If Liberty beat Hardin it must have been early in the season.I saw Hardin early in the year but they improved steadily as the season went on.FYI-Liberty's best player last year will be playing at HJ this year.

Let me first say I'm not from HJ so you won't think I'm a homer .Next Ill say say you know absolutely nothing about the Hawks OR nothing about the game .Ryan was a very special player,no doubt, but this team can potentially be better than last years.While they will be extremely deep, they will all have a role and will be very well coached.On any given night they have several that could hang 20 on anyone around here.Lets just let the schedule play out and see how they do.I will tell ya this ,they worked real hard this summer and you gotta respect that after the kind of year they had last year.Will be a great district battle this year.

If you don't want the score ran up you need to work to get better.The kids work all year to perform and its hard to pull em back when there doing what you taught em to do.I don't blame Buna,they know what its like to be on the other side of that score.

Great gesture redfan.I think the kids at Warren would be the first to agree that they gotta cut out the mistakes to win.I have been around these kids forever and they are a great group,I don't think they have any problem with peoples opinions.They are a pretty tough group and they will bounce back and play hard.The kids at the skill positions are gonna make mistakes,the ones with the most heart will continue to work and will overcome them.You gotta love a player who will stick his nose in there to field the tough punts because he is also the one thats gonna win ya the ballgames.Sometimes in high school sports you gotta take those chances.Go Warriors and don't be so hard on yourself redfan its just a message board.

Heard some comments last week about the officiating crew in Kountze.This didn't decide the ballgame because it was bad on both sides.This crew should watch the game film because from bad spots to phantom penalties to just not knowing the rules they were as bad as I've seen .At least they didn't play favorites they were not very good on either side. :-\ :-\ :-\.

What do history and defense have to do with each other?Warren will not shut Hardin out but I don't think anyone puts up 50 the way Warren plays defense.The Warren boys will play hard and they have some big play kids if they get them the ball.They play this game on Thursday to avoid a conflict with the county fair (they have done it for years).Maybe the short week will help the defense.

Lord I hate to pick against the pirates because it kills my karma but I gotta take the Bucs in this one.EC had the week to prepare and their speed will be to much.Tramain and co win this one big. EC-48 Dville-14

Niether club is real strong but there ain't no quit in the Lions.They take this one in a close game.And probably have a shot at 4th in the district. Kountze-14 Anahuac-7

Hardin has a good club and may be the favorite in this one but Warren plays pretty good defense.I don't see the Hornets putting up those kinds of numbers.Unfortunately for the Warriors they wont have to score a ton to win.Playing at Warren I'm rooting for my boys but Hardin probably wins it . Very exciting ballgame tonight in Kountze , unfortunately for the Warriors it's another one we drop on a missed extra point.We lost 3 last year on missed PAT,we gotta fix the special teams .Congrats Lions it definitely kept everyone out of there seats.

Theres no way New Waverly can play with EC.Kountze will be solid but I think they lost 2 many players to repeat.You gotta like Arp with the big guy.Man we gotta get this started.

I don't think anyone from Warren has ever said they were overpowering.They will play hard and will compete with whoever is on the schedule.There record last year was 24-8 with losses to Kountze(2),EC(2),WH,HJ,Newton and Dewyville.Thats 2 state champs,2 regional finalist and 2 more pretty solid clubs.With everyone but Kinney returning and as much as they stayed in the gym this summer they should do all right.Go Warriors

Evidently you have never played against Bernard or Burrell.These are 2 completely different kinds of players but both can take over a game.If Bernard is on his game he can be scary good.Another one who should be in the top 10 is Ybarro from Barbers Hill,this kid can play.

It will be down a little this year,I don't think HJ is coming.Not sure about EC.Warren will be in it,last year it had nearly all 24aa in it,that may not be good because you wind up playing your district clubs 3 or 4 times.

He doesn't play,just supports his team.As a matter of fact none of the Warren players post on this board with the exception of Andrews occasionally.When he does it is just to yell at some friends from other teams.Heard some district coach thought Warren had the big head from this board,just thought I'd let him know the kids don't post on here and they aren't overlooking anyone.The district race is gonna be fun for us fans to watch.

The last several years they have really been down.

They have 2 very good guards returning who got quite a bit of playing time last year.I think there names are Domingo and Donte( not real sure of the spelling but you will recognize them).They fly to the ball on the press and shoot it pretty well.

Yep,it's full of em.Kountze has some very good defenders.Swinney is from Warren.EC also has some kids that play great defense.

Bland is a very good ballplayer for Deweyville.Marsh I think is one of the best in the district from mid range.You give him the ball 10-12 ft from the basket and he is unstoppable.Can jump thru the roof,he was voted defensive player of the year and that surprised me , while he isn't a bad defender that's not his strength.Brey will mature but everyone has to remember he is just a sophomore,Kountze has a couple of guards that make them go and are every bit as good as some on the list.Rivon is pretty solid for Anahuac but was hurt some last year.I'm really not sure about Buna,they should have some players in a school that size but they don't come out for some reason.The one player that is consistantly overlooked on these sites is Johnathan Ward from Lumberton,this kid can play just doesn't have a world of help to compete in the district there in.

I was impressed with the big kids leadership this summer.I don't think thats gonna be a problem for that group.They looked like they knew it was his team.

They will really have to work if they do.I think Copeland is the best player in the district but he will have to carry a huge load and defenses will be geared this year to slow him down.With the loss of Letsinger they will depend on him to get the ball down the floor and that will take its toll on the legs.Tomlinson will also be a huge loss as he gave them a scoring threat at the post.Losing any of the 3 (Letsinger,Simmons or Tomlinson would make it tough but all 3 and the coach makes it nearly impossible.That being said I hope they do well,I got a chance to follow them last year several times when our kids were'nt playing and really enjoyed watching them.

BS is definitely the team to beat but Spurger is gonna surprise some folks.Whittacre is a very good player and his brother even though a freshman will help.Some of these young guns for Spurger are pretty atheletic plus they have a good coach over there.Look for them and HD to split home and away(nobody hardly beats either team at home)and playoff for the second seed.

They have a tremendous fullback.Kid's first name is Davey, if the coaching staff will put the ball in his hands they have a chance to be decent.They also have a young vietnamese kid who is a pretty decent RB.They honestly look like they could win some ballgames with the personnel they have.Not sure what the problem is.This game will look like 2 teams playing in a mirror.Tubbs and Davey are exactly the same kind of players on both sides of the ball.
