No, sir. Maybe YOU meant "stop rotating QBs", but more than one remark was made about our sophomore QB being not ready and specifically about his performance against Newton. Therefore, my reply was directly to those people and their comments. If you are not lumped into those, then it was not meant for you.

ok I got you..there we go

WO-S fans should move on from this game. WO-S is going through growing pains. Newton will lose a  ton of people next year and will have to go through the same growing pains. WO-S will be all right as long as Cornell it there. Just in case WO-S want's to get rid of him, there is a long list of school that would love to have him, including Newton. WO-S will be all right. Regardless of what happens in pre district games, WO-S will walk through their district and you might just see them and Newton at AT&T stadium.

Finally someone from Newton speaking common sense. Growing pains, weakest, inexperienced, whatever works in you vocabulary. This is not a typical WOS team...doesn't mean they are not good, just means what purpleeagle said. I talk noise in San Antonio about WOS all the time, but I know what I see this year. They will be fine. WOS  being fine is most teams really good. Cornell has been masterful over the past 4 years and set a certain standard (victim of his own success). He'll coach them up but until then lets just tell it like it is.

All the talk about WO-S finding a QB needs to take a rest. Please. The sophomore QB we have has tracked nicely upward with his play at every level since 7th grade. This was his second start, in wet and sloppy field conditions, with an all time great Newton team in front of him. That should stop being the measuring stick for this kid. He is right where he needs to be. Have patience and show some better reasoning here, please. He will be fine. I expect improvement from him throughout the season. So should you. Watch and see.

You guys do know when someone says find a qb that it means stop the rotation of qb's? We're not really advocating for going out and finding a different qb in the streets. Quit taking things in the literal sense. QB rotations do NOT work. Figuratively speaking FIND A QB!!!

How did they do the last time newton beat them ? So saying that are the weakest is not calling them weak?  So had they won last night would they still be the weakest team in the last five years, heck no you would be saying this young team is gonna make some noise.

Nope...I don't do that. Quit assuming things geez. WOS has lost to Nederland and Newton this year. Probably  going yo drop another one to Crosby. To sit here and say this team is AS good as the last 3 or 4 seasons is crazy and anyone that truly knows football would say the same. Newton won. They get the credit. But please for the love of God don't say this team is the same as the past teams WOS has had. Go back to ANY interview with coach T before the season and he said the same thing. Why does that bother you so much?? I meant inexperienced...there, is that better? The most "inexperienced"...semantics geez

My main point is yes, WOS May be a little down at the moment but the season is still early. What some are forgetting is just how dang good Newton is this year. I would be willing to bet that is the last time Newton scores 21 points all year. This Newton team is on par with 2016 WOS....just a once in a generation type team....an L hurts but it wasn’t like WOS was beat by an inferior team. Hell, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Newton could run rough shot through 4A also! As I always do, I’ll be rooting for the Eagles to bring some more hardware back to SETX (ok, extreme North SETX) lol.

Nah...I would take that 2016 Stang team and run through this years Newton team by 21+

There were people talking about that Stang team here in San Antonio and how they would match up with Cibolo Steele. They held a Sweetwater team that dropped 40+ on Gilmer to a doughnut in SC (on offense). That team was something else.

Matchups happen when matchups happen and the only thing a team can do is put the players on the field that's on the roster! IMO this is one of the least stocked teams-  playmaker/ standout talent wise- that Crosby has had in the last 5yrs but they've found a way to mesh with what they have.

Ok here we go...this is the least stocked teams ever, but hey we beat Manvel state runner up. But we've got nobody.

  7. How do you know what I support? You took that WAY out of context. This IS NOT the typical WOS team...fact. All the would've could've and should've are neither here not there. They are 1-2, they don't have a QB, and are struggling for points. They are "inexperienced" at most spots on the field at this  year. If you're going to say this team is on par with the last 4 years, you're kidding yourself. With that being said they will be fine, they will make the playoffs, and will be a threat to whomever they play..

And saying they are the weakest team in years isn't calling them weak. WOS set that bar themselves...but I'll be more tactful...they are the most inexperienced team WOS has had in years. Coach T even said as much.

I think they will lose.but it want be like u think. Some how and some way have to find an offense. Asking to much out the defense.

Yeah ok...Crosby just dropped an L on Manvel. It will be like anyone should think and then some...ESPECIALLY if WOS can't complete a forward pass!! Have you seen Manvel?

With that being said...Coach T said there will be some changes.

Unless they can find a QB.maybe 3rounds.and that what makes them kids so special.is that w.o hasn't had offense the last 2 yrs.and they find a way to get back 4yrs in a row.QB play will eventually get better next year and year after that.this year I can't see it.we have kids open and can't make a play.

were they really as open as they were making it sound on the radio?

It took a good team to beat a good WOS team. Enough with your young stuff. WOS was young last season and had so many new starters, yet, they played for the title. It’s just the fact that Newton is solid and won the game plain and simple. WOS is still very good.

They were nowhere NEAR as young and inexperienced as they are this year. Newton has a good team nobody is discounting that. Don't get mad because they ARE young...it's no biggie. Everyone at WOS knew what was coming this year. And yes you are right...it takes a Darn good team to beat them.

  11. What does that have to do with anything

Lucky that’s funny. Two divisions higher and Newton got lucky

If you know anything about WOS they are barely a 4a and have never suited up more than 30 even back in the day...people get so stuck on divisions. And by lucky I mean that they ran into a very inexperienced WOS. It is 21-7 Newton against a bunch of sophmores with their 5 D1 players.
