  WOS 17  CS 12

(steps on soap box)
I was kind of disappointed in a bunch of the WOS fans though.  With over 5 minutes left they were filing out of the stadium like their team wasn't worth supporting.  This game was no where near over.  I cannot stand this "fair weather" fan attitude.  I have seen it show it's head on the Coldspring side also, and wish that those fans would stay at home.  If you can't cheer for your team when they are losing, then you shouldn't be allowed to cheer for them when they are winning either.
Congratulations Trojans.
I sat on the WO-S and left about that time you mentioned.  Plenty tried to leave to get a head start on the traffic..bad idea...I didn't see many blue and silver leaving as I was walking out.  I sure 1/2 of each side was supporters from other towns.
There were a lot of other schools there supporting one team or the other, but it sure looked like a huge amount of fans streaming out.  I just feel like the WOS team deserved better than that.  They had a great season and played hard tonight.  Things just didn't fall in their favor.
12. Wow! What a game.
WOS had a great team and we got to see some of that advertised speed.  They were the first team this year that was able to run with our boys.  They have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
I don't remember the number but the "little" running back is pretty darn good.  He is very quick and hard to tackle.  Also, I was very impressed with several of the WOS players at the end of the game.  In particular #14.  He showed some great sportsmanship and was very classy.  Congratulations on a great year.

I think they may have been the best game ya'll have played all year.  Don't let up now!  Keep things Day-By-Day and keep working hard.  Ya'll are the real deal and showed it tonight.
