I really don't know ST413, it dawned on me tonite on the way home from a softball game.Afew years back the Taks test and the basketball playoffs conflicted in the first round and most games were local.They still had to be played on Wednesday so I'm not sure what's goin on with this.

I just don't see the horses this year for the Lions.Over the past seasons you could go down a list starting with Hall-Coffey or Busby-Powell or Walker-Bray.I know the area has been down a little this year but I just don't see the go to guys on this Lions club it takes to move much deeper in the playoffs.I hope I'm wrong and wish the Lions well on Wednesday.

With the basketball playoffs be pushed back to Wednesday and Thursday due to a conflict with the TAKS test why in the world can they play softball or baseball on these same nights?What am I missing here ????

Prudhomme would definitely be on a list . McDaniel is a decent player but no way is a better player than any of they guys that are under him on this list.This is a real good example of TopDawg 52 point.You think of the really good players in the area and you can come up with about 12.The top 2 idea from each team still alive is absurd in my opinion.You would have some kids on a list that couldn't start for some of the clubs that are already eliminated.

The two biggest factors in playoff basketball is matchups and adjustments.The Rebels are lucky to have a guys at the helm who has coached at the high school and college level.From here on out the oppostion determines where the ball goes so don't be so quick to say they have to go to the bigs and they have to convert.If the defenses collapse ,and they will, the ball will have to be kicked out and Murphy will have to convert.The ball can take funny bounces this time of year so anything can happen.I hope the Rebels continue to win but I gotta believe they are going to start seeing some pretty good clubs from here on out.

Amen.You could probably come up with 10 to 12 solid players but the depth hasn't been here this year.

Coach Hooten doesn't get enough credit.He had a tough act to follow and a senior laden club he had to win over.Sam sholuld make the tournament and the games they have lost have been close so it should be interesting.I have been going to LU games for years and it's really sad to see how far the program has fallen.

This has to be tough on Travis, I hope he gets lined out and stays on the sideline where he belongs.I wasn't at this one but 2/18 from behind the arc and a deficit of 16 on the boards will get ya beat every time.While the schedule may look bad they have no control who they play in all but 1 of those games.Give Kountze a little credit,they aren't what they were at one time but they aren't a weak sister either.

Anytime you make the state tourney and return your nucleus you have a chance.This group of athletes is pretty good in sevral sports but I think baseball is their strength.

Depends on the size of the crowd.The officials get a flat fee and then a small percentage of the gate not nearly all of it.

Burkeville doesn't have anything to hang there head about but Laneville ends the season for them in this one.

Silsbee has a deeper team team this year than I've seen in the past but I don't think it's the best.I think last years club was a little better overall because of Pheal Hill.

This group for Evadale as been pretty good,not sure how they are gonna adapt when they leave.

Congrats Woodville, 31 points isn't gonna win ya any playoff games.

That Joe Sigler club was the best team I ever saw that didn't win a playoff game.I wonder if the football club would have had travel restrictions.Travis needs to start a marathon tourney to raise funds and travel where his club needs to go.They are too good to handcuff like this.

This game will come down to how Arp takes care of the ball.If they are disciplined and don't turn it over they could easily win.Kountze is a completely different club this year than they have been in the past.They still play good pressing defense but don't have the size they have had in the past that was so hard to pass over the top.Since Linns injury they haven't had a half court game because they simply don't shoot it very well.Linn is a super shooter but it probably isn't fair to expect him to be anywhere close to 100%.All that being said I still like Kountze by 6 in this one.

I would love to see Kountze and EC in the regional finals but I think we may be giving the south end of the region a little too much credit.I haven't seen a lot of our neighbors to the north this year but the south end looks to be down a little.It would definitely be fun to make another trip to Tyler to check out the local clubs.

Speed is in the holder of the gun  ::)If the kid has 80 mph curveball he will be hard to deal with.

I would have loved to see that one.

Duane in't playing with the same deck he has had in the past.This club will be pretty good but realistically they are at least one year away from becoming a pretty good club.
